Great off-grid get away!

First off, you will be completely off-grid. There is no cell reception, WiFi, or cable or antenna tv. There is also no dump station or fill station, so plan on making a stop at the loves truck stop. Limited electric/water hookup sites so be sure to reserve ahead of time. No fires allowed and boat…

Nice place super noisy

Little confusing to find location, but finally got to our spot and got settled. Many little boys showing off their loud trucks. Too bad!

Nice lake and nice facilities but super noisy. Electric and water at our site in Zia loop. Good price. Dump station available. Good cell service for both…

Beaver cove

I stayed in Beaver Cove. There are 4 campsites with a vault toilet, and a water spiket. Each site has a cement picnic table under a shelter. The ground is pebbles. A good spot for one night

Make reservations

New mexico state parks nearly all online reservations now. Funny I had no printed copy and nobody checked me. Pretty area in the middle of open prairie. Well spaced non electric sites but it can be a long walk to toilets.

Nice quiet, open park and campgrounds near the lake

There are several separate CGs at Ute Lake. We stayed in Logan CG site 23, which was nearly perfectly level, for 5 days. There is no dump station at the Logan CG, the only dump station is near the main office, several miles back down the road. The restrooms were closed while we were here- not sure…

Always love camping near water

Only stayed one night, passing through. A lot of spots for day use, with great views of lake. Dinosaur tracks a total bonus. Worth the stop. Fun finding this marker. (photo)

Meh

Was just a place to stop for the night. The sites are nice and roomy. I like how most were pull through. It was a little confusing to find our site. Most of the facilities were locked up.

Missing bath house

Made reservations for Ute Lake State Park arrived minutes after the office closed. Not a problem since I had our site number. As evening progressed we wanted to use the facilities and take a shower. They were locked with no sign of opening. There were pit toilets near our site so not a problem.…

Pretty neat

Great spot to camp en route on your road trip. Pretty sunsets and scenery. Basic. Looked like probably good fishing. Not sure about hiking and we didn’t visit the dinosaur tracks unfortunately.

Nice quiet and dark

A one day stop for us. Sites are nice and all pretty close to a man made lake. Stocked with fish and a really amazing set of dinosaur tracks you can hike to. Facilities are a little dated. Bathroom could use an overhaul but it’s not a very big or busy campground.

Such a gem!

We stayed one night on the way to Colorado and this is such a great place to camp. We had primitive site C4 which provided Mr 8 with boundless adventures scrambling in the rocks. The dinosaur tracks were also a bit hit.

Showers & toilets were clean albeit a bit dated.

The lake is a big…

Nice RV & Boating Park

This is a great park if you have an RV; otherwise, regular camping might be a bit rough as the grounds are very prickly. There are stickers galore and not truly pet friendly, even though you can bring them. The lake is nice; however, they need more docking sites. This park is packed during the…

Dated but has everything that you need

There are very few developed sites for RV campers, but there are plenty of primitive sites. The restrooms and showers are dated, but the do everything that you need. The dinosaur tracks are a true bonus and the information that they have posted with the tracks are very informative. The park ranger…
