Nice campground on river

Nice campground on the river. There is lots of hiking trails but the deer flies could be bad on some of the trails. Spotty AT&T cell phone coverage.

Super nice and not a lot of people

Kind of off the beaten path. You have to take the Willow River exit and go through the town a little bit. There's a small sign next to the Squirrel Cage restaurant and bar. You'll be next to the freeway and you'll hear the noise but it's not that bad. Usually hardly anyone is here. They have picnic…

Beautiful River!

Nice wooded sites with just a short walk to the river or water falls and although we visited in early June, there was surprisingly no bugs! Camp sites were clean and it was a very enjoyable stay.

Huge park, very family friendly campground for Memorial Day

We chose this campground out of the three in the state park here for it's quiet and privacy.  Site 210 (non electric) in Old Logging Trail was quite private and shaded, although we were not able to get our squaredrop camper or truck very far off the road due to placement of the gravel pad. Tenters…

  • Lodge Visitor Center was open for main room and plumbed restrooms, but the interpretive center is still closed this spring as Of May 30th (2021) for construction.
  • site 210 from the far site towards the gravel pad. Orange tent is neighbor.

Just ok

Pulled over here for a quick stay. It is close to the freeway is about it. Not really what I would be looking for, for an extended stay. It was fine for an easy come and go. Facilities were clean.

Great!

Awesome state park! Right along side of State Hwy 53. All the amenities you would need. Clean restrooms, bathrooms etc. All kinds of room to stretch out. Playground in good shape and very large area's for BBQing. Also nice trail system for hiking with a few site's for backpacking in.

It was nice, but busy!

The campground offers a lot of choices. We stayed one night in a non-electric site then were able to move over to an electric site. It was a pretty full campground, but they did not have everything open. We had some great neighbors that were tent camping next to our camper. The showerhouse was…

Great Campground

I spent the weekend at This camp ground and loved every moment. It was early April so quiet with only a only a couple others staying here. Hiking and Bike trails right there. Drove around the park and so much to see and experience! Highly recommend!!

Nice campground & nice staff

We are KOA members (who stay at a lot of KOAs) - our 1st visit at this Cloquet KOA was Sept 2020:

The staff were friendly. One staff drove a cart right to our campsite and helped us determine the best way to back in our RV for the most privacy. We needed a couple of items for our RV and the…

First solo experience

This was my first solo tent camping night in June 5, 2020. There were some horse flies when I parked but they didn't seem to hang out in the shade of my campsite. There was a very loud bird making calls until about 1am... Maybe a whip-poor-will. Otherwise a serene spot tucked back in the walk in…

Gordon Dam County Park, Douglas Co, Wi.

Beautiful location at the end of a dead end. No showers, but they have a nice pit toilet. Great fishing on the St. Croix river/flowage. Quiet peaceful place. Playground for kids. Firewood, $5 an armload. Fish cleaning house. Boat launch/ landing. First come, first serve. Enjoy!!
