At 6,643 feet, Clingmans Dome towers as the highest point in Tennessee and the third highest point east of the Mississippi River. Make sure to say hi to the hardcore hikers, many people hiking the entire Appalachian Trail will stop at this unforgettable lookout. 


A clear day at the dome observatory provides views as far as 100 miles. But explorers camping in Tennessee should plan on hiking their way up to the point, the roadway that leads to the observatory closes during inclement weather and from Dec. 1 to March 31 every year. 


If you’re camping with the kids and they’re looking for more occupation than your campsite offers, many of the natural attractions in Tennessee are also family friendly. Lookout Mountain is only minutes from Chattanooga and offers several world-famous sites like Rock City and the See Seven States point. 


All the mountain peak trails may leave the heights-averse camper less than enthused. But Tennessee has something for everyone. Also at Lookout Mountain, but plummeting beneath ground level, is where you’ll find Ruby Falls, the largest and deepest underground waterfall in the nation.

We have a 18' Tipi on a 20 x 24' deck, with heat and air conditioning. It is located on a beautiful cliff above the Clinch River.

If you love nature, you will love our place. We have a wide variety of birds that fly the river and the trees. See if you can get picture of the eagle that will soar at different times of the day. We have an abundance of wild life the property.

We have fun activities corn hole, fireside chats(with smore's),hiking, bird watching, Elrod Falls is close by, you can chop your own wood or purchase already cut. Must abide by fire bans by the state.

We have small kayaks to rent for the local rivers or bring your own, We are in progress of making it easier to get to the river. It is a hard hike down.

Amenities for the Tipi rental:

Air conditioning, heat, TV, internet, bath house has an outdoor shower that views the river, small fridge, washer/dryer, log lounger that can be a bed or couch, air mattress or coat available. board games.

Cook over your own fire pit or we have a propane/bbq grill to use

There are several different primitive sites you can rent with your tent or you can rent my small yurt or hammock.

We are an hour from Pigeon Forge and hour and halve from Bristol.

We are very close to Veteran's Overlook, they have a motorcycle rally every Memorial Day. We have several motorcycle trails that are gorgeous views around the area. We are working at getting a jeep or a small convertible for our customers to rent.

Glamping on the Clinch River LLC

Our farm is beautifully located adjacent to the Cumberland Gap National Historic Park. The White Rocks trailhead is within walking distance and is a very popular for both horseback riding and hiking. The campsite has a great view of the White Rocks and is located just a few minutes from Hwy 58 making it a convenient stop if traveling through. The campsite is equine friendly, bring your horse trailer and stay the night after a long ride.

This site has multiple trails that level up and down throughout which will have markers to guide you through your hiking experience. A generous private firepit that offers the ability to enjoy primitive cooking and Forest Bartop that allows you to have a drink, eat your meal while overlooking treetops and the edge of the ridge. Although in the distance some road noise will be heard here and there or the Farmers dog give a bark, the seclusion of this forest jungle and cool breeze that gently passes through the trees will drown out all the background noise. If you are looking for the next level up in a camping experience that allows for you to TRULY unplug, unwind and recenter, The Equilibrium Escape is your next booking. This is an exclusive site that books only 15 nights a month and when you are here, you are the ONLY campers. You have a private span of nearly 8 acres.

Please also note that your camp is actually on our Farm, therefore why we affectionately refer to it as 'The Farmers Forest'. We are true Farm to Table Cultivators that offer more than a point of sale or just production. We enjoy educating those who really want to learn how to manage livestock, compost, Forage for edibles and also have proper infrastructure. Private tours include a hike through the farm, meet and greets with our Animals with being informed of the care & husbandry of each stock and feel free to bring your camera, the Farmer here happens to be pretty good with photography. The memories from the Full experience of the Farmpsite you will not only enjoy, but also gain more practical knowledge to carry with you into the future. Please note, you're in the country. So cell service can be very spotty. US Cellular works great, AT&T and Teen Mobile sometimes can be 50/50.....Verizon will just plain not impress you.

Small spacious full hookup campground close to beautiful Norris Lake and Chuck Swann Wildlife Management Area which includes activities such as swimming, boating, hiking, etc.



We have five level campsites that range from forty-five feet in length to seventy feet in length. For small or larger RVs. We have full hook ups with water, sewer & electric (30amp & 50 amp).

We are a small Privately owned Campground that offers Full RV Hook UP and Tent Camping on the Beautiful Clinch River.

We also Offer a Full Amenities Cabin overlooking the River and 3 Rustic Cabins with no electricity or running water that are staged throughout the mountain for maximum privacy.



Riverside Campground and Cabins

The Wilderness Road Campground is located approximately 3 miles from the park visitor center off of Highway 58 in Virginia. It has 160 sites in a beautiful wooded setting.

20, 30, and 50 amp electrical hookups are available at 41 of the sites. Hot showers and potable water are located in the comfort stations. A dump station is located near the campground entrance. Campsites are easily accessed along paved loop roads. Many of the sites are large enough to accommodate an RV or trailer of up to 50 feet. Most sites require backing, site C4 is a pull-through site.

Wilderness Road Campground

The campground is located in Jonesville Virginia on a large creek in the woods. We have unlimited camping spots and can accommodate large groups. Picnic tables available. All fires must be inside the campground an inside a fire pit. Fresh spring water is provide but necessary to treat if used for drinking. Firewood can be provided for a small fee. No cutting of live trees are allowed but you can pick up dead limbs. We live on sight so should you need anything just ask. Enjoy your stay!!!
