We were told if we arrived by 9 PM we could have a campsite. We arrived at 8:50 and the office was closed. We had no where to sleep due to the fact that we had trusted the person in the office who lied to us.
Just got back from a 2 night mid week break. Huge campground. Friendly staff. Kids everywhere so be careful and drive slow. Not very buggy considering all the water nearby.
Overall, a nice place to stay for a short visit. Much of the park is occupied by Seasonal and Full timers. There are 4 lakes so fishing, row boating, etc. is popular… so were the mosquitoes 😉 Rough dirt road into the park but otherwise well laid out once you understand all the “loops”. 2 man-made…
The first thing to note is the long dirt road that you will travel to get to the campground. It’s really rough, we went about 12 mph.
Upon arrival the campground staff was very friendly and got us all checked in and set up with gate cards. The campground is also all dirt roads so it’s a slow go.…
We stopped here for the night on our way to Indiana. It rained on us the entire time which made the drive to the site even worse. It’s a very bumpy, dirt road. It may not have been as bad without the rain. Once we arrived at our site, we realized we didn’t have a long enough cord to plug in! A lot…
Unfortunately it rained most of our stay here, so we didn’t get to explore as much as we wanted. It’s an awesome campground with lots of amenities! There is a disc golf course and beach area on the campground. Near it are a water park, lovely farmers market (highly recommend) and a cute little ice…

We thoroughly enjoyed the campgrounds- especially our lakefront full hookup 😊
The staff was extremely accommodating after I discovered my booking error - they worked diligently to make me a happy camper 😂.
The entire campground was well kept; the bathrooms, the grounds, and the laundry…
This campground is within a 15 minute drive to Cedar Point and the price point is much more affordable then the campground at Cedar Point. It was not overbooked which was nice because the lots are tiny. They had a pool which kids seemed to love.
- Bathrooms were ok. Functioning but outdated
Stayed at Camp Lord Willing in June 2021 and it was a peaceful friendly environment with seasonal and experienced campers.
- Lots are gravel
- Shower House is at the front and not in a centralized location
- Staff is awesome!
- Great location for several places to visit in Michigan

We camped here after going to Cedar Point rollercoaster riding for the evening. We came in at about 11pm and it was easy to find our site and hook up to power. The dump took forever because there were tons of people and one malfunctioning dump and one malfunctioning fresh water. But it was the July…
The experience was actually pretty good overall but I'm a half full sort. We drove in to explore the area for the day/night from Michigan and loved the Very Tight (vegetation wall on all three sites) site 3. We checked out the other 2 available sites which have the same gravel pad a fire pit and a…
Great for family fun. There are some toys to enjoy on the water.
Most campers are yearly campers.
We've camped at Maumee Bay State Park twice and enjoyed it both times. The campground is part of a larger resort complex that includes a hotel, marina, a nice beach on Lake Erie, a second beach on an inland lake, golf course, mowed hiking trails and - our favorite - about 5 miles of beautiful,…
Great for an overnight stay while traveling!
