    Overview

Mill Creek is a spacious and sunny campground on the White River Arm of Table Rock Lake in the Missouri countryside. Many campsites within this park are located adjacent to the waters edge, with the remaining campsites only a short walk from the water with some of the best views on the lake.

    Recreation

Whether on water or land, Mill Creek Campground offers visitors countless recreational activities. Picnicking, swimming, scuba diving, boating, fishing, hunting, hiking and wildlife viewing are all popular pastimes at the park. While the lake boasts an abundance of crappie, catfish, and bluegill, Table Rock is most famous for bass, and is acclaimed as one of the best bass fishing lakes in this hemisphere. Table Rock Lakeshore Trail, about 2 miles long, runs from the Dewey Short Visitor Center to the Table Rock State Park Marina. During the spring hikers will see dogwood, serviceberry and redbud trees in bloom as well as many wildflower species. During the autumn months, visitors are treated to nature's colorful fall foliage. The trail also offers beautiful views of Table Rock Lake. Other hiking and mountain biking opportunities are available at the Mark Twain National Forest, parts of which are easily accessible from the campground. Click here for more information. A boat ramp, swimming beach, basketball court and volleyball court are provided. The campground is surrounded by water on three sides, providing visitors with convenient access to the lake.

    Natural Features

Table Rock Lake is a beautiful body of water surrounded by a forest of oak and hickory trees. Its waters wind down through the valleys and hollows of the Ozark Mountains, from Branson, Missouri to Eureka Springs, Arkansas. More than five million visitors per year take advantage of this recreational oasis. Originally built for flood control, the Table Rock Dam has created a lake that boasts 779 miles of shoreline for the public to enjoy.

    Nearby Attractions

The Dewey Short Visitors Center is located at the south end of Table Rock Dam. It offers three educational films focused on the history of the dam, the story of Lewis and Clark and the history of eagles and their endangerment in the state of Missouri. The visitor center also contains exhibits about the natural history of the area. Those visitors arriving by boat can take advantage of the courtesy dock. Mill Creek Campground is about 18 miles from Branson, Missouri, which offers grocery stores, gas and additional tourist attractions.

    Chadwick, Missouri

    Overview

Cobb Ridge Campground is adjacent to the Chadwick Riding area, which is popular among and off-road vehicles (dirt bikes; ATVs and side by sides 50 inches or less) enthusiasts. Numerous trails provide nearly 80 miles of interconnecting loops that vary from easy to difficult terrain, winding in and out of deep, forested hollows and down long ridge tops. Family and group camping is available, providing access to Missouri's beautiful Mark Twain National Forest.

    Recreation

Visitors to the area mostly come for the plentiful off-road vehicle trails (motorcycle; ATVs and side by sides 50 inches or less). Some trail segments are very rocky, steep, rough, rutted and are technically challenging, while others that don't drain well have been built up with concrete. Hiking on the trails is also permissible but requires caution. If using the trails, you will need a Chadwick riding permit - they are available at our District office; Casey's General Store in Sparta, MO. Cost is $45 for an annual; $7/day for motorcycles, ATVs and side by sides. $3 for mountain bike. You will need make/model and VIN# of vehicle along with rider information. The permit is valid for the machine and cannot be transferred.

    Natural Features

The Chadwick area is mostly forested with oak, hickory and pine woods on rocky ridge tops, with a few small open forest glades. Steep ridges break into narrow hollows with scattered surface rock and occasional rock ledges and patches of eastern red cedar.

    Nearby Attractions

The campground is 30 miles from Springfield, Branson, Silver Dollar City and Shepherd of the Hills attractions. Lake Taneycomo is 20 miles south of Cobb Ridge.

    $2 for 5 min shower!!!

The good: Beautiful location. Limited access due to 11’ 6” bridge to enter location. Not near Passion Play as indicated on Apple Maps. Double check location before you book!

The Bad: $2 for 5 min shower?! Campsite price, $40, doesn’t include shower.  No sewer hookups. Also serves as public boat ramp. Random people coming and going. Women’s toilet is a pit toilet, (outhouse)!

    Gorgeous Autumn Camping

Stayed 3 nights. Weekend had a few family gatherings near us, but the weekdays we pretty much had the place to ourselves. Campground is well maintained with beautiful views of Table Rock Lake. We were in upper section (electric only) - the lower section next to the marina has full hookups. There are a few pull-through, but most sites are back-in and long enough for al most any rig.

