Our RV accommodations include both pull-through and back-in spaces, electric, water, and sewer hook-ups. We also provide a bath house, laundry facilities, and 16 acres to stretch out and make use of picnic tables, fire pits, corn hole boards, and the on-site soda machine.

Our rustic studio cabin provides a quiet getaway on the hilltop, only steps away from our rafting departures. The cabin provides 2 queen beds, mini-frig, bathroom, sitting porch, and all linens.

The closest campground to the New River Gorge Bridge. Chestnut Creek Campground offers quiet primitive camping in the woods. We are a mere half a mile (0.5mi) from the New River Gorge Bridge! That's walking distance folks. Our hygienic facility has hot showers, lavatory stalls, hand washing sinks, and a wash basin located outside for dish washing and filling up water jugs. Firewood and Ice are available on site as well. Each campsite has a picnic table and a fire pit. A general store and burrito bar are located literally around the corner; Both are within walking distance. Hiking and Climbing trail-heads (Fern Buttress, Endless Wall, Beauty Mountain; to name a few) are just down the way and access to the river is a stone's throw away (our drive is just across from Fayette Station Rd). If you're wanting to venture further to more local restaurants/shops; we are only a 5 minute drive from downtown Fayetteville. We are a pet friendly establishment for those with dogs who love to travel as much as you do. We keep quiet hours from 11pm-7am (starts @ midnight on weekends). Mainly we accommodate rustic tent camping, however; some sites are able to accommodate pop-up campers and trailers up to 20ft (we do not have hookups/electric). Just minutes away from Cranberry back country ,Cranberry glades, Hillscreek falls and the highland scenic highway. 8 miles off of route 19 where you can enjoy Summersville Lake and Gauley River Whitewater. Just a few miles on down the road to the New River Gorge, where on an October day guests from around the world come to jump off a perfectly good bridge, with parachutes attached of course. Too many mountain streams to list all, where I myself enjoy fishing for our state fish Native brook trout. Cell service is sketchy in places, which I consider a plus if you want to enjoy all the beauty. My friend Rick Greene will take you and your family via mules and wagon to trout fish the Cranberry River, where no motor vehicles are permitted. Access only on foot, bike or horse. Our Tiny Cabins and Vintage camper rentals are just right for your weekend glamping needs. Our RV sites are a variety of full hook up, water/electric, and primitive wooded sites to cover all camping styles. We are Open Year Round for Cabins & RV's.

We take great pride in our wonderful amenities from our clean bathrooms and showers, pirate ship playground, huge dog park, hammock hangout, table tennis area, community fire pits, picnic shelters, cornhole arena, horseshoe pits, gift shop and camp store, and of course our working lighthouse that you can climb 10 stories to the see the views for miles.

We also have both motorized boat rentals as well as kayaks, canoes, and SUP's for your enjoyment of Summersville Lake.

Take Gatewood Road to the Cunard turnoff, between Oak Hill and Fayetteville. Turn, then go 1.8 miles, then follow signs to Cunard River Access. Bear right through the boat launch parking lot and continue upstream for a mile. Sites are on the left. There are four shaded walk-in sites and one drive-in site for tents only.

Backcountry camping works the same way. You can park your van down by the river for free, as long as you’re self-sustaining. Amenities will be minimal at any of the nine campgrounds.
