Best RV Parks & Resorts near Loganville, WI

Several RV campgrounds dot the rural landscape near Loganville, Wisconsin. Fox Hill RV Park in Baraboo accommodates larger motorhomes with full hookup sites including 50-amp service, operating from late April through mid-October. Country Roads Motorhome & RV Park provides exclusively drive-through sites with full hookups for motorhomes, while Yukon Trails Camping Resort in Lyndon Station offers water and electric connections with a centralized dump station. Ho-Chunk RV Resort & Campground remains open year-round with sewer and water hookups in a more secluded setting. Sites at most parks feature level gravel pads with adequate spacing for slides and awnings. "Our site was easy to level with a gravel pull-thru. We travel towing a 14 foot trailer and were able to fit both in our pull through site."

Across the Wisconsin Dells area, campgrounds cater to varying preferences with mixed amenities and pricing structures. Navigating to some parks requires attention to bridge clearances and narrow rural roads. Reliable cell service exists throughout most developed campgrounds, though signal strength varies by carrier. Many parks close for winter between mid-October and mid-April, with early spring reservations recommended due to limited availability. Pet policies generally allow leashed dogs with designated exercise areas at larger facilities. A review mentioned, "We were situated on the upper ridge of the campground, furthest from the office/camp store and swimming pool." Dump stations are available at most parks for a nominal fee, even for non-guests, and on-site LP refill services can be found at select locations.

    Lantern DeForest

    Cute campground - near Madison

We were in Site# B1. We had Full hook- up with a gravel pull-thru. We travel towing a 14 foot trailer and were able to fit both in our pull through site. My jeep though did not fit. The site was easy to level.

Our site was shaded with lots of trees. This was a larger sized lot with our neighbors not too close (but we did choose a premium site with a patio and paid extra to be on the end).

This specific lot comes with a concrete patio The lot comes with a picnic table and fire hole in the ground.

They have a community Outdoor kitchen-y area with picnic tables.
They do not provide garbage service at your site so you must walk to garbage dumpster.

You are allowed to ride personal golf carts. There is really not a need to have a Golf cart because it is a smaller campground.

They do have a Swimming pool.
There is a Playground. They also offer horseshoes and a volleyball court.

They have a great general store.

The streets are gravel so not great for riding bikes but there are great places to ride bikes outside of campground, especially around Middleton and Madison.

They have cabins for rent and tent areas.

They have one shower house. The shower house has the typical stalls. These are kept mostly clean.

There is a laundry facility. It is a cash only facility, but they have a change machine.

They have a fenced in dog park and many grassy areas to walk dogs.

There were no trails to hike in the campground.

Some fun things to do outside of the campground are the Saturday Farmer’s Market in Madison and multitude of bike trails.

    Christmas Mountain Village Campground

Christmas in Summer but I think I will skip the WInter.

This is a member resort but they do allow the public in.  We went in as Coast to Coast members.  This is an all season resort it does have a ski hill and accommodations for winter.  You can buy a condo resort, Lease a Time Share, buy a camping site ( with a Park Model on it,  Camp in a Motor Home, Trailer or Tent.  You can camp with full hook ups or as they call it the Wilderness Camping, they have some with 110 hook ups.

Facilities are very nice and clean, Swimming Pool, Club House with a lot of things to do. The sites are nice and big most are either pull through or large back in sites.  They also have an 18 holes golf course, since we don't golf really don't know how it is.

They have some WIFi but it is best at the club house the hotspots worked better.

If you would like to  visit Wisconsin Dells this is a great place as it is not very far from downtown and all the activities.  We spent 2 days exploring the Dells even in rain.  Had a great time.

If you are in the area I would check it out.