    Motors Mostly

This beautiful campground in classic Ozark hardwoods is a haven for things with motors. Bikes, ATVs, gold carts, all manners of off-road thingies, and the louder the better. At the same time, it was clean, folks were respectful, and it was quiet after dark. Enough Verizon signal to get Facebook. Some sites have electricity.

    Quiet, Centrally Located, Large Sites

We really enjoyed our stay here! It was the week after Labor Day and was mostly vacant, making for a quiet stay. Love the amenities for kids! The only reason I give 4 stars is the dog policy— it’s very strict, and there isn’t a dog park type area to let pets off leash to play & get energy out.

    Bar K Wrangler Camp

    A good waypoint.

No amenities other than composting toilets. There are a few tent sites along the road and there is plenty of grassy area near the creek for RVs/trailers. This is a horse camp with plenty of evidence, but it was only us and a couple of other tent campers.

The creek was obviously spring fed, crystal clear and had a gravelly bottom. There were plenty of places to get in the water...understanding that this is horse camp.

The place was well maintained and mowed and it was super peaceful and quiet. The main annoyance was some trash in fire pits along the creek.

If you consider this as a waypoint, two things:

    1. There is about a mile of dusty, gravel road that is a little rough.

    2. We had great T-Mobile 10 miles south, but it dropped to zero by the time we drove into camp.

    Beautiful mediterranean style farming Homestead

This RV pad is located on a secluded 10 acre Homestead that the owners also rent out the upstairs to their Mediterranean style home on Airbnb. We rented their RV site and was welcomed by the owners upon arrival. Very private & secluded with easy access. Surrounded by trees on 10 acres of land with lots of wildlife. the homesteaders have chickens & a seasonal garden, beautiful fire pit area and plenty of open space to put out your cornhole games and set up your volleyball, badminton nets and whatever activities you have. Centrally located to Branson, Missouri, Eureka Springs, Arkansas, Bull Shoals lake and the Buffalo national River.

    Berry-good Time

Found this place on a whim through Missouri. Was looking for dispersed camping and not much popped up in the area. So campgrounds were next up.

This place already had a few good reviews, so I called them up. Immediately knew this was going to be the place. Super nice folks, clear communication, and even showed us the grounds upon arrival.

Lots of amenities for just staying a single night. Everything you need and want in a campground, but not a KOA or Yogi packed site.

Overall 5/5, cheap, friendly, abundance of things to do, and quiet (when I stayed).

P.S. Depending on which site you choose… the cost varies, but still cheap. There is lighting, power outlets, tables, fire rings and outdoor grill, along with many other fun child-friendly things.

    Silver Dollar City Campground

    Quiet and Friendly

We have always loved coming to the Silver Dollar City campgrounds. We have been doing this for over 10 years now. We usually stay in the cabins, and this is our first year taking our fifth wheel. I was worried about the height, clearance and trees since our RV is is over 13 ft tall and 45 ft long. The trees were well trimmed and I had no problem getting into our pull-through spot all the way in the back. The people here are always friendly and helpful. We love the quiet woods atmosphere. Great little playgrounds for the kids and the pool. The pull-through spot was a little uneven but not as bad as it looks. It would be nice if they were paved. It usually rains this time of year (May) and the unpaved spots can get a little messy in the rain. The pull-through spots are alternating so you are facing your neighbor's door and not their sewage. Each site has a fire pit and picnic table. We always come here for the Bluegrass Festival at Silver Dollar City. The park is great and worth the season pass if you plan to go more than one day.

Wasn't here for that long But will be back!

We didn't stay for long only a few days.  But we have visited years ago and enjoyed the park.

We came back a little over a year ago and drove right back out.  Recently were told it had been purchased and the new owners were cleaning the place out so we decided to give it a shot with the family for a short visit to decide if we'd come back for a longer visit later.

We had a great time!  The place has been fully overhauled.

They are still doing some odds and ends but it wasn't bothersome.

The new manager is fantastic. she was so nice and is constantly running around planting and making sure everyone is doing well.

There's a hand full of long term guests that remained and we were told that the new owners really cleaned out all of the problem guests making it such an enjoyable place for them that they want to do cook outs with the guests and meet new friends again.

They are really working hard on making this place a great place for families to to come and have a good time and the guests are really appreciating all they are doing.

Everyone we talked with was so happy to sit and chat and just get to know each other around the community fire pit.

So happy to not have to go back to the state park now that this place is on track to being the great place it once was.
