Best RV Parks & Resorts near Beach Lake, PA

CAMPER SUMMARY PRESENTED BYFord

Several RV campgrounds near Beach Lake provide options for motorhome travelers seeking full hookups and spacious sites. Soaring Eagle Campground in Equinunk offers electric and water hookups with a sanitary dump station, operating from May through Columbus Day. Clayton Park RV Escape in Lake Ariel features pull-through rv pads with 50-amp service and sewer connections. "Even though I had a boo boo, they were very forgiving," noted one visitor about their experience with a black water tank issue at Clayton Park. Keen Lake Resort Campground accommodates big rigs with full hookup sites, though reviews indicate some areas have limited spacing between neighboring RVs. Thousand Trails Scotrun provides year-round access with electric, water, and sewer hookups.

Navigating to some Pocono Mountain RV parks requires careful driving on narrow, winding roads with elevation changes. Most campgrounds in the region offer dump stations, though availability of 50-amp service varies considerably. Cell service can be spotty in more remote locations, particularly at campgrounds nestled in valleys or heavily wooded areas. Pet policies are generally accommodating, with designated dog-friendly areas at larger resorts. Based on reviews from The Dyrt, campground bathhouses range dramatically in quality and cleanliness, from "the cleanest we've ever experienced" to facilities described as "completely trashed and moldy." Fall foliage season attracts significant crowds to the area's RV parks, making advance reservations essential from late September through mid-October.

    Stony MT Family Campground

    We’d do it again!

Not cheap but we’ll within area norms. This camp has many long term campers that are friendly and helpful and some have children with them. Some full-time rigs are weekend campers. Some weekend events are planned. Most sites have full hookups with 50 amp electric only so if needed have an adapter (available at the small camp store. We had an unplanned extension on our visit that included a weekend where a group was scheduled and the park was booked including our site. The friendly staff worked to ensure a temporary site for us for the weekend.

    Kymers Camping Resort

Fun, friendly & nestled in the woods

We stayed at Kymer's on a whim for a weekend, so we could be close to Mountain Creek for a Spartan Race. It truly exceeded our expectations in all aspects. This is a family friendly, camper-friendly place. Lots of seasonals- everyone waves, everyone stops to chat. This is what a campground should feel like. The sound of laughter and play sitting around the huge, clean pool was refreshing. Our site was Oak 10. It was level, good placement of electric water & sewer connects. Camp store has all the basics you might need. There is a brook that flows adjacent to the property. It's peaceful & magical. Pet friendly, although we didn't have our pup with us. We will be back again. I almost feel like I'm revealing a hidden gem with this post. 💎

    Mountain Vista Campground

    Mt Vista Campground

Beautiful Campground. Clean. Gravel sites. Fire ring and picnic table. All sites have ample room. Lots of pull through for bigger rigs. Wooded. Large dog park. Love the Campground except our site is near a fairly busy road which takes away from that beautiful tranquility. They have camouflaged it as best they could. Friendly staff. Lots to do. Pool, tennis. Sauna, pond for fishing ( catch & release ). Would definitely recommend.

    Tobyhanna State Park Campground

    Great family campground

This place only gets 4 stars because I thought we were going to have water and electric hook ups. They only have 2 kinds of sites, modern electric (only electric) and primitive. They have a potable water station and dump station and very few sites with electric hook up. They also have specific pet friendly sites. We had a wonderful time here. We went for Father’s Day weekend in June. The lake is gorgeous! Beachfront swimming and boat rentals, great biking and hiking trails. Sites are mostly separated by trees but are still close. Bath houses were very clean and they have a dish washing sink as well. Beach is within walking and biking distance. Two cons- Bath house at the beach is 50 cents for a 2-minute shower, so we just went back to the campground bath house to clean up. The playground near sites 53-56 is a little underwhelming. Otherwise was a great stay! We already booked another stay in September this year!

The Pines Campground — Promised Land State Park

Quiet, just remote enough, a Great Lake, and nice camp hosts

I stayed for three nights in a pull through trailer site with 50 AMP and 30 AMP electric. Easy to get in and out of, nice and shady, big spaces so you were not on top of one another, and nice and quiet. Clean and modern bath house, water close by, and great camp hosts. Definitely recommend it.

Lower Lake Campground Northwoods Area — Promised Land State Park

    Northwoods Campground

Big sites with 30 amp service available for RVs and trailers. Each site has a large picnic table and a fire ring with an adjustable grate. The pull-through sites don’t offer much in the way of privacy, but that’s the trade off for convenience. There are two potable water spigots in the campground. The bathhouse offers warm showers, 2 dishwashing sinks, and a coin-operated washer and dryer. The facilities are kept very clean. On the weekends it can get pretty crowded, so it tends to be louder at night then, but the camp hosts and the rangers do a good job of enforcing quiet hours. Access points to several trails are very near the campground. As with all PA state parks, alcohol is prohibited. The park doesn’t have a camp store, however, there is a small general store on Route 390 (The Lake Store) just north of the park that would have any essentials you may have forgotten, as well as ice for your cooler.

    Panther Lake Camping Resort

    Stayed all summer

We stayed at Panther Lake as full timers all season. Great during the week but very busy on weekends. Could be noisy with children not very well supervised.
Friendly, helpful staff. Cable TV poor when it rains. Cell service spotty all carriers. No internet at sites. Lake beautiful and pool nice.

