    Hacienda RV Resort

    Beautiful and relaxing

This is an RV resort, not to be confused either an RV park. Lots of large pull through sites, a few back in. Water, sewer, electric- 30/50 amp. WiFi, cable TV, patio with fireplace and hot tub. There used to be an exercise room, meeting rooms, copy & fax service, & laundry. The bathroom and showers are clean and nice. Plus, they have a dog wash area and one of the best dog run areas I’ve found at an RV park or resort! There is actually room for the dogs to run.

Nice CG for Convenient Overnight Stay

We stayed one night (May 30, 2022). The is a nice, easy access CG with large, level pull through and back in gravel sites. It is located at the I-10 and 375 interchange next to a trucking container storage facility– there is a lot of road noise and trucking activity, but no bother. The WiFi was good as was cell service. There are a number of activities available: clubhouse, indoor swimming, tennis and basketball courts, playground, horseshoes, biking and walking (within the RV park). We did not make use of the laundry, bathrooms or showers. It was convenient for an overnight stay. We would stay here again.

Aguirre Spring Recreation Area and Campground

    Gorgeous 360 degree views

Beautiful spot. More amenities than I expected. Prettier than most national park campgrounds. The road in is fully paved but it is winding… a sign out front warns that trailers >23’ are not recommended. We had no trouble with our 19’ trailer. The site has fire ring, grill, trash can, covered picnic table, stone paving. Really nice. There are pull through and back in sites. We came mid August… there were only two other camping sites occupied. We enjoyed the sunset then rain set in for the entire night. It really is a gorgeous site. Way more amenities than you’d expect for boondocking.

    Love's RV Hookup-Santa Teresa NM 817

    perfect for my personal preferences

pulled into the loves parking lot that I had scoped out on Google maps. pulled directly into the first lane of pumps with the ass end blocking traffic. And from there, I could just pull forward and back into my spot full of fuel.

In the morning I made a reservation so I can stay here another night as well. I was just going to stay one night. But I can get Propane within walking distance of my truck and the subway shop isn't much farther. Maybe I'll check out the laundry facilities, too. I've already filled the freshwater tank and the water seems fine. Good thing I do not need to dump my black tank because even with the extension, I don't think my hoses would reach. The flaw in the design is that all the sites are back in and the pedestals and sewer ports are behind the RV when parked. Don't worry though because there is a dump station even closer than the propane refill. All six sites orient each camper pretty much due east west with the passenger side to the south. Actually, putting a sewer connection at each site is overkill when there is a nearby dump station, that you can use on your way in or your way out. For one night stops that's all you need. The street noise is tolerable. All the big trucks go to the opposite side of this complex. There were distant train noises and I could barely see the tops of a few cars over the western horizon. Getting the power turned on took a couple phone calls and unintelligible conversations over the intercom setup at the kiosk. I got $72 of propane and the attendant even carried a full 20 and 40 over to my site. While in the office paying for that I got them to turn the power back on, which was turned off at noon because yesterdays stay was over and todays had not started. This gas station and“travel stop” does not sell beer?!?!?!?!? Make sure to ask for your favorite adult beverage, maybe they will get some

    Hacienda RV Resort

    Hacienda RV Resort, NM

Located in Las Cruces New Mexico, Hacienda RV resort is conveniently situated right off of interstate 10. Their main office is closed currently due to COVID precautions, but they are still very accommodating. The sites are small, but have everything you need with level concrete pads and full hook ups. They have a large laundry room. Make sure you use the ones closest to the door (on the right) because they are newer and don’t leave your clothes soaking wet. The dog park is large and has several entrances- it also provides waste bags and a garbage can, which is a plus. The bathrooms are private and include a toilet and shower- clean!!

    Hacienda RV Resort

    Nothing Special

Our RV GPS and Waze brought us right to this campground (CG) off I-10. Check-in was friendly and efficient. We were then escorted to back-in 186 with FHUs. When we originally made reservations, we selected site 181. At check-in, they were puzzled about how we knew about this site. The site was on the CG map and on the end of a row, so we asked for it. We were told that site 181 is reserved for their Regional Manager. Even though the site was empty, we were moved to 186. This site was long enough for our 40’ rig, but we had to park our F450 angled adjacent to the site. The sites here are also very close together. Water and electric sits pretty much centered on the gravel pad, with the sewer more towards the back. With our 5th wheel parked all the way back in the site, we needed 15’ of sewer hose. There was no picnic table nor fire pit. We had a clear shot of the northern sky for Starlink and 5 bars on Verizon. Their WiFi was usable. The water pressure here is really good, so we used a reducer. They have a long fenced dog run that runs along the south side of the CG and is in sections. Our dogs really enjoyed this dog area. They have a good-sized laundry room that you pay using your cell phone. Washing cost$2 and drying$2 for 45 min. Pay attention when pulling out on the main road near the office. We almost got hit by an oncoming vehicle turning left when departing the RV park. There’s a curve, and the locals drive this shortcut road well over the speed limit. The CG served its purpose for us to visit an old friend for a few days.

