Much to my disappointment, all tent sights are closed for the season. The RV sites are still open. When we went through 8/30/2020 there was no camp host on site. The showers and toilets are locked.
This campground is located on the south side of Washburn. It is an open meadow campground with few trees. It does have a playground and lake access but no boat ramp. This is the best in the area for large rigs.
This campground is on the north side of Washburn. This campground is more to my liking as it has all types of sites. There are open(meadow) sites as well as wooded tree sites. My favorite part is the lake access. Bring your kayaks and launch from here. Does not have a boat ramp but there are several in the area.
Beautiful area with a boat ramp and picnic tables. Also has restroom facilities
This campground is 30.00 a night. This beautiful campground is right on the edge of Lake Superior. All three campgrounds in this area are actually this one. I would not recommend this campground for anything larger than a pop up or teardrop. The sites are close together and hilly. The road to the back area where we stayed was narrow. Has vault toilets. Is extremely beautiful!!! I have attached photos and video of the campground.
Beautiful small town right on Lake Superior. You will need to take the ferry here to see the apostle islands. Incredible beauty. Reminds me of small towns in New England.

We stayed here while we dropped off our son at college for the winter term.
There is SO for you to do here. There is all your usual lake activities with added snorkeling, bird watching cruises, and star gazing cruises. We stayed in the tent only area. Loved it.
We love coming to Galveston state park. It’s peaceful and not crowded.
Beautiful area, for 10.00 you can tent camp on the beach and your pass is good for the season. The RV park is great, but camping on the beach was an awesome exercise. You can also drive on this beach.
We had an great time. Several hiking trail heads start in the campground. The AT is also just a short walk from the campgrounds. Beautiful trees and wildlife! We met a bear. Would be 5 stars except for how far it is from Gatlinburg and the main areas of the National Park
large sites right on the lake. toliets and showers were nice and clean. pets are allowed. we stayed in a primitive site but rv hook ups are available in other parks of the park, and some are right on the lake.
The campground is really beautiful. well maintained facilities. the campground is pet friendly but the park is not. you can't take your dog on any trails except 2. Those are 45 minutes and 2 hours from the campground. The only downside to this location is it is 45 minutes to Gatlinburg.
We loved sharing the site with so much wildlife. We had a bear, a doe and her fawn, and a lively family of rabbits. The facilities are clean, and there is a store and showers. Only thing I didn't like was the one way through the whole campground, but I understand the need for it. They have walk in sites for tent campers who want a more wilderness experience or for the through trail campers.
Nice campground outside Bland, VA. The road up needs a 4x4. Nice vault toilets and a hand pump water. There are 5 sites at this location.
Nice campground on the other side of the park from Cosby near the ghost town. Well maintained facilities

great location just 5 minutes away from Mt. Rushmore. free site but no fire rings. it does have toliets. There is just a parking lot with a large open area to pitch a tent. The slide is about 5 minutes on the other side of Rushmore
