Welcome to Sandy Neck Beach Park. Thousands of years have allowed this barrier beach to develop into 4,700 acres of dunes, maritime forests, and marshes. It is a living museum, exhibiting dynamic landscapes rich with ecological activity and recreational opportunities.
Each year thousands of visitors are attracted to Sandy Neck to soak up the sunshine, swim, and beach comb as they witness the power of the ocean. While extremely satisfying, these activities represent a fraction of the possibilities for any visitor seeking to enjoy a quality outdoor experience.

AMC Ponkapoag Camp is located on the east shore of Ponakpoag Pond at the end of a gravel road. Access is granted through a locked gate directly across the street from the Canton Equestrian Center. Call the manager for the gate combination. Please be considerate of hikers and equestrian traffic on the access road.

20 cabins (sleep two to seven).
Two tent sites.

Wood stove (firewood is available for purchase, or may be gathered).

Ponkapoag Camp

As always we are excited and can't wait to share our place with you! We are a small farmette with chickens, ducks, goats, fruits, veggies, and Irish Wolfhounds. We always wash all blankets and all other linens between guest. We are former city people who feel more than lucky to have greenspace to share! Come stay in our tiny rustic A frame cabin built of mostly reclaimed materials. Enjoy being across the stream and over the bridge from the main house on a private peninsula. Enjoy the privacy of a "single site" camp! Use the fire pit, weber grill, outdoor wood stove, single burner butane stove or umm the bathroom :) without having to leave your site! Please be aware we are in town and you may hear road noise, lawn mowers, dogs, ect. You may also see and hear wildlife ex; deer, beavers, muskrats, rabbits, foxes, and coyotes. We encourage native plants and work to provide a sanctuary for many threatened bird species.

The cabin is 80sq. feet with sloping interior walls and with a screened side wall. There is no running water or electricity so unplug and unwind. There is a place to plug in and the water spigot a short stroll from your cabin. The cabin has a a full size futon with sheets, blankets, throws and pillows. Lanterns, cooking utensils, camp mugs, percolating coffee pot and popcorn popper are provided. Please request the cast iron skillet and butane burner, it will not be in the cabin if you do not ask for it. Outside is a deck, tiki torches and bistro table. There is a hammock, picnic table, and 2 camp chairs at your site. If you forget something you are a short walk to Cumbies, and several farms, bakeries and a large grocer are a very short drive away. Venture farther (10 minutes) to one of the nearby hiking trails. We are within 15 minutes of the Blackstone Gorge, Southern New England Trunkline Trail, Cornier Woods, Franklin State Forest, Wojcik Farm, Cook's Valley Farm, the New England Bonsai Museum, Diamond Hill Vineyards, Caroline's Cannabis, Shire Conservation Area, New England Country Club, and many stables. The Commuter Rail to Boston, Wrentham Premium Outlets, and a Drive-in Theater are within 30 minutes. Use us as a base to explore Blackstone Valley, Boston and Worcester!! The countryside setting of the Boston/Cape Cod KOA, 15 miles west of Plymouth, makes a great base camp as you explore one of the oldest cities in the United States. This New England campground boasts wooded campsites and plenty of on-site recreation opportunities including a Jumping Pillow, a pool and a pavilion for family get-togethers. Enjoy the picturesque setting in a Camping Cabin or a furnished Deluxe Cabin. Your KOA hosts will make it easy to explore the history-rich area of southeastern Massachusetts. They'll supply you with lots of info for a quick ride into Boston. Additionally, they can offer brochures and helpful tips for visiting Plymouth, Boston, Cape Cod and the surrounding areas. Enjoy great seafood restaurants and shops in the area. After a fun-filled day of sightseeing, head back for a swim in KOA's heated swimming pool and enjoy a s'mores feast at your site's fire ring. For beach lovers, pitching a tent amongst the white sand dunes of Massachusetts’ Cape Cod is truly an experience of a lifetime. The shrubby black oak, stunted pitch pine, and delicate dune rose of this region offer the perfect backdrop to the roughly 400 miles of pristine shoreline. Bike along the Cape Cod Rail Trail for 22 miles of easy riding, as it weaves in and out of six Cape Cod towns along the Atlantic. 