    Fireside Campground

    Quiet and friendly RV camping

This is a RV campground, with both seasonal and weekend sites. Coin laundry and shower room with 4 showers. They have nice level site in a grassy and sandy area, with enough tree coverage for shade but not so much you’re freaking out parking your camper. Big rig friendly. Decent wi-fi and plenty of space on your site. Dog friendly. They have a big playground for kids, and activities. For us, this was a great place for us to easily set up our camper and use it as a base camp for hiking at Governor Dodge, visiting House in the Rock, and tubing on the Pine River. The staff here was super helpful and friendly, and the seasonal campers were all nice and chatty. We have camped at another RV campground in Spring Green that has a party vibe, and this was a more relaxed atmosphere. We will definitely come here again!!

Fox Hill RV Park & Campground

Good mix of rv and nature

We visited for opening weekend during COVID-19, so the park was quiet but open. The staff and owners here were very friendly and extremely helpful when we ran into some snags with setting up camp. We were able to check in online and drive right to our campsite, to get our enjoyment started right away. Our spot, F-2, was right across from the playground and great for my kiddo. Only neighbors to the sides and woods behind. This park has some nature trails, disc golf, and a good size dog run. It’s well kept and maintained. All site are pretty level with gravel pad and logically positioned utilities. The tent loop is more remote, but not a far walk from the park and pool. Pool wasn’t open yet this early in season. We enjoyed our peaceful stay and even booked for Memorial Day weekend as other campgrounds are closed and cancelling reservations. We are happy to have our social distanced camping experience and we’re very happy with Fox Hill. Can’t wait to come back when summer is in full swing! Compared to other campgrounds in the Dells, the price is reasonable for full hookups. It’s also really close to Devils Lake and Mirror State Park, so a perfect spot to have excellent hiking opportunities nearby and be able to quickly access all the yahoo craziness of the Dells area if you need an Olde Time Photo or a water skiing show. If you golf, there’s a 9 hole course next door that is easy to walk to.

    Blue Mound State Park Campground

Great state park with a pool!

We love this state park for family camping. The sites for RVs have electrical, but no water. The bathrooms are OK, its what you expect from a state park. But the hiking around the park is amazing. There are tons of trails, and 2 wooden observation towers to climb so you can see all the way to Madison on a clear day! If it's a hot summer day, enjoy the swimming pool or head over to Cave of the Mounds where it's always cool. There's also a biking camp ground right off the Ice Age Trail, which makes it a great stop for an overnight or just a break. You're also close enough to drive to Mt. Horeb if you need more action or beer.

We've always enjoyed this campground because the overnight camping are has fewer sites, and therefore less crowded. It's a nice shaded area with some tight spots. If you are in a tent, some even have gravel pads for a level area that drains well. For RVs, be sure to select a bigger site than you think you need. Sometime's it's tricky to maneuver your camper so big rigs may want to stay elsewhere. Our 30 ft. travel trailer fit fine, with some skilled driving. Lots of trees for shade or hammocks, and bigger fields and picnic areas if you need some space to play frisbee.

    Wisconsin Dells KOA

Close to the Dells action but jam packed in summer

Camping the in Wisconsin Dells area is always a challenge because there are such big crowds in the summer heading to the waterparks. If you are looking to stay in your camper while enjoying the Wisconsin Dells tourism, this KOA is fine. The lots are very small, but overall paved and level so you will have a quick set up. You are on top of your neighbor and your fire pit is close (too close) to all your stuff. There is a pool, but is was crazy crowded with obnoxious campers. If you have a camper (travel trailer, motorhome, pop-up) you should have everything you need for an in-town stay at the Dells. If you're in a tent, I wouldn't chose this campground and would stay further away from the main strip.

Ice Age Campground — Devils Lake State Park

    Winter Beauty Beyond

We’ve been here multiple times but winter is truly our favorite, ice fishing, snowshoeing etc. The state park is busy in summer but not much in winter.. tons of opportunities in warmer weather which equates to the popularity. The views are fantastic and it’s family friendly. Camping was quiet and you can camp by the lake or further from the lake in the woods. Worthy of multiple returns.

