Bountiful Peak Campground

Accessible only via a steep mountain road through Farmington Canyon, Bountiful Peak Campground operates seasonally from late June through early September at $15-$98 per night. The Forest Service facility requires cash or check payment, as electronic payment systems are not available. Reservations can be made in advance for the forested sites that provide water hookups and standard amenities.

The campground sits in a canyon setting with sites that offer ample space and shade coverage. Casey S. describes it as a "really nice campground in such a beautiful Canyon" with "good size camping spots and standard bathrooms." Several campers note the elevated position provides views down toward the Salt Lake City area, particularly striking after dark when city lights become visible below.

Fishing, hiking, and biking trails are accessible from the campground, along with designated OHV/ATV areas for off-road vehicle enthusiasts. The facility allows campfires with firewood available for purchase, and both pets and generators are permitted. Cell phone service reaches the area, though coverage may vary by carrier. Sites accommodate both drive-in and walk-in camping, though RV length restrictions apply.

The access road presents challenges that multiple visitors emphasize in their feedback. The route involves switchbacks with no shoulder, leading one camper to recommend 4-wheel drive or all-wheel drive vehicles for safer navigation. Despite the demanding drive, campers report the canyon location and site quality justify the effort required to reach the area.

For extended stays in the region, campers can explore places to camp around Centerville or Lagoon RV Park & Campground for different amenity levels. The seasonal window and road conditions make advance planning essential for a successful visit to this mountain forest location.

Nice Campground

Drove up here to see if this campground is open yet, Still closed for the winter. I called the Forest Service and they said it open July 1st 2020. The sites have plenty of room, tons of shade and easy access to bathrooms.

Great campground up Farmington Canyon

Really nice campground in such a beautiful Canyon. Good size camping spots and standard bathrooms. Great fire pits too! If you've never driven up Farmington Canyon it is a steep road with no shoulder, I'd recommend a 4X4 or all wheel drive vehicle.
