Great place

Very nicely kept facilities with beautiful flower beds. Each site has full hookups. Open space but not a parking lot.

Small, safe, friendly feel

There was only one site available when i was looking for a site (looking in June for August trip). Coming to the campground, i saw that at least 2 sites were unoccupied, so people didn’t show up. I would recommend if they sent a reminder email because people do forget, especially when booking…

Terrible

Drunk Squatter raising hell all hours of the day and night. Invades your campgrounds. Don't engage if you want any privacy at all. People burning fires during a burn ban.. fire department seemed not to care.. County refuses to do anything. Homeless guy in maroon van fighting with others over…

What an experience!

Jim creek military campground is beautiful. Scenic views, tons of amenities, spacious RV spaces, very clean, and friendly staff. Great place for families! Boating, kayaking, and hiking on site. Tent, RV, and cabins available.

Hiker/Biker sites are very compact and close together

There are 3 hiker/biker sites at Manchester, but it's better to think of it as one merged, very forested site with three tables and tent areas. Zero privacy between the sites. Site HB1 has the largest open area for tents and socializing, while HB3 has the smallest area, for just a single tent and…

Good spot to relax

Nice little campground with most sites fairly private. Water pump was not in order for pur visit but not a big deal. Good hiking in the area and road in was in good shape. That made for easy access to other nearby rec areas. No good creek access from in the campground but the icy waters were…

Very difficult but rewarding

Amazing place to visit. Be prepared for a difficult climb. Well worth the effort however!

Tall Chief

We really enjoyed our stay here it was very quiet and peaceful sites were long and roomy with a fire ring and picnic table. Good cell service with AT&T and Sprint. The pool was closed and no hot tub decent club house with a pool table. We did not use the laundry but it looked fine. Our site was…

No Privacy, but Convenient

This was the first stop on a trip to the Olympic Peninsula. Glad we were only here one night. It was kind of spendy and didn't offer any privacy. Was with a friend who set up a tent and she was just out in a field behind my van fully exposed.

There was a nice walk down to the river and beach.…

Typical Washington State Park Campground

Stopped here on a bicycle tour. It's nice that they have a hiker/biker section. The price was $6 (as opposed to $5 in Oregon), and showers cost extra (they are free in Oregon). That part was disappointing for a budgeting traveler.

Otherwise, campground was clean and well-maintained. Staff was…

Crowded and close together

Campsites are super close together, not much privacy. We easily overheard our neighbors conversations and cars were driving by campsite frequently in the evening. Also, the water is pretty much blocked by the RV sites. The ground was mostly rock so getting tent pegs in the ground was difficult.

Great state park

We car camped with our three kids for a few nights. It was like most state parks, so not super private or remote - but it was a good state park. The tend sites are wooded and private. Showers were cold. We walked down to the beach to clam for dinner, which was a neat experience for the kids.

Fantastic and very spacious

This camp ground had a lot spaces available all with the usual hookups. Felt safe the whole night. This camp ground is also well lit.
