We saw so many deer in park and on the way in! This was the campground I wanted to stay at but I’m glad I didn’t. Only one (possibly 2) restrooms and no flush toilets. Road is extremely rough, pavement is coming apart and so are the sites. Didn’t look like it had been mowed recently either. It’s a…
We loved it here! Had camper on one site and tent on another, no complaints either way. Water is clear and beautiful, if you’re bank fishing it was mostly perch in June (don’t know about other times) and swimming was nice. Sites are nice size and most are shaded with quite a few on water and I…
Campground is clean and well maintained. Only bathroom on “island” part is flush toilets with the showers the rest are not. The restroom with showers has no ventilation or fans and it’s HOT! There are many places to swim other than swim beach. Other than the restroom being hot it was an excellent…
Last minute 2 night trip with my girls (6,8). I haven’t been this far up river since I was a kid, so I didn’t know what to expect. It’s a slow drive from the south on 7 (20mph speed limit in places), so account for the extra time to set camp before dark. We went during the week, so it was…
Nobody answered the phone or called back before I came but it worked out ok. Firewood costs 5 dollars. Camping is 20 per car or 4 people. The snack hut was closed. Wasnt told of any trails rentals or much of anything. It was camping
Pros: Free, Isolated, quite and great views.
Cons: trash sporadically thrown about and lack of facilities (there’s toilets if you’re brave enough.)
Lastly it’s neither a pro or con but there are LOTS of critters. I was car camping and woke up to several large spider webs attached to my car and a…
I have been to devil's den MANY times. I've always loved it and have never had any issues. I send many, many friends to the park to go camping. We drive nearly 5 hours to go. Well, until my trip this weekend. I'm a covid front lines worker and haven't had a weekend off in far too long, so I brought…
This is are favorite place to camp. The sites are not small. Good mixture of shaded and full sun. This site 80 had a grade that was pretty steep.
wonderful place. very clean
This ranch is beautiful and great for hiking and climbing. The environment is awesome and the place is well-managed. The sport climbing here in particular is really well maintained and the sandstone rock is grippy and clean. HCR is great; my friends and I have been coming there for years.
The campground is beautiful and has a nice walk down to the river. Would recommend to anyone who is headed to Horseshoe Canyon Ranch or the Buffalo National River.
The campground is smaller which I like but always busy. It's a good place for families that want to get into the river. Half the sites are near a tree line and the others out in the open. It's a very pretty area.

Not a bad price at all for what you get!! Love it! 🥰🙌🏻
I enjoy this campground. There are nice sites and emenities. It's has a good place to put kayaks in the river and a few good trail heads right there. The road to it is not the best but it has improved. At the top of the road there is a general store to rent kayaks and a coin operated shower too.…
