"This was a nice spot tucked away from the interstate but not super far. Clean restrooms, nice staff. Stayed here twice on our trip to Moab. Plan on staying again on other trips to southern Utah"
"They have a lot of orchards near and fresh fruit stand close by which would be great in summer but in the fall it made the area buggy. Easy to get in and out of. Level sites and a quiet area."
$30 - $40 / night
"Arrived around 2pm on a Friday and stayed at Cutler Flats. Didn't look at the other campgrounds so can't speak to them in particular. Drove up and down the loop and most were available at that time."
"The sites were plenty big, each had a fire pit and picnic table and were close to legit toilets. It was beautiful. Worth the drive to get a little further off the beaten path."
$26 - $353 / night
"Tucked away from SLC, it's a perfect little oasis."
"We enjoyed the camp site and the short walk to the lake. Facilities were clean and staff was great."
$60 - $150 / night
"This park is a great stopover on your way through Utah or weekend visit. The lake is clean and still very natural. The swans circling the water are something to see."
"This campground is right next to the I-15, and a set of train tracks that seem to see daily use."
$38 - $63 / night
"Close to hiking trails and lake."
"But it is quieter than being next to the freeway."
"The utilities were in the perfect position for an RV towing a car. The front desk was super friendly and gives popcorn every day. Very walkable park and safe."
"Our biggest complaint about this park was the minimal distance between sites. It does have close proximity to a lot of what Ogden offers."
$60 / night
"I arrived at around 6:30 PM with no reservation and had no issues. The guy at the front gate was a peach, super kind and helpful. It’s $25 a night for a tent site."
"We had spot 119 and had a perfect view of the beautiful mountains behind us and the lake in front. We had beach access down to the beach and got to watch the sunset completely private."
$59 - $74 / night
"River and walking trail just steps away from all sites. Would be nice if the dog park was finished. There are other amenities that are planned to be available, but are not available yet."
"There is a dog park area and access to a trail which runs along the river. There is a lot of noise from the interstate and the nearby Air Force base."
$20 - $200 / night
"One of our favorite state parks in Utah is only~45 minutes away from Salt Lake City! There are bison, antelope, deer, and many other animals that call this island home."
"By far one of my favorite stops through Utah ❤️ absolutely breathtaking views, along with scenic routes to see wildlife such as the bison."
$60 - $400 / night
"Very clean and quint campground Right next to a busy interstate that is very noisy 24/7 We were tired of driving and decided to stay the night Went for a walk with the dogs and the mosquitoes attacked"
"Very nice bathrooms, worth the $25 if you’re in Salt Lake City area and need somewhere to stay"
This campground is a weedy field right next to the interstate for $25. Sites are like parking at a music festival, little to no shade in the sites, no picnic tables in the sites, fire rings old burnt out cut barrels, and very little to no privacy at all. There is a communal picnic shade area but that is not my vibe when camping. I could see it working for a single desperate night for RVs but not for a extended stay. We ended up not staying because of the vibe and the sound of the interstate ( I couldn’t image sleeping in a tent there!) Drove up the road and got a Holiday Inn instead.
No warning that the road narrows with no turn around about a mile into the campground, or the trees are overgrown which scratched up my sides. The only spaces large enough for my 23 ft RV were occupied, and all of the car-sized spots were also taken.
Love it! I’ve driven by this place dozens of times to go camping elsewhere and had some reservation about it. Since it’s only an hour from home, this place may become our go-to for short stays and the occasional long stay.
Amazing location especially because it’s close to bear lake!
I heard it’s better in August, but if you camp way further down the mosquitos are absolutely miserable.
I went by myself on a Friday afternoon and it was super busy but there were still some spots for just a car right off the side of the road which worked fine for me since I was car camping, but I would be cautious if you aren’t car camping to make sure you show up earlier than I did (6pm).
Also if you keep driving for maybe 20-30min down the road there’s even more beautiful spots, but it’s pretty rocky so be careful if you don’t trust your car/have low clearance. I got my car stuck in a ditch trying to pull into one of the further spots (10/10 don’t recommend) lol. Bumper is now falling off and I think one of the rocks gave my tire a leak.
We came during a week day and the whole site was empty! Very quiet, very pretty, and very colorful. There were only two or maybe three spots total, so get here early.
We are at a spot that is on a cement loop (#1) which was unlevel and it is not next to the lake but closer to the road (which is not too busy) but a view of the lake. You get a nice covered pavilion with a steel picnic table and fire ring with grate for grilling. The camp host was very sweet. Most of the sites are pull through and accommodates big rigs very well. The park managers keep it clean.
Easy travel to dispersed camping.
Aspen Grove RV camp is super clean, really nicely done and I would definitely stay here again. I found the best coffee shop of the trip yet! You must try Buzzbru coffee so good and if you like bbq J Brian’s smokehouse had the best ribs/burgers/potato salad and sugar cookie. Bear lake is a must do and so much good in Utah!
This was a Harvest Host, which was a plus, we may have stayed here regardless, but glad we did. We arrived before the 2pm check in time, but no problem. The staff at check in were very welcoming. nice little store inside as well as some ice cream and other items for sale. Very clean RV park. The sites, streets, and pads, all in excellent condition. Everything looks new. Location is between the interstate and a railroad. Pretty quiet surprisingly. There is a trailhead right down the road that is along the Weber River. Mountain bike or hike, you with have a good time. I would for sure come here next time we pass this way.
