Watch the smoke rise from the forests creating clouds after a foggy morning or rain. Discover cliffs, caves, springs and more as you adventure the land. Hike the terrain with the East and West side of the property providing different experiences. All wildlife is in abundance and bird watchers rejoice, the forests and pastures are alive. This property is dispersed camping, you may choose any location within the 88 acres to set up your camp. A picnic table, fire ring, trash can and toilet are all provided to the site of your choosing.

Maple's Mountain Meadows 

Almost heaven on the banks of the Greenbrier River. Our campsites are on the historic Hinton-Alderson Airport and overlook the scenic Greenbrier River.  Only an hour and 15 minutes drive away from New River Gorge National Park. Look under Extras to see local amenities such as Kayaking, tubing, and canoeing.  We have 3 sites at the airport, Cub, Stearman, and Skyhawk. There are over 100 yards between the sites, so your privacy is guaranteed! Firewood is on-site for the firepit/grill.  The front of the tent faces the river, and the porch provides a scenic spot to watch the river flow!  The Greenbrier River is a great place to fish for smallmouth bass. You can obtain a fishing license online by going to https://www.wvhunt.com. The airport does not have fuel, but KLWB has fuel, rental cars, a 7000-foot runway, and is only 18 nautical miles away! Also close to the KLWB airport is a fabulous WV Brewery (Greenbrier Valley Brewery) and Distillery (Smooth Ambler). If you fly into camp, you can get a rental car at KLWB and easily get to white water rafting and other outdoor adventures at New River Gorge National Park. But if you want to stay local, there are several rafting companies that will provide you with a variety of watercraft, pick you up at the airport, and drop you off at a put-in location. They will meet you at the end of your float and return you to the airport! See the Extras tab for their names and numbers! Once you book your site, the camp keeper will email you information about local activities and services.

Guest Access:
This is an exclusive Tentrr Signature campsite. Tentrr partners with land owners to offer unique accommodations in beautiful outdoor spaces. Our campsites are off-the-grid which means they generally do not have access to electricity, wifi, or modern plumbing. Instead, they offer the chance to relax, unplug, and fully experience nature! 

Your Tentrr campsite includes a 10'x12' (120 square feet) safari-style canvas tent on a raised wooden platform. Inside the tent you'll find one queen bed or a queen-size bunk bed (see photos for the exact setup). The tent is big enough for the bed plus one or two extra sleeping bags on the floor. Aside from the canvas tent, campers can also use the extra 5-person pop-up dome tent that___s provided. You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, outdoor fire pit, 2 Tentrr Adirondack chairs, and a heating source to keep you warm and toasty at night. 

Group Camping: We welcome campers with larger parties, but the standard Tentrr setup only includes the canvas tent plus the additional pop-up dome tent. You may need and are encouraged to bring additional camping gear of your own if you plan on camping with a large party. 

Max Occupancy: This refers to the total number of campers allowed onsite with your reservation. You may have as many campers in your party up to the maximum limit that is set for the listing, but please note that the only bed provided as a standard amenity is the one set up inside the canvas tent. 

Toilets: Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet (we call it the Tentrr Loo). This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. To use, line the bucket with a CleanWaste Sani-Bag supplied at the camp prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. CleanWaste Sani-Bags use a NASA-developed gelling/deodorizing agent that helps prevent spills and keeps everyone safe and clean.

Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days.

What you should bring:
-S'mores supplies & any food you'd like to eat
-A cooler to keep your grub from spoiling 
-Lanterns and lighting

Interaction with Guests:
Upon check out, you should leave-no-trace of your stay and be sure your campsite is returned to its natural glory! While Tentrr does not charge a cleaning fee, we do expect campsites to be left how they were found. After you check out, take everything you brought in and be sure to leave your trash at the designated location on the property. 

If a CampKeeper submits an incident report after your stay that details evidence of trash or damage to the campsite or the CampKeeper___s property, Tentrr reserves the right to charge a minimum cleaning fee of $50. Just make sure to follow the Camper Manual posted at your campsite and you'll be set!

**Floating Heaven** is a treehouse site with a cabin. You can sleep in the small, zinc-roof-covered 'casita' or cabin, which can accommodate two adults and two (small) children. Or you can sleep on the deck platform in a hammock (we have one two rent), a tent (bring your own or rent our 2- or 4-person tents), or in a sleeping bag(s). One platform is 10 x 10 ft. and the other is 10 x 12 ft. Eight trees pass through and support the platforms, situated 21 feet off the ground. A sturdy low-riser step leads you up (no climbing necessary). An acre of heavily forested trees and a meadow surround the site, which is not a primitive campground (i.e, far removed from civilization) but insulated from the town on the ex-urban perimeter. The term, floating heaven, refers to the tree-anchor bolts that allow the platforms to "float" when the tree canopies (60 feet tall) move in the wind.

We'll get you going with some kindling and a few logs; lots of down branches and tree trunks on the property for making a nice bonfire, or you can use a small fire pit (e-stove) for a cozier setting. We have tables, chairs, a very slow drip-camp shower (unheated), a biodegradable commode (one just for urinating), and a full biodegradable unit on the ground. There is a charcoal grill for your use at no charge. . There is also a 3-outlet outlet for charging up your phones or using other electric devices. Ours is an ex-urban location; you are just two miles from Virginia Tech (5 minutes from Starbucks, and Mexican. pulled-pork, fast food, subs, and Thai restaurants) but you are nestled under a nice hardwood canopy. Its the best of all possible worlds.

**R U L E S**

1). Must arrive before sunset so we can show you around; after all, it is a treehouse and there are safety issues you should be apprised of.

2). ***You will forfeit your reservation if you arrive after 8 p.m without prior approval***.

3). While 6 people is the maximum, the standard book rate includes 4 campers; additional campers over 12 years old should pay $15 a person. Thus far, The Dyrt hasn't figured out how to pay for the fifth and sixth guests so be prepared to pay cash or via Venmo.

4). Parents must take care that their children obey the safety features. There are trails around the property that are nicely graded and gravel-covered.

5). All electronics and loud conversation ends after 9 p.m.; sounds carry in the valley.

6). We recycle: two wastebaskets exist for trash and another for recyclables (aluminum, glass, cardboard, plastic). Please carry wastebaskets up and leave on the driveway. We'll separate and dispose of them.

7). A camping ethic to which we adhere is that you take out of the forest what you bring into it; be considerate. This is not a trailer park. Leave trash at top of the driveway.

8) Don't walk down to the site in flip-flops (to avoid falling on the gravel; it is steep in places)

9\.) We are proudly LGBTQ-friendly.

10) If you are over 12-years-old and are **not vaccinated,** you must wear a mask when engaging with the owners and others outside your party.

Tentrr Signature Site - Glamp Greenbrier

The Goforth Mountain Homestead is nestled in the Appalachian Mountain range of wild and wonderful West Virginia! The property is 76 acres: approximately 80% forested; 10% pasture and meadow; 5% pond and surrounding land; and 5% residential homesteads. This camping site provides the opportunity to fully experience primitive camping; including the ability to catch, clean, and cook your own fish over a campfire of your making. If you enjoy free range hiking, journey to the top of the property where there is a nice view of East River Mountain (especially in autumn) and stay a while to enjoy birds and other wildlife. You are most likely to see the healthy deer and turkey population!

Nearby in the local community, visit Lotito City Park where you can hike, bike, play volleyball, take your kids to Yakkity-Yak playground, and board the seasonal ridge runner train around the park.
