We had a great time despite cold wet weather. Our site was probably one of the worst in the place but we were able to scope out others that we would prefer for our next visit. We didn’t have a view of the lake, instead we were in someone’s back yard lol. It wasn’t a big deal. The site was well…
I was a bit worried about how the rangers....some reviews were negative mainly due to the rangers. But we had a great time and rangers/ campers were nice and respectful. Wish we could have more tents/car on site.
Was able to tent fairly close to the lot. No cell service. If you bring a handsaw youll be good for firewood. Bugs were pretty bad. Awesome sunrise.
Went there this weekend. The site was clean and the pond area was very scenic. Not too rowdy neighbors which was a plus for us
Such a friendly campsite but definitely more suited to families with kids. There were a lot of family groups booked in with adjacent sites. Unfortunately we were opposite a site being used as the kitchen area by a group of 5 dads and 12-15 kids, it was very, very loud at 7am!
I did love the…

I was traveling with my daughter, we did not feel safe! There was no check in and anyone can drive through. The town around the area was very sketchy.
It was a rainy weekend and the kids still had a blast. We had the Moms due that paint and sip event for Mother’s Day and it was well planned and enjoyed! Not great cell phone service but it was great to disconnect. Highly recommend this to all looking for a family friendly location with a lot to…
tent camping experience was great untill it down poured, but was worth it, rented row boats and hung out on the lake
We had a wonderful weekend of peace and quiet. Definitely returning!
The in-park campgrounds are pretty basic and very crowded. But, getting into the state game lands around it gives you a very private area and the campsites are easily accessible by car.
This campground is one of the best we’ve ever visited as a family. We stayed there for four nights. Pickerel Point campground is on a peninsula. So you are close to the water wherever you are on the campground. The bathrooms and showers were pristine. It is hard to believe, but the showers were…
We arrived here early afternoon, which ended up being perfect timing as we could set up everything and catch sunset by the fire. The place is pretty easy to access with paved road the whole way there except for the last 1/2 mile where it is very bumpy. Some might say 4*4 but we made it just fine in…

Easy access to fishing and grocery shopping. Open sites.
I didn’t appreciate the lack of consideration due to COVID. Seemed like they went ahead and booked every spot they could. It was my first time camping so I was happy to be out but people shouldn’t be on top of each other like that. They need to rent every other site. I heard complaints about noise…
