Red Ledge RV Park in Kanarraville offers pet-friendly cabins with electric hookups and picnic tables, while Cedar Canyon Retreat RV Park and Campground in nearby Cedar City features cabin accommodations with basic utilities. Most cabins include air conditioning units, adequate lighting through multiple windows, and comfortable sleeping arrangements. At Zion River Resort, cabins come equipped with queen beds and bunk beds, with sheets provided for the main bed. "The back bunk beds were super cozy and we enjoyed a bed after being in a tent for the previous week," notes one visitor. Bathrooms and showers are typically located near the cabins, with some properties offering private facilities directly in front of the units.

Rustic cabins and more deluxe options are available throughout the region, with prices ranging from approximately $45 to $89 per night depending on season and amenities. Fire rings and picnic tables are standard at most cabin sites, allowing for outdoor meal preparation, though fire restrictions may apply during dry periods.

    Zion River Resort

    Cabin review

Check in was fast and smooth. Got the key and remote for the tv then head to the cabin that was around the way from the office/pool area. Sheets was provided for the queen bed but not the bunk beds. Which was fine because we were ready with our own sheets. Rest room and shower was right in front of our cabin, so we didn’t have to walk far. Good ac unit and lighting the with number of windows they got. Overall a great experience from our 1 night stay.

South Campground — Zion National Park

    Great campground

This campground is great for exploring Zion National Park. Each campsite has a fire pit and picnic table. There are restrooms with running water and electricity. Only a short walk from a shuttle station and Visitor’s Center. We also had deer around our campsite every morning and evening.

Water Canyon Cliffside Cabin L and L

Stunning views of the Canaan Mountains

I'm a team member at The Dyrt kicking off the review section with some info from the campground's website.

Water Canyon Cliffside offers a secluded wilderness experience. Each tent site has space for parking, a fire pit, and picnic table. They also have a mini cabin and a canvas tent available to stay in!

There are hiking trails within walking distance, mountain biking trails nearby, and Zion National Park is only an hour drive away!

    Zion RV and Campground (Hi-Road)

    Hi-Road Campground (Zion)

Great campsite right down the road from Zion. Only about $45/night and you get clean nice showers and clean bathrooms. There’s free WiFi, laundry facilities, and a game room. Also a nice little restaurant within walking distance (right across the street). Several campsites to choose from - we picked a more secluded one (although it was very close to other sites and near the highway). Picnic tables, table, grill and fire rings at most sites. Access to showers and bathrooms and other amenities 24/7. Great place to stay and they say they always have spots open for last minute check-ins. Will definitely go back in the future and highly recommend!

South Campground — Zion National Park

    Book ahead of time!

This is by far on of my favorite National Parks. The campground is fairly large (100 + spots) but very hard to secure a spot, make sure to book ahead of time! Zion has some rules about booking ahead so check the website to know when to make a booking. We managed to get a spot last minute but it was a walk in spot. These are a problem if you have a lot of stuff but you can avoid some crowds with them. The views right from the campground are incredible and the rest of the park is overwhelmingly fun.

The campground has plenty of vault toilets, picnic tables, water and trash bins. There are other campgrounds in the park as well as outside if this is full. Caution that the grounds outside the park can be pricey and are nothing special.

    Zion River Resort

    Wonderful Camping Experience!

We camped in one of the cabins for the first night because there was no availability for the campground sites. It was entirely worth the money! The back bunk beds were super cozy & we enjoyed a bed after being in a tent for the precious week. The campground site the next night was wonderful as far as campgrounds go. The ground was level & covered with fine gravel. The sites are not very big & you’re right up next to other campers; but it’s all you need when you spend the majority of the day out in Zion & just come back to eat dinner & sleep. The electricity was nice to have for charging laptops to import/edit photos of the day’s adventures. The showers were a real treat because they were included with the campground. The bathrooms were in the same room as the showers & there were only two rooms, so if two people were showering, you’d be out of luck for using the restroom anytime soon. Other than that, everything was a such a positive experience. There was free coffee in the main building & also a little shop for anything you may have forgotten—the nearest store is about 20 minutes away. All in all, this place is amazing & I would highly recommend.

    Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort

    Zion Ponderosa Resort

Lovely tent campsite with a picnic table and fire ring. Excellent shower room and restroom with laundry. Full service resort including restaurant on grounds. No cell signal but decent WiFi EXCEPT in the campground. There were many sites for RV’s, vans, and tents. They had full hooks available. Lots of room between sites. I enjoyed my stay.

