Had everything we needed plus more. Heated pool with American Flag inlaid. Veteran theme. Nice area to hike is the creek bed joust off the doggie walk area. Heated pool is no turned off for the winter. Over 100 sites, most pull through.
Easy check-in. Many sites have water, electric & sewer. Sites are very close to each other and there are no tables. The dog run is very small. Road noise from I40. There is a small brewery on site, hence upgraded to 4 stars. It appears that most sites are occupied by full-timers.
Couldn’t ask for more.
Lovely clean campground. $10 for non reserved, or $8 for on the shore. Large sites, some reserved sites have electricity.
While driving cross country, my friend and I were just looking for a place to camp for the night, relatively hassle free. We put “Six Mile rd” into our GPS and it took us to one of those dirt roads that runs right along the highway. We made the mistake of going in the dark, and we got lost and…
We were the only campers in the campground. Loved the quiet. This is dispersed camping in the national forest.
We stayed at this KOA on our way to California from Texas as an overnight stop. We liked it so much that we stayed there on our way back. There is very little shade and as it is high desert no grass either. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They also are able to provide a dinner meal.…
The camp sites are well laid out with picnic table. The bath room was primitive and I didn’t check out the showers. The lake and the area is enchanting!! It was my first visit to New Mexico and for sure I will be back! The lake is large and has fishing.
Had a relaxing, quiet three night stay from 8/10 - 8/13/21 with our Jayco Octane Lite SL161 toyhauler. The only facilities are clean vault toilets. Some pull through spots for smaller camping units. I would not recommend this campground for large RVs.
15 sites available with about 8 that I…
Great for fishing, camp sites have easy access, a d easy boataunch
Nice quiet park with great view. Great for birding.
Be careful taking the road past the parking lot! There is a deep mud pit on the right that looks just like normal dirt. When going in stay to the left, and when leaving stay right
GPS led me to the wrong location as I'm sure it did many - route yourself to Six Mile Canyon RD instead, it should…
Stopped here for the night on the way from Tucson to Denver and I'm so glad I did! I was a little nervous bc I'd read reviews saying it fills up fast and to get there before 5, but I got there about 8pm on a Monday in July and only saw one other spot taken. My 2wd car had no problem getting in and…
Lavaland is a nice rv park, but focused on the older community. registration was easy and online. Check in was simple.
There is no kid amenities at this property. There is a small dog run. No grass.
The property is still under construction in some spots. Newly cement pads and updated electrical…
We were in Site 113 in the back of the park. Pull through gravel site. Sites are very close. No privacy. We had a nice chat with our friendly neighbors though. Fenced Dog Park but it was dirt. No grass. Nice, clean pool! Laundry facility was nice. AT&T, T-Mobile Cell Service great. Drove…
