Best Dog-Friendly Camping near Talbott, TN

 Greenbriar campground is located in Pittman Center, west of Gatlinburg, adjacent to the Great Smoky Mountains. The campground is certainly one of the nicest camping spots I’ve n the area. The campground is very large, and has multiple camping options. They have tent and rv spots, as well as cabins, but I also saw some teepee style tent cabins. The campground is very wooded, so you feel like you are getting a legitimate Smoky Mountain camping experience. The pigeon river runs through the campground, and is great for fishing, or swimming/tubing in summer. There is a dog park also, and the campground is pet friendly. This campground has so many things to do, and it is very popular, so if you want to camp here, I would suggest booking early, because spots are booked months in advance. The campground is very quiet at night, with just the sounds of nature. There is a camp store, with firewood, and you’ll want to enjoy a campfire, even in the middle of summer. I Highly recommend Greenbriar Campground for camping in the Smokies.

Everything is new. We stayed by the dog park and it was convenient. We missed the lazy river due to them closing it for landscaping. However the circle of the lazy river appeared small. They also opened a deli by the fishing pond.

We stayed here one night passing through to our next destination. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Had a pull through site. Sites were a little close, but it was to be expected being a travel stop for most.
They had a playground, horseshoes, cornhole, volleyball, and a dog park. They also had laundry, and a nice little game room.
Bathhouses were super clean.
There was a Mexican restaurant and a Shoneys witching walking distance, however the Mexican is closed on Sundays.

This place was amazing! Other than the keys this is my second favorite. They have a lot of amenities such as and arcade, playground, dog park, laundry room, camp store. We came from Florida to see the fall leaves. Our 35 ft RV was right on the stream. The ducks flew in and out all day. It really was beautiful! Everyone was super friendly. The staff was great about guiding guest into their spot. I will definitely be returning to the campground!

This campground is now named Pigeon Forge RV park. Everything looks brand new. Very nice facilities and campground. Onsite laundry, showers, heater saltwater pool with slide, dog park, store, pizza place, daily trash pickup, very stable wifi you can stream with. Spots are a little tight to back into, but the staff will help you get backed in if needed. Very friendly people. Highly recommend if your traveling to the Pigeon Forge area. Only a few minute drive off the main strip of Pigeon Forge

Camp Riverslanding along the the Little Pigeon River is small, but has great appeal. Located right by Parkway, it has easy access to plenty of things to do. The bathrooms are outstanding, located in the same building as the laundry, there are several private bathroom/shower rooms, decorated nice and very clean. Garbage is picked up at your camp site every day. There is a pool, bounce pad, game room, and dog park. Our campsite located right on the river, had full hookups, a fire pit, a picnic table, and the ability to fish or tube along the river.

Beautiful location on the creek. It's near everything in Pigeon Forge but feels much more secluded. The thing that makes this campground stand out are the ducks. There are ducks everywhere. They will walk right up to your camper door and wait for you. They will eat out of your hand as well. Amenities include dog park, swimming pool, game room, and lazy river. There were alot of of renovations going on here when we went (during Covid-19). The place is going to look amazing when completed. One problem with this place is that it seems to have too much gravel and not enough grass. Alot of campsites don't have any grass at all. There are some dog bag stations throughout. Some pot holes too. I would suggest some repaving next.

We picked this stop because it was a halfway point from our trip in Georgia to home in Ohio and it was easy off and on 75. It’s a small campground with only 37 rv sites, a primitive camping section and several small cabins. They offer a pool, dog park, laundry and game room.

It’s very clean and the staff was nice. We got here after hours and they had everything we needed at the check in with our names, site number and directions to our site. They also offer WiFi and cable tv.

There is not much to do in the park itself but it’s quite and close to town.

Hot showers, pool, pets allowed, toilets, laundry, small grocery store This is only of couple of miles off I40 in the rolling hills of Tennessee, very quiet and well maintained. Sites ae a bit close together but not on top of each other. Gravel pads, fire rings, picnic table, trash. Beautiful green space and dog walk area. Enjoy the hiking.

Greenbrier has improved their campground even more. This time we stayed in the “new” front area. The sites are bigger and water front. There’s a new bathhouse with several individual bathrooms. The dog park is near this area as well as a swimming area on the river. It’s a short walk to the office/store and all the activities they offer. It’s quiet, peaceful, close enough to Gatlinburg to get there and back easily, and has a trolley that takes you on and out of downtown. There was music one night, BINGO, another night and an Ice Cream truck and Kona Truck came through every evening. Use Google maps to look at sites for width. Some are wider than others. Wifi is great for to one who need that.