Guide to Kanarraville

Cabin accommodations near Kanarraville, Utah provide convenient access to both Zion National Park and Cedar Breaks National Monument. Located at 5,500 feet elevation, Kanarraville experiences warm summer days with temperatures reaching the 90s and cool nights dropping into the 50s. Winter cabin rentals offer proximity to outdoor recreation with temperatures averaging 30-40°F during daytime hours.

What to do

Hike slot canyons: The Kanarra Falls trail begins just one mile from Red Ledge RV Park, making their cabins ideal for hikers. "This campground is perfectly located in Kanarraville, UT. Start with Kanarra Falls, an off the radar slot canyon which is just one mile away," notes one visitor.

Explore Virgin River: Riverside cabin accommodations allow for easy water access. At Zion River Resort, cabins offer proximity to the river. "There is a nearby river, and we took the dogs down to explore with us a few times during our stay. Apparently they have a schedule of activities available," mentions a guest who enjoyed the accessible water features.

Visit multiple parks: Cabin rentals near Kanarraville serve as a central base for park exploration. "Red Ledge RV Park is perfectly located between Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks. And, Cedar Breaks is just a few miles away," explains a reviewer highlighting the strategic location for park visits.

What campers like

Clean bathroom facilities: Cabin guests appreciate well-maintained restrooms at Cedar Canyon Retreat RV Park and Campground. "The restroom/showers were extremely clean. It seemed they were cleaned several times a day. Each time we would use one, the toilet would be spotless," reports one visitor who valued the sanitation standards.

River access: Cabins with waterfront locations offer natural cooling opportunities. "The cool Virgin River behind our site was a nice place to soak our tired feet and enjoy a beverage after hiking in Zion," shares a Zion River Resort guest who utilized the riverside location.

Swimming amenities: Many cabin properties include pools for post-hiking relaxation. "Nice heated pool area with hot tub. Some areas have nice shade trees and grass areas," mentions a reviewer at Zion River Resort, highlighting additional recreational facilities beyond basic cabin amenities.

What you should know

Noise considerations: Some cabin sites experience road noise due to proximity to highways. At Cedar Canyon Retreat RV Park and Campground, "It is right off of Highway 14 and can be noisy, however we didn't have any issues sleeping," reports a camper who stayed for five nights.

Seasonal water conditions: River access points may have seasonal water quality issues. "On our recent trip (late Feb 2021) the river also had some kind of bad algae and you were warned to keep all pets, etc. out of the water," notes a Zion River Resort visitor highlighting changing water conditions.

Connectivity limitations: Wi-Fi and cell service vary significantly between properties. At Zion River Resort, one camper reported: "There is virtually no cell signal in Virgin. Certainly not enough to even begin to create a hot spot. There is wifi (and we even had a booster on our site)...but there was still terribly connectivity."

Tips for camping with families

Consider glamping options: For families seeking enhanced comfort, Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort offers elevated cabin experiences. "We finished out our Spring Break Outdoor recreation trip by glamping in one of the canvas tents at Ponderosa. I'd never been so excited to sleep in a bed. We slept with 5 people in each tent," reports a family who appreciated the upgrade from ground sleeping.

Look for pool access: Swimming facilities provide crucial entertainment for children. "We spent a good amount of time in the hot tub and pool which we had all to ourselves," notes a Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort visitor who valued the water recreation options after hiking.

Seek out activity centers: Properties with multiple recreation options keep children engaged. "The recreation room is fantastic for antsy teens! The on-site restaurant was tasty and a nice option if you don't feel like cooking yourself," mentions a family staying in Zion Ponderosa's "Cowboy Cabins" who appreciated the entertainment options.

Tips from RVers

Consider park location carefully: Sites near entrances may experience more traffic noise. At Cedar Breaks RV Park, a camper noted: "Our site was near the entrance, which meant we were close to Main St and quite a bit of traffic noise. Next time, I'd look for a place more towards the back of the park."

Check site leveling before booking: Some properties require significant leveling adjustments. "The Rv sites are crazy unlevel. We had to raise one side 6 inches to get sorta level," reports an RVer at St. George/Hurricane KOA Journey who struggled with the terrain.

Verify amenity accuracy: Listed amenities may not always function as advertised. "The pool was listed as heated but it's not. It hasn't been heated since we got here," mentions a St. George/Hurricane KOA Journey visitor, highlighting the importance of confirming facility status before booking cabin or RV accommodations near Kanarraville.
