Unsanitary water connection

The water connection for the fresh water is about an inch away from the sewer dump and is at the same level. Sewer contamination is probably very high. Would not hook my water to this no matter what.

Camp in the Piñon and Cedars

Stayed only one night on our way west. Beautiful location, stay in the tent (primitive) side for more privacy and quiet. The address is 22 Calvary Cedar Crest, NM. We used the coordinates in Dyrt and pulled onto Cooper Road. Don’t do that!

Staying by the river

Coronado Campground in Bernalillo has a great location. Easily accessed from I25 but not so close as to be bothered by freeway noise. Right on the Rio Grande. Next door to Bosque Brewery, so good food and brews are at hand. Adobe shelters over the picnic tables at each site keep you from getting…

Relaxing weekend getaway

Came recommended by a friend. Beautiful secluded spot in the Manzanos. Nice kid-friendly trails adjacent to the campground. We had a nice shady site, some others seemed more exposed.

Nice out of the way place

We stayed 2 nights there when nothing around was available. When I called the young lady was very helpful getting us a spot. The sites are tight and are terraced up a hill. Nice dog park. We were thankful to get a spot at a busy time.

No showers or bathrooms

They can blame COVID all they want, but to not have showers and bathrooms available is totally unacceptable! I made a reservation several months ago expecting “resort” accommodations. They didn’t think to mention the showers and bathrooms were closed. And I didn’t receive and update. However- they…

Great spot for a stop over

We stayed here for a couple days while on a longer trip. Good spots this place is HUGE lots and lots of pull through spots. They have a locked gate at the front which is a good thing since central street can be a little iffy with night life after dark. Very quite for being right next to I40 quite…

Lovely retreat in downtown Albuquerque

We've been full-timing for four years, and this was my first KOA stay. We were hesitant about the destination, since it was located in such a densely populated part of town. However the campground was clean, secure, the staff and other campers were friendly and courteous. Some of the facilities,…

Serviceable RV Park with clean bathrooms

The campground was pretty much a large parking lot, with rows of RVs. Our reservation said we would have a fire ring or grill but were told the one nearby was just for tent campers. There was a communal propane grill, and propane available for purchase, but the store was already closed when we…

Nice dispersed camping

A nice place to disperse camp vault toilets, the campground is at approximately 8000 ft. I observed elk crossing my campsite. A very nice place to camp in the summer to escape the heat. Near the town of Corona.

Quiet stay off of I-40

We are full timers and love it here. Staff is always friendly and helpful, and keep everything neat and tidy. New bathrooms down by the office, and quiet life and very peaceful place!

Nice location

This is not the state park campground. This is the NFS campground in beautiful setting. No reservation required. Right next to trailheads. Great Mountain biking on forest roads that link canyons. Toilets but no water so come prepared.

Nice clean park with easy access

We needed a place to clean up before heading to Chaco Canyon for a few days. This place filled the bill nicely. The park was clean and the staff friendly and helpful.

But the best part is there is a brewery you can walk to from the campground. They serve organic pizza and cold beer. What more do…

Clean, secluded USFS campground

Gem of a USFS campground in the Cibola National Forest near Corona, NM. Can get crowded on weekends and most especially during Fall hunting season.

Note that directions from Maps/Dyrt tries to send you the wrong way off County Rd 22, so follow the brown signs to the campground and you can’t miss…