    Las Cruces KOA

    Beautiful views

Easy access off the I10 and very close to town and stores and restaurants . The campground is set up on a hill providing beautiful 180 degree views. The staff person in the office was wonderful, professional and helpful. There is a nicely stocked store. The park is very clean and the utilities were in great shape and easy to connect. There is a concrete pad assuring a level site. The picnic table was the nicest that we have seen, it was very clean, in perfect condition and made from great material. It is a lovely campground and we’ll be back.

Located at an elevation of 3,789 feet in the Chihuahuan Desert region, this area experiences hot summers with temperatures regularly exceeding 100°F and mild winters. Most camping facilities remain open year-round due to the arid climate with minimal rainfall.

What to do

Visit White Sands National Park: Located about 90 minutes from Anthony, this unique destination features pure white gypsum sand dunes. "We took extra day to visit white sands and experience some New Mexico Mexican food at Andele Restaurant. Weather was perfect in October," shares a visitor at Sunny Acres RV Park.

Explore historic Mesilla: This preserved 19th-century town near Las Cruces offers cultural experiences and shopping. "We took a short drive to La Mesilla and the farmers market in Las Cruces—definitely recommend both," notes a camper from Las Cruces KOA.

Exercise outdoors: Several RV parks offer recreational facilities for active travelers. "The amenities are pickle ball, large dog run, community room, laundry, billiards, and restrooms. We chose this park because of its central location to everything," reports a guest at Sunny Acres RV Park.

What campers like

Mountain views: The Organ Mountains provide scenic backdrops at many campgrounds. "This 55+ park is in town so close to shopping. Good view of Organ Mountains. Park is clean and well maintained," writes a reviewer at Sunny Acres RV Park.

Clean facilities: Well-maintained bathrooms and amenities are frequently mentioned in positive reviews. "This is a nice park with lots of facilities. Laundry has commercial machines. Full hookups with lots of pull thru spots," notes a visitor at Fort Bliss RV Park.

Pet amenities: Dog-friendly facilities make traveling with pets easier. "It also has three individual dog parks. It's close to hwy 54 so there is road noise, but you get used to it," mentions a camper at Fort Bliss RV Park.

What you should know

Military-only restrictions: Some RV parks require military identification. "NOTE: Park is only for Active, Reservist, Retired Military members, their dependents, and blood relatives being escorted," cautions a reviewer at Fort Bliss RV Park.

Highway noise: Many Anthony area RV campgrounds are situated near major roadways. "We got put in the last row along the highway. It forced us inside because it was not any fun to listen to," warns a Fort Bliss visitor.

Water pressure variations: High water pressure can damage RV plumbing systems. "Water pressure seemed pretty high, just so happens I lost our regulator and we blew out a hose(thankfully not an RV line)," reports a camper at Hacienda RV Resort.

Tips for camping with families

Check age restrictions: Several RV parks in the region have age limitations. "This 55+ park is in town so close to shopping. Even though this is 55+ children and grandchildren are welcome," notes a Sunny Acres RV Park visitor.

Look for recreational activities: Some campgrounds offer family-friendly amenities. "The kids enjoyed cornhole, basketball, tetherball, and the playground. The store was well stocked," shares a family staying at Las Cruces KOA.

Consider timing: Seasonal temperatures affect outdoor activities. "Hot(it's TX desert🤷🏼‍♂️)," mentions a Fort Bliss camper, while another notes, "Might be a bit nicer in cooler weather—just way too hot to do much around grounds (BBQ, cornhole, spa)."

Tips from RVers

Accessibility considerations: RV campgrounds vary in their ability to accommodate different vehicles. "This is a 130 spot park. Totally designed with pulling through in mind. All sites are concrete and full hook up," explains a Fort Bliss RV Park reviewer.

Reservation policies: Booking processes differ between facilities. "It's first come, first serve no reservations. The staff at the office were extremely helpful," notes a Fort Bliss visitor, while others mention, "When we checked in we were told we could only stay a night, despite having made a week-long reservation," at Mission RV Park.

Site spacing: RV parks in Anthony and surrounding areas vary in spaciousness. "Sites are very close together," mentions a visitor to El Paso Roadrunner RV Park, while another notes, "The sites are large and can easily accommodate large rigs," at Sunny Acres RV Park.