    McKeller City Park

    Nice city park

Our original overnight camping spot did not work out so we ended up here. A good quiet stay with 30amp service and shaded level sites with mature maple trees. These are back in sites that look like pull through except the other half is another site you share with another camper (backends in fashion). Still reasonable private. Enjoyed our stay

What campers like

Recreational facilities: Wisconsin camping resorts offer various on-site activities beyond standard amenities. One camper at Arrowhead RV Campground enjoyed "outdoor movies, put-put, corn hole, two pools, huge trampoline, volleyball nets, disc golf, and a Christmas in July festival." Another noted, "Great main Lodge, good size sites but bring extension cords for electrical hook ups.... Odd outlet placement."

Site selection factors: Campground layouts vary significantly in the region. A Fox Hill RV Park visitor explained, "We chose to get a smaller campsite with just W/E because there are trees and shade, and it just feels a little more like camping. Also have spots for hanging hammocks, and some sites are positioned well for groups." Another noted, "We stayed in site #4 it was nice sized and quiet. We had full hook up, a picnic table & fire pit."

What you should know

Seasonal closures: Most campgrounds near Loganville operate seasonally. Fox Hill runs "from Apr 24 - Oct 12" while Arrowhead RV Campground operates from "mid April to mid October." Country Roads Motorhome & RV Park maintains a similar schedule of "Apr 15 - Oct 7." Plan accordingly as availability becomes limited during shoulder seasons.

Noise considerations: Some campgrounds experience noise from nearby attractions. One Arrowhead visitor noted, "There is a dirt track with racing just adjacent to the campground, so our poor guy was pretty nervous the whole time. The race ended at 11 and we had no problem sleeping, but it is something to keep in mind." Another mentioned, "don't forget the racetrack across the way has races Saturday night."

Bathroom facilities: Shower and bathroom quality varies between properties. A Fox Hill camper reported, "Despite the very crowded campground, the bathrooms were immaculate. Even the Men's room was super clean. They have 3 indoor showers in each gender bathroom, and a couple of outdoor shower stalls." At Nature's Touch, a visitor found "The bathhouse was clean at night but not in the morning. No tokens needs for the shower."

Tips for camping with families

Swimming options: Baraboo RV Resort offers unique water features for children. One visitor shared, "The pond had lots of great inflatables for the kids to climb on, and even the adults enjoyed them. The sand was clean with plenty of lounge chairs. Not much shade at the beach, bring your own." Another noted, "They have a fun swim hole with inflatables for the kids to play on."

Playground proximity: Request sites near play areas when traveling with children. An Arrowhead camper mentioned, "Our spot, F-2, was right across from the playground and great for my kiddo. Only neighbors to the sides and woods behind." Campgrounds often have designated family-friendly sections with easier bathroom access.

Game facilities: Many campgrounds feature both indoor and outdoor game options. A Nature's Touch visitor noted, "Several retro games plus billiards in the game room. Quarter operated." Fox Hill offers "well kept large outdoor games like chess, connect 4, and checkers" with "a playground with a basketball court and tennis and still plenty of space to play your own game, like frisbee."

Tips from RVers

Site leveling challenges: Some campgrounds require significant leveling equipment. A Fox Hill camper observed, "Our site was very unlevel side to side. It took two 2x6 and a 1x6 under the camp side to be level. That made the first step into the coach, and last step out of the coach extremely high off the ground." At Ho-Chunk RV Resort & Campground, a year-round option, water quality may be concerning as one camper advised to "make sure to use a water filter outside your camper. The water left an orange residue in our dog bowls, sinks and pipes."

Electrical setup: Extension cords are essential at several RV parks near Loganville. An Arrowhead visitor advised, "Make sure you bring 50 ft of electrical cord and water hose. They do offer to barrow their extension cords." Another camper similarly noted, "Bring extension cords for electrical hook ups.... Odd outlet placement."

Site selection: Open versus wooded sites offer different experiences. A Fox Hill camper explained, "The new section will be a lot better next year, but just finished construction and it is still a wide open area. It was dusty and hot because the grass isn't gown in yet, there's still a ton of sand, and no trees." When booking, inquire about mature versus newly developed sections based on your shade preferences.
