Campsite outside of a climbing shop near Hueco Tanks. This campground allows affordable camping for climbers looking to visit Hueco Tanks, especially if they are looking for a guide which the business also offers.
From Website: "Our Campgrounds host 30 Tent Campsites and 5 RV Electric Sites. We’re located 1 mile from the Hueco Tanks park entrance gate on paved roads. Campsites measure approx. 15 ft. x 15 ft. and can hold 2-3 standard tents (4-6 people maximum). If you have a large group we will provide additional Campsites according to availability."
Lots of dispersed sites but looks like a very popular area we passed over 20 campers before finding a spot. Spots are pretty well spaced out with lots of vegetation inbetween. Road is a little rough 4x4 definitely recommended.
I had hiked here before but staying was nice. Quiet and somewhat off spaces but very well maintained. Do not expect any privacy in spots.
Stayed in #43. Most sites are uneven and short. BLM recommends nothing more than 23' long. Water available at host site near gate before driving about 4 or 5 mi to campsites. Road IS narrow and winding and steep in place but pave and ONE way (don't turn wrong direction). Toilets were clean and mens toilets all had soft-close lids. I am told womens do not. Campground was clean, great 4 mile loop hike, and other much more strenuous/technical options for mountain climbers. Mountain crags remind me of a mix of Tetons, Patagonia and Sawtooth in Idaho. Great views to Sacramento Mountains to the east (Ruidoso/Cloudcroft area--Sierra Blanca covered in snow early Nov.). White Sands nearby along with White Sands Missile Range Museum). Met some BLM peeps who were very nice, helpful and provided great information re: geology of the area and other points of interest. We brought our own 5 gal of water and were fine for 3 nights.
ALSO: shout out to New Mexico Volunteers for the Outdoors who were doing trail rehab./maintenance work while we were in area, yay!
Only five miles from Hueco Tanks SP. Has all the amenities, tons of primitive campsites, RV sites (electric/gray water & potable water hookups), yurt rentals and camp trailer rentals. Primitive sites are only $5/person nightly. Quiet desert scenery surrounding!
Great sites with close and clean toilets. We found a few level spots that would work for rooftop tents, but most spots seemed a little rocky and uneven for tents. There is a lovely 4 mile hike that loops up in the mountains by the sites.

Not bad at all. Not far off the main road. Paved road to it. Gravelled grounds. Pretty level. Quiet. This isn't a huge campground but we had no trouble finding a spot.
We usually opt more for National Forests and Parks, but this was a great stop after a fabulous but more rustic experience camping at Chiricahua National Monument. This place has been updated and has more amenities than I’ve ever seen at an RV park including a dog bath! The bathrooms are updated and clean. Our view site was great and more spacious than the pull through ones. No one was to our right, so our site felt extra spacious. Staff were kind and helpful. Very clean and quiet park. I’d stay here again.

It’s great to hear about the spacious sites and beautiful surroundings that enhance the outdoor experience. Your mention of nearby hiking trails is particularly helpful for those looking to explore. Sprunki
We stayed with the doggos and our son on a RTT and had a great time other people are camping and might be too loud for your taste but not too much to ruin it. Views are amazing especially from the hikes
We stopped on either end of our trip to the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta. It was a great midway point from home. We stayed in a patio site. The site was spacious and level. A fire pit with chairs, a propane grill, and table with 4 chairs was provided. The kids enjoyed cornhole, basketball, tetherball, and the playground. The store was well stocked. I only wish more local products were sold. Many of the items that appeared to be made by Native Americans were actually imported from overseas. We also wish the community room had board games or movies to check out. The coffee and pastries was a great touch! We will definitely be back to explore the area more. Employees were friendly and kind. A great place to stay!
Nice clean site , and facilities. A1.
Briefly stopped to scouts the sites and area. A few people hiking. Several cars and trucks parked in the area. Day use and picnic areas here. Sure wish to see camping or dispersed in this area. Evening and night skies are beautiful but gate usually closes at sunset. We driven near this area late night and still catch a glimpse of vehicles traveling out of this area.
The facilities are clean and the wine is good. I recommend this. The atmosphere is great also.
The park itself is beautifully maintained, with lush green spaces and well-manicured sites that offer plenty of room for even the largest RVs. Each site is equipped with full hookups, which made our stay comfortable and convenient. We were particularly impressed with the cleanliness of the facilities, including the restrooms and laundry area, which were always spotless. I also get help from africanmag
No amenities like electricity, water or dump stations. Great for walking, cycling, birding. The only camping sites in the metropolitan area in Texas. Sites are semi level and gravel. Great for meditating
Beautiful area with a history site close from El Paso, TX
We stayed one night and really enjoyed the stay. They have a large outdoor covered wine tasting area that allows dogs. An excellent wine sampling set helped choose a good wine. I’m not a normal wine connoisseur, but the staff was helpful in finding options that I liked. The RV area is just a big parking lot with one electric hookup. The surrounding area is beautiful wine and pecan orchards. Loved this place!
Absolutely fantastic KOA! Either is brand new or redone/crazily well kept up! Tent spots, covered tent spots, RV spots with 120/30A/50A and water, dump station - shower house has better showers than most hotels, bathrooms are big and clean.
Really nice pool (that closes at 7 😢), basketball court, corn hole, play ground.
Pretty cool view of Las Cruces at night.
Stayed overnight. Clean, roomy sites, nice people.
Staying in a wooden house could be really cool, looking at the photos, I realized that I should do it one day, I'm usually someone who likes to play basketball https://basketballlegends.fun , maybe I can do it there.
Great campsite right outside of las cruces. Very pretty drive in but easy to fly by if you’re going too fast on the main highway. Good spot to stay if you want to hike any of the trails in the Organ mountains
Tent camping was wonderful at this location. Clean and reasonably priced.
Was able to fill up her with fresh water. That and the bath/shower got us through two days here. Good wine, too.
Parking for sites is SLANTED, very few flat! 1 bar Verizon. Gorgeous here but tough in a camper van. Also very windy.
This is a small RV park just west of ElPaso. It’s older and could use some maintenance. Sites are level, but very close to. Lots of dust. (This is the desert , so maybe expected) 30/50 amp, water & sewer. Free WiFi and Cable TV No dog park. No pool There is a convenience store and grocery store.
