ScoutThis is a fantastic spot. NFS calls the designated dispersed area “Grassy Lake Rd” as an FYI. 8 specific sites. We stayed in #6 for 4 nights. About 5.5 miles off main road - creek running behind the site. Each site has a pit toilet (site 6 is an individual site), trash, bear box, fire pit and picnic table. NFS stops by DAILY to empty your trash and clean the bathroom. Very kind and respectful - spoils you for sure! Would definitely come back to this spot. As to be expected camping in the wilderness, mosquitos were pretty heavy in early July. Also very close to (couple of miles) to the south entrance of Yellowstone.
Guidenot much to complain about here! other than the fact that it is a popular fishing spot and you will see a lot of fisherman parking their car by your campsite. there is also only 2 designated camping spots near where i stayed. but this was not a good drive for a big rig, there is a parking lot for bigger campers! didn’t seem too busy we found a perfect spot on a saturday!
TravelerWe chose this small campground to shelter from the nuttiness of the July 4th holiday weekend. There are only 8 well spaced sites total in the campground and one of those is occupied by the hosts, who take extremely good care of the facilities. The vault toilets are very clean, smell great, have hand sanitizer, and actually have rugs to make them feel more like a real bathroom. There are drinking water spigots; but no water or sewer at the sites. Mesa Falls is within easy walking distance and there are two rails-to-trails within an easy ride. The campground is quiet, easy to navigate, and has power at each site. Great place to stay.

TravelerWe pulled off the road and were a little confused on where the camp sites were but drove around a little and found the best spot! Close to the water and the ground was nice and flat for our tent. Great spacing between sites and was very chill. Saw some folks camping up closer to the highway in the trees too. Highway noise was minimal.

ScoutOther than mosquitoes, there’s nothing to complain about in this lovely little national forest campground. Just $6 with the senior pass ($13 w/o). Dry camping with bear box, picnic tables and fire pit on a nice gravel site. Vault toilet, pack out your trash. Great camp host.
