Best Dog-Friendly Camping near Kanarraville, UT

Red Ledge RV Park in Kanarraville allows pets at its compact facility with tent sites, RV hookups, and cabins. Located directly on Main Street, this park provides clean facilities including showers, a laundry room, and communal patios for guest use. The park is only a half-mile from the Kanarraville Falls trailhead, making it convenient for hikers with dogs. The small grassy area accommodates approximately 4-5 tents among the RV spaces. Sites lack privacy between neighbors, as the campground primarily serves RV travelers with a significant number of full-time residents.

Pyramid Ridge Campground, 15 minutes from Kanarraville, offers pet-friendly sites with fire rings and concrete picnic tables. Dogs can explore nearby trail systems rated from easy to difficult, suitable for both hiking and mountain biking directly from the campground. The campground provides vault toilets but no water hookups or electric service. Despite being relatively close to Interstate 15, the surrounding trees and mountains create a peaceful atmosphere with only minimal highway noise. The $12 nightly fee (plus $8 reservation fee) makes this BLM campground significantly more affordable than the $60+ RV parks in Cedar City, though spaces for vehicles over 22 feet are limited.

St. George RV Park & Campground

St. George RV Park & Campground, UT

Located right off the highway, this a great place to stay for one night or for longer periods. There seemed to be several full-timers living in the campground. You can hear the highway when you sleep, so try to request a site furthest from the road. The bathrooms were clean and the staff was welcoming and accommodating. There was not a dog park or any grassy areas that allowed pets which was a challenge.

    Mammoth Creek RV Resort

Spacious, Grassy, two sided dog park. Breed Inclusive!

This is a Great place! I love that they are pet friendly and not breed restrictive. I have a pit mix (who's just a big ole teddy bear) and you know how that can often make travel and lodging difficult.  I love that he is welcome here. They have a big grassy dog park for him to run and play in, he loves running in the sprinklers! Its two sided and completely fenced in so large and small breeds can have their own safe space to play in. I really appreciate the picnic benches to sit on for the parents. For me this is a huge benefit and I recommend this park for any pet owner!

    Crazy Horse RV Resort

The Perfect 10-Day Stay at Crazy Horse RV Resort!

I recently stayed at Crazy Horse RV Resort in Kanab, UT for 10 days and had an absolute blast! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel right at home—they were welcoming, helpful, and always had a smile on their faces. The resort itself is loaded with amenities that made our stay so enjoyable. The pool was the perfect temperature—so refreshing after a long day of exploring the trails nearby. Our pets stayed free(a huge bonus!), and the dog park was fantastic. Having the dog wash station right there was such a lifesaver after dusty hikes—it made traveling with our pups stress-free. There’s never a dull moment around Crazy Horse. The resort is close to so many incredible attractions—like the Sand Caves, Belly of the Dragon, Coral Pink Sand Dunes, and of course Zion National Park. It was the perfect hub for adventure, but also a relaxing place to come back to at the end of the day. Between the friendly staff, the clean and well-maintained facilities, and the unbeatable location, this was easily one of the best RV resorts we’ve ever stayed at. We’re already planning our next trip back!

    Snow Canyon State Park Campground

    Disappointed

This is a wonderful campground. The sites are well designed and some are really special. The reason I gave it only three stars has to do with pets. Dogs are not allowed on any hiking trails. They are allowed, however, on the paved bicycle trail which felt dangerous for both dogs and bicyclists. My 17 year old cat is a well seasoned camper. He free ranges around where he feels comfortable and always knows where home lies. The Camp Ranger ordered my cat to be leashed. That was a first in four months of camping and I knew it would not go well. We were going to stay for one week but left after only one night. Disappointed.

    Cedar Breaks RV Park

    Near MTB Riding

We stayed here to get in some MTB riding.  The park is conveniently located whether you want to ride the East or West side/s of Cedar City.  The park is clean, mostly level, and has a nice dog park.  Our site was near the entrance, which meant we were close to Main St and quite a bit of traffic noise.  Next time, I'd look for a place more towards the back of the park.

Cedar City RV Resort by Rjourney

    Great for family RV trip

We booked Cedar City KOA as our first trip to a KOA. The park is on the edge of town but close to anything you might want or need. Our site was directly across from the playground and 50 steps from the off-leash dog park. Both the kids and the dog greatly appreciated both. Unfortunately, some campers struggle with quiet hours and allowed their kids to scream and play in the playground until as late as 1am. The second night of our stay the kids were back after 1ppm, but the staff swooped in and gently moved them along. Speaking of the staff, they were friendly, attentive, and professional 100% of the time. The grounds were well maintained and clean and the campground full of friendly faces.
