Great views

Pulled in after a long day drive from Denver. Campground was full but site host told us there was a now show last night for a two day reservation and we could use that site - nice people. Our site has 30 amp electric and water; there is a dump station on site. Cost was $14/night. Each site has an…

Had to leave

This is a nice state park, and seems to be a favorite of the locals. The campsites on the north side are VERY close together and we had 2 or 3 local families with kids and dogs surrounding us. We went to a local hotel.

Hidden gem

This campsite is hidden just below the bathroom on the West end of the big parking lot. Most campers pitch tent in the wooded area in the center of the parking lot - this is off the west end of the parking lot. Wonderful trails and you get to camp right in the middle of an aspen grove.

El Porvenir Campground

Very well maintained campground that is remote enough to get away but close to town in case you need something. Weather was great and the surrounding trails were beautiful!

Adult only great location

Great location with immaculate grounds. Staff are friendly and other than a little road noise very peaceful.

Well kept, friendly

Well kept, neighbors were friendly, and the sound of the river was soothing. Camping spaces weren't packed together but not so far apart to be considered private. I'd happily come here again :)

Super Convenient but dusty

This place is super convenient to Santa Fe. Easy to find and plenty of spots. We opted not to camp in the “lot” where a lot of people set up. We drove back the road a bit further for some privacy. The area is very dusty. Given the proximity to town there were some campsites that had a degree…

Nice Campground with some age

I did enjoy staying in this Campground on the North end. Nice picnic tables with protection, water at each site, trash cans nearby, and vault toilets. The parking could be refreshed but the scenery is excellent. I would have preferred site 38N

Convenient to historic Santa Fe

This park had more airstreams than I have ever seen in one park. It was fun to be a part of the airstream community! The park is clean and our site was very level with convenient and very clean hook-ups. Our site was gravel and directly across from the registration building. I thought it would…

Fine for a one night stay

We tent camped and the spaces are well maintained and include a little fire pit, picnic table, place for your car, and fairly flat space for the tent. It’s easy to get to from the highway, but that’s also the downside because you can hear all of the traffic. The bathrooms were clean and have a code…

A nicer KOA

4/5/2021 Right off the highway. One of the nicer KOA's we have stayed at in the Southwest. True, the sites are close together which is typical at KOA's but this campground had lots of established trees which was nice (meaning shade). Many pull through sites. Full hookups. One of the unique things…

Kozy, Clean and Accommodating

We were hit by a blizzard driving through the I-25 pass from Santa Fe to Denver and had to take refuge in the KOA Las Vegas, NM for 2 nights. They quickly got us a space and allowed us to wait out the snow. Clean restrooms and showers, a shop in the grounds that serves breakfast. Hikes nearby. Very…

Great stop over

20 minutes from Santa Fe, super convenient, spread out enough, some good stars at night. Check our other reviews about the left turn.

Close to the Highway but you can’t tell

We stayed here twice now, as it is the perfect stop over between our vacation destinations. The staff are helpful, friendly, and kind. The campground itself feels rustic with trees between most sights, and I personally like the subtle hills, which make the sites feels more spread out. Most of the…