    Montrose Campground

Family and pet friendly year-around campground

We tried this campground a few times for short stays and ended up going seasonal last year and will do the same this year. It is a little off the beaten path but is great for families (plenty of activities for kids) and pets (our dog LOVES it there). They have a pool, fishing pond, hiking trails, mini golf, playground, large grassy areas for kids to play, and horseshoe pits. There is a store (stocked with grocery staples/snacks but also TONS of RV specific supplies/parts), laundry and showers (a new and improved bath house is currently being built). There are planned activities almost every weekend during the 'season' but they are open all year with some winter sites available. They have all sites available from tent right up to 50 amp full hook-ups. I can't wait for the new season to begin in April!

    Happy Days Campground

Quiet, wooded, natural, lots to do in the area!

We stayed at Happy Days from Friday to Monday with our 21 foot travel trailer. Site P6. Pretty level site. We liked this site and the one next to it the best out of all of the sites. George at the camp store was so helpful and we watched him actively keeping up on and taking care of the campground cleaning, etc. the entire time. Showers had great pressure and bathrooms were super clean. We showered after a Spartan Race Mud Run and they were great. Scenic spot, mature trees, we could hear foxes communicating at night. Firewood available at camp store $7 a bundle. No sewer on sites, but has a dump station. Water pressure at the site was very good. Old school playground for kids, volleyball court. The rec hall had a piano, pool table, ping pong table and more. Close to dining, Kauneonga Lake and Callicoon Farmers Market among others. We will be back!

Guide to Beach Lake

The Pocono Mountains region near Beach Lake, Pennsylvania sits at elevations between 1,200 and 2,300 feet, creating varied camping terrain with seasonal temperature fluctuations. Spring campers should prepare for overnight temperatures that can drop below 40°F, while summer highs typically reach 80-85°F. Cell service improves at higher elevation campgrounds but diminishes significantly in valleys.

What to do

Waterfront activities: Soaring Eagle Campground provides direct access to the Delaware River for fishing, kayaking and tubing. "Nice campground right on the Delaware river great for fisherman, hikers also great for tubing down the Delaware or canoeing," notes camper Mike S. The river location makes it popular during warmer months.

Miniature golf: Pleasant Acres Farm RV Resort features mini golf among its recreational offerings. "There is a small playground, a mini golf, and a large dog walk," mentions Bill B. The course is located on the upper part of the property near other amenities.

Animal interactions: Families appreciate the farm animal encounters at Pleasant Acres. "The farm has goats, a donkey, and a pony within the campground. Very cool," reports Faith D. Children particularly enjoy the feeding opportunities with the farm animals throughout the day.

What campers like

Spacious sites: Campers appreciate the generous site dimensions at Soaring Eagle Campground and the Inn at Kellam's Bridge, which provides ample room for multiple camping units. "Sites are huge, plenty of room for 2+ family campers," notes Hans M. The campground maintains a more natural setting despite offering hookups.

Clean facilities: The bathrooms at some area campgrounds receive specific praise. One camper reports about Soaring Eagle: "Bathhouse was very clean, very rustic," while another notes the property maintains "a more remote and rustic feel by preserving the trees, stream and riverfront property in a mutual state without concrete pads or driveways."

Winter availability: Tri-State RV Park remains open year-round, providing an option for cold-weather camping. "Open during the winter. Easy on, easy off. Lots of pull through sites," comments camper BENdejo. The winter accessibility makes it one of the few options for off-season visits to the region.

What you should know

Site conditions vary significantly: Some campgrounds have uneven terrain. At Pleasant Acres, guests report "campsites are not well maintained, weedy, un-level and picnic tables are weathered and warped." Always check recent reviews about specific sites or areas within each campground.

Highway proximity considerations: Tri-State RV Park provides convenient access but comes with associated noise. "Located just off the highway so lots of vehicle noise 24/7. Sites are on a gravel lot," explains Michael H. Another camper adds: "You could actually feel the heavier trucks go by."

Water pressure variations: RVers should monitor water connections at Thousand Trails Timothy Lake South. "Best water pressure I have seen on the east coast, unregulated it's over 80 psi," warns Don C. A pressure regulator is essential at this location.

Tips for camping with families

Kid-friendly options: Keen Lake Resort Campground provides extensive children's activities. "My kids absolutely love it and always have something to do. They have activity coordinators that make sure there is something to do for all ages every hour of the day!" shares Mike H. The activity schedule remains consistent throughout the camping season.

Camping with infants: Some campgrounds accommodate very young children. At Soaring Eagle, one experienced camper notes, "My son had his first camping trip there when he was ten days old. It is great family camp ground with amenities that are helpful to parents and new campers."

Swimming alternatives: Keen Lake Resort Campground offers both lake and pool swimming options. "My kids really loved having a pool to swim in, in addition to the lake," reports Emily Z. The dual swimming options provide flexibility during busy weekends when one area may become crowded.

Tips from RVers

Overnight transit options: Tri-State RV Park serves well for single-night stays. "Perfect for the commuting RVers just looking for somewhere safe to sleep for the night," reports Brittany V. The campground provides "a decent laundry facility and full hook ups" without extra frills.

Site selection for electronics: Satellite and cell service require planning at Timothy Lake South. One camper explains: "Had to move to a new site to get away from the trees to get starlink connectivity." Sites away from dense tree coverage provide better reception for devices.

Rental options: For those new to RV camping near Beach Lake, Pennsylvania, Clayton Park RV Escape earns high marks for its well-maintained rental accommodations. "A well run, well staffed, facilities are excellent," states Robert H. The park maintains pull-through RV pads with various hookup options.
