First leg of high plains adventure

This KOA just north of the Iowa border is first class. ! Friendly staff and perfect for kiddos. The pool and adventure area are right up your alley if traveling with kids.

Beautiful Newer RV Park

It is really obvious that these folks put a lot of thought and effort into this park. Big lake for swimming and fishing. Concrete pads and nice new picnic tables. We were greater by an awesome host who gave us some welcome gifts. Keep in mind, this is an RV park, not a campground. Sites are…

Nice campground, tight sites

Nicely maintained, beautiful lake, clean restrooms and nice pool and playground. Great helpful people! But virtually no space between sites.

Nice SRA campground

We didn't stay here just came through to see. $30 a night and an $8 non resident fee was a little steep for an electric only site. Clean well maintained. Showers available.

Small town park

Quiet park. Gravel parking lot with 8 30 amp sites. Water and dump site on 11th st on the left pasted the ball field. $10 a night 10% discount for eligible people. We stayed 2 nights and would stay again.

Extremely Rude

Tried this place one time last year (first time rv camping and first koa experience). We had never been to this place and were yelled at on multiple occasions on the first day for supposed "campground rule" violations that weren't posted. The owners, rather than approach us and calmly speak to us,…

Great Winter Camp

A lot of places in Iowa are closed to camping until April or even May. I looked west and quickly found this. There are areas of the park that are "closed for winter", but I was able to find a primitive spot for an overnight to get out and enjoy the rebound from the subzero weather of the previous…

Great Place & Convenient Location

We stayed here originally planning on one night that morphed into three due to weather. It worked out perfectly, we had full hookups even in freezing weather, and access to laundry, bathrooms, and a playground. Located just outside of town, we felt very comfortable even in inclimate weather.

Not my kind of place I guess

I stopped by here at this site. And honestly I was not really all the impressed. I will say they do have some kind of security. Because I was not in the park long trying to visit a friend. Before I was approached and asked for a park pass. They do have a swimming pool on premises. But the…

Great quiet lake less than 5 minutes from Tekamah

Summit is a great lake just west of Tekamah, and less than a hour from Omaha. Turning the corner off the highway to go to the park, the first thing we see are 2 eagles soaring over the area and lake. You come around the last bend or turn and there it is this 190 acre beauty. You come into the…

Beautiful Park

Ponca State Park is beautiful. The drive from Omaha was so quick and easy. The park is beautiful with tons of trails and things to explore. The overlooks are great, you can see so much of the river. Bathroom areas are well kept and so are the grounds. The campsites are well spread out and we found…

Scenic Park-South Sioux City

We have stayed here multiple times, always accommodating, always clean. The sites closer to the river tend to be quieter. This is a city-run park and offers plenty to do. Sites are not crammed together and the staff is always helpful. Would highly recommend.

Hidden Gem

This is a fairly new campground that has a lot to offer.

The pull through sites are fully concrete and level. They all have a huge table and stone fire pit. Plenty of room for a second vehicle.

Full hookups are great.

Tons of activities to do here. There’s fishing, boating, biking, and swimming.…
