Best Campgrounds near Holiday, FL

Camped in site 11. Absolutely beautiful and peaceful.

Awesome park with well maintained trail. There are a lot of other small trails that lead off into the woods. If you wander, bring a compass and throw some az. Fun times

This place has a boat/kayak launch right into crystal clear spring. The campground is well kept. Laundry and restroom facilities more than adequate. Very restful and peaceful.

We recently stayed at Clover Forest RV Park in our 40ft Class A Motorhome, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The park is clean and well-maintained, with nice amenities that made our stay comfortable. The pool was sparkling clean and provided a great spot to relax during the hot afternoons. The laundry facilities were convenient and well-kept, which is always a plus when on the road.

One thing to note is that the spaces are a bit small, especially for a larger RV like ours. It felt a little tight maneuvering into the spot, but we managed fine. The proximity to other campers wasn’t an issue, though it’s something to keep in mind if you’re used to more space.

Overall, Clover Forest RV Park offered a good balance of comfort and convenience. The small spaces didn’t detract too much from the experience, and the clean facilities and amenities made it a solid choice for a short or long stay.

This was a great spot. We visited during the week and hardly had any neighbors. There is a gate code to get in which made me feel very safe and secure. Gorgeous trees throughout the sites and nice little paths to explore. We had enough signal to watch a movie in our tent at night. The bathrooms were well maintained. I wish we had more time at this spot and so look forward to returning.

Didn‘t find the Main Camping area. Parked in one of the side roads. Didn’t run into anyone eventhough permit page indicated Booked out.

We love this place. The long and windy ride in gives you a trip back to some real Florida. The campground is well maintained and has large, level sites. We have stayed in site 1 and 11 and didn’t need blocks for either. Easy access to Richloam for some Jeeping in the woods.

This park just reopened a couple of weeks ago from the hurricanes. They are slowly bringing the sites back up to par, but it is still an awesome place. Everything is kept up, and several short trails to see The only class 2 rapids in Florida. Pretty wild.

PROS: lots of trees and shade, near river. 

CONS: right next to a highway/ large road with TONS of traffic noise. A fair amount of trash scattered around the campground, and a portapotty right on our site. Also, although it's near Little Manatee River State Park, the trails are not accessible from the campground and you can't really walk safely along the highway/big road to get to the trailhead. 

ALSO: many people staying there seem to be long-term residents-- it doesn't really cater to vacation travelers. That's fine and everyone was friendly.

Camp spots are big, flat with gravel parking areas. Power and water an each site for RV camping. Nicer (newer) bathrooms than most FL state parks. Our van is so small in our site.

Stayed 1 night on way to Ocalla National Forest.

Very nice staff, the showers and toilets are simple. You hear the nearby road.

People- 5 Stars Wildlife Viewing- 5 Stars Moise- Negative 10. On the weekends, the airport noise is painfully deafening and hurts your ear drums even with ear pods. Wish it could be better, but with the headaches and pain in my ears and lack of sleep here make it a no go ever!

Nice level spots. Lots to around the state park.

This is primarily an RV campground. I’m a tent camper and felt like I was in an RV zoo. However, the facilities are very good with toilet/shower facilities. Electric and water at each site. Shady spacious sites. CG is patrolled by park rangers. Host has firewood for sale. Gate code required (comes with reservation). Best thing about this place is the surrounding area: lots of (walking only) trails but my favorite, the seemingly endless off roading sandy Jeep trails throughout this forest state park - lovely!
