What you should know
Site selection matters: At Shawnee State Park Campground, "We absolutely loved our stay at this park once we changed sites. We have a 35' TT and there was no way it was going to fit in the site we originally booked. Luckily it was opening weekend and the rangers were super accommodating!" advises Brittany V.
Road noise considerations: Some campgrounds experience highway sounds. At Choice Camping Court, "The trucks passing by on the highway can be loud at night so keep that in mind when choosing a spot if it would bother you. After a little while it was just background noise to us," explains Samantha Y.
Primitive camping preparation: Green Ridge State Forest offers truly rustic sites. "Totally primitive camping only, first come first serve for getting a site, but it's absolutely gorgeous and a true camping experience!" says Nancy N.
