Be ready to hike it in primitive tent

My wife and I stayed for 3 days. The worst part was had to hike in about a mile to primitive camp and the spots are not well marked. One we got set up though had a great time beautiful spot. Then had to pack and hike out

Hidden Gem

This place totally surprised us with how nice it was! They accept Passport America, so a full hookup sight was about $9/night. $18 without Passport America. Sites are large and private. Many are pull through. We had our own kayaks and bikes, so we went kayaking in the creek and mountain biking on…

In The Swamp Creek

This is a neat little campground that kinda sits between 8 mile and Saraland,AL. Not a very big area for you to camp if you have a pull behind or big RV. But people do manage to get the bigger camper and RV's in and parked. Could use a little more clean up in the three bathhouses and around the…

Campground could use some upgrade

The lake is beautiful. Some of the campsites looked like long term sites with a lot of junk around them. This would be a great place to pull an inter tube with a boat. Looked a little sad. It was quiet though.

Beautiful lake view

Second time at Flint Creek in Wiggins Mississippi. Stayed during the middle of January of 2021 on site 29.

The back of the site backs up to the lake, with plenty of beach to fish or hangout. This site would be perfect during the summer if you wanted to swim. The site had full hookups with 50amp…

Subpar at best

Primitive campsite had lots of trash on the ground (kids socks, plastic, toilet paper). Port-o-pottys were disgusting. Stayed one night on my cross country drive and it was one night too many.

Nice and quiet

Site 141 was in a very wooded area at the far end of all three RV areas. We stayed during the second weekend of Dec. weather was brisk with a small amount of rain on Saturday. Had a beautiful view of the water where you could fish. This spot was so quiet and peaceful, no road noise was heard the…

Easy boondocking

We arrived a little later in the evening however.. gayle was awesome! She met us right out front of the main gate and explained the amenities that were available to us and how to easily access our campsite. Other then some non enjoyable chatty Kathys talking by our vehicles and aimlessly walking…

Worth the money

My boyfriend and I car camp and try to stay in primitive areas for the lesser (or no) fees. This site was $15 for primitive camping but included a water spigot as well as port-o-potties. There were also fire rings at each camping site.

We stayed here during Halloween and it was pretty crowded. We…

Beautiful peaceful place

Very peaceful place on the Tombigbee River. We enjoyed our stay so much. The campground is so clean. The bathhouses are very nice and well maintained. Perfect spot to put a boat in. The volunteers are helpful. Easy to get in and out of the campground. The spot we stayed on was a pull through on…

So Peaceful!!

Our first camping trip. This was the perfect spot. Small campground with big spots. Lots of pull through spots right on the river. So quiet. Nice bathhouses. Will definitely be back. Very nice volunteers.

So peaceful. A hidden gem!

This COE park is located right on the banks of the Tombigbee waterway where you can sit and watch the barges take their goods up or down the river. The Park Ranger and camp host were very friendly and welcoming. We chose site 13 which was right on the river. Most of the sites were available mid…

Cheap camping

Good campsites with lots of trails and hiking. Very nice open field and playground. Very well kept and maintained. There is a river with a beach and a swimming area. You can rent canoes. Only downsides are you have to go through some pretty shady areas to get there. They also do not allow…
