Spacious and landscaped

The campground is clean and well maintained.  Bathrooms and laundry room were clean and in good order.  They are a little picky about the grass and flowers, but it seems to work as the park was green and well maintained.  The only negative is the trains.  If you are a light sleeper you might have…

Friendly place

Smooth check in with attention to detail about our site. They also gave us some great recommendations of local businesses and attractions. Nice trail walk to the creek.

Lovely amd well kept

This is a great stop if you need a place to crash. The train and the highway are adjacent to the campground so the noise was an issue for us. There is also a shooting range nearby. Overall very clean and friendly.

Great campground!

Memorial day weekend 2021 fee $15 / night . Clean vault toilets...good well water lots of space between sites. Our only misfortune was Hotshot crews and Helicopters were practicing repelling all weekend in the forest around the campground.

Busy location

Enjoyed my stay but it is in a very busy location. You either access the campground through a busy downtown area or a narrow residential area. The campground itself is very large but crowded. The RV sites have some space between them but not a lot. The tent sites are nicely surrounded by trees. The…

Montana at its best

This is a great campground in a great location. Lots to do both in the campground and in the city. Lots of breweries and casinos located downtown. You can drive to many hiking trails. Many rivers to fly fish in the area. We have stayed in this campground for 5 or 6 years in a row. Friendly staff.

Simple camping

This was a quick spot when traveling to Yellowstone. Easy to access from I-90. Not a huge place and no showers. But the bathrooms are clean, the campgrounds have space and you get to listen to the river. Unfortunately the fishing wasn’t superb based on the river run off for the season. But it…

Easy for kayak or canoe launch

We use this area a lot. The boat launch is definitely not fir larger boats, so there’s not a lot of the chaos associated with type places. Parking is good, and it’s easy to get the the restrooms.

Good early season spot

Good spot that’s just short of salmon and seely lake. It gets really packed in the summer but if you can go earlier in the year or mid week should be ok. Road getting in is dirt and gravel with some pot holes but nothing a travel trailer or midsize 5th wheel couldn’t do. Spots vary in size and side…

Beautiful and forested!

This is a gorgeous area with tons of shade and sites right on the water. It is close to the highway, but the highway isn’t super busy to begin with. Only a short drive further down the road to Lolo Hot Springs! Sites are shaded and well spread apart, there is a clear path to the bathroom from…

Great little historical place!

This campground wasn’t open yet when I went to check it out, but it’s a cute little historical site off of FS Road 37. I almost missed the turn because it’s not super well marked, but you’ll see the sign for the forest service road and there’s a little bridge across the river. It’s a super minimal…

So much fun!

Absolutely gorgeous medium-sized lake about 4 miles off a dirt road. Campsite has five closely connected campsites. It is usually a pretty busy waterway. Campsites usually are full but if you can get one, it’s worth it Residents pay $12 a night for up to seven days, non-residents paint $18 a night…

One of the best camping experiences you'll ever have

The closest you can get to overlanding without... overlanding. Remote cabin is just enough to stay warm and dry at the top of the world. Stayed in June and needed to keep the fire going all night for warmth. At the time there was plenty of roughly pre-cut firewood on site, but bring your axe as the…