This is one heck of a family getaway spot. The River is flowing behind the park, open to Tubers (Rental from the office), great outdoor playground and pool.

The park offers guests bike rentals, tube rentals, outdoor movie nights, ice cream and fudge, and a convenient store in the main building. Firewood is available for a fee. They have a snack bar too. They have a Hay Ride that currently cannot be accommodated but hopefully will again soon (Covid).

Many of the RV Sites have water views or are located on the water. They offer cabins for rental as well.

This location had poor TMobile service but better AT&T. Streaming was limited during our stay.

They do have cable tv, 50amp power, honey wagon service, and a dog park.

We had a great time even though the water was frozen for the first 3 nights. We stayed in a deluxe cabin and I felt it was well worth it for the price. The heat did struggle to keep it warm but they had just gone through a pretty severe winter storm. They did provide us with extra linens which helped. The manager on duty, Tonya, was great. She was extremely accommodating given the circumstances. The bathhouses were working so we were able to bathe and use the restrooms throughout the trip. The campground has many amenities including an indoor pool and hot tub (unfortunately not open while we were there), a playground, a dog park, laundry facilities, a nice general store, on-site bike and golf cart rentals and a stocked trout pond out front for fishing. Our unit was a riverfront unit which was awesome. There were many River and creek front cabins present. We are planning to return in the summer to take advantage of all the amenities available including the new outdoor pool and hot tub area.

Have to say this is by far the best campground I have currently been to. Such amazing sites with stamped concrete pads, some with gas fire pits, full hookups, great landscape with golf course quality grass, peaceful and respectful neighbors. Some of the amenities include a zero entry pool, hot tub, dog park, golf simulator, fitness room, event center, kids room, covered basketball court, golf cart rentals. With many more amenities to come; they are in the middle of a 3 phase opening. This place has only been open about 1 year so its still kind of a hidden gem. The building was previously a church and I believe they still do services on Sundays. There is a coffee shop and froyo right across the road from the resort. There are also tiny homes and glamping tents available to rent. I do try to come up with some kind of negative observations every review all I can come up with is your dog must go to designated areas to use the bathroom. You cannot just let them go at your site. Understandable though because the grass is well kept. Also to prevent the spread of invasive species, you must purchase firewood from the camp store. Not even heat treated firewood is allowed. These are the only quirks I could find. I'll be coming back here every chance I get.

Stonebridge RV Resort and Campground, Maggie Valley NC. This one gets 4 ⭐️ from me. The good: this is a clean, well kept campground right in Maggie Valley. It’s close to everything. It is well run and organized. The grounds are kept very neatly. The creek at the back is beautiful and a great place for kids to play and tube from one end of the campground to the other. There is a large play area at the end that has plenty of play equipment and room to run. A dog park for off-leash play, separated for big dogs and small dogs. The whole area is clean, doggie bags conveniently located for easy clean-up. The kids can play and enjoy themselves without parents worrying about them bothering other campers. There are tons of kids but they didn’t bother a thing.

The bad: the sites are extremely close together. Extremely close. The sites (Premium Creekside) along the creek have plenty of room behind your site to enjoy your site and the creek. The pull through sites, though, are so close the sewer hookup is literally right beside the next site’s picnic table. Within inches. Don’t pick those if you plan to cook and eat outside. There are some buddy sites that would be good if you come with other campers, but I would still pick the creek side sites.

The Ugly: just the pull through sites and the sewage dump inches from the next picnic table. That’s pretty gross.

Overall, I would return. It’s a quiet (enough) campground, clean and well kept. The people who work there are nice and helpful. I just wish the sites were a little wider. It’s much nicer than other area campgrounds.

This camp ground is nothing short of luxurious! From its level concrete sites (some with massive stack stone fireplaces) to it’s bathhouses (that are nicer than my own home bathrooms, btw), they have spared no expense in creating the nicest campground possible! Basically, my only complaint is that there are almost no shade trees. Most campers who stay here have large RVs so shade isn’t necessarily an issue for them. We have a pop up camper (we were literally the only pop up there’s when we stayed-lol) and although we have air conditioning in our camper, the tent beds get pretty hot even still without some shade trees. Also, there is no restroom even close to the playground area. Thankfully we didn’t have a bathroom emergency with our toddler.

The beach area they’ve constructed on the lake is INSANE! So so nice! There’s a giant blow up slide leading into the lake. There’s a super cute and fun dog park, arcade room, very nice pool area, food truck with anything you could want to eat, and the workers are super nice. Every Saturday in October, campers decorate their site and hand out candy to the costumed campers! My kids LOVED that. We have already booked for this next October and plan to make it a tradition!