A few hours north, Boston awaits with its iconic history and big city vibes. For a fresh way to see Boston, head downtown and kayak along the Charles River, an 80 mile waterway that meanders in and out of Boston’s neighborhoods and riverside parks. After exploring Boston and the Charles River, hop on a shuttle ferry to the Boston Harbor Islands, where you can set up your tent and watch as the city skyline lights up the night sky above your campsite.


Craving a woodland camping adventure? Head inland to Western Massachusetts, where the Berkshires welcome you with rich, dense forests, exhilarating waterfalls, and a number of fantastic hikes along the Appalachian Trail. For this area, camping in Massachusetts’ State Parks is your best bet. Hike to the highest point in Massachusetts, Mount Greylock, where you’ll be rewarded with outstanding views of four other New England states. There is a campground on the mountain, but you’ll have to carry in your gear.

Pinewood Lodge Campground is located outside Plymouth, Massachusetts, on a 50-acre fresh water lake and has over 3,000 feet of lake frontage as well as a six-acre island. The campground offers traditional tent and RV campsites, as well as cottages, yurts and cabins.

Tucked between the edge of our woods and farm pastures, our campsite offers seclusion, and a beautiful view of the Quicksand Pond and the Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy the swans as they float by and on a clear night, a star filled sky. 

This tent site is a 45 min. drive to Providence, Newport, and Cape Cod; and an hour and a half to Boston. 

The beach is just around the corner. Little Compton is a beautiful farming/fishing community filled with history and country roads perfect for biking or driving excursions. Sampling of near by attractions within 15-minutes of the campsite include: Sakonnet Vineyards, Buzzards Bay Brewery, and Tiverton 4 Corners Artisan Shops. The many farm stands in town offer all you need for fresh produce.

Guest Access:
This is an exclusive Tentrr Signature campsite. Tentrr partners with land owners to offer unique accommodations in beautiful outdoor spaces. Our campsites are off-the-grid which means they generally do not have access to electricity, wifi, or modern plumbing. Instead, they offer the chance to relax, unplug, and fully experience nature! 

Your Tentrr campsite includes a 10'x12' (120 square feet) safari-style canvas tent on a raised wooden platform. Inside the tent you'll find one queen bed with a memory foam mattress. The tent is big enough for the bed plus one or two extra sleeping bags on the floor. Aside from the canvas tent, campers can also use the extra 5-person pop-up dome tent that___s provided. You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, outdoor fire pit, 2 Tentrr Adirondack chairs, and a heating source to keep you warm and toasty at night. 

Max Occupancy: This refers to the total number of campers allowed onsite with your reservation. 

Toilets: Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet (we call it the Tentrr Loo). This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. To use, line the bucket with a CleanWaste Sani-Bag supplied at the camp prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. CleanWaste Sani-Bags use a NASA-developed gelling/deodorizing agent that helps prevent spills and keeps everyone safe and clean.

Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days.

Interaction with Guests:
Upon check out, you should leave-no-trace of your stay and be sure your campsite is returned to its natural glory! While Tentrr does not charge a cleaning fee, we do expect campsites to be left how they were found. After you check out, take everything you brought in and be sure to leave your trash at the designated location.

If a Tentrr Host submits an incident report after your stay that details evidence of trash or damage to the campsite or the host's property, Tentrr reserves the right to charge a minimum cleaning fee of $50. Just make sure to follow the Camper Manual posted at your campsite and you'll be set!

Reservation Modifications/Cancellations: Please note the terms of the cancelation policy as they are outlined in your confirmation email. Your Tentrr Host is unable to change or cancel your reservation on your behalf, and they are unable to waive any cancellation fees (if applicable). If you have any questions regarding modifications to your booking, please reach out to Tentrr Customer Support.

*Do enjoy our hammock, fire pit, 3 camp chairs (stored under the bed), 3 person canoe and kayak. When canoeing on the pond, appropriate footwear must be worn (water shoes and lifejackets are provided - stored in bin under tent deck).

*Do enjoy our new outhouse. 

*Please don't carve your name into anything.

*Please don't cut down trees. 

*Look out for poison ivy, poison oak, and sumac.

*Check for ticks regularly.

*There is a minimum cleaning fee of $50 for leaving our campsite a mess.
