Maumee Bay State Park Campground accommodates pets at designated sites with electric hookups for RVs, tents, and cabins. Dogs must remain leashed throughout the campground except at designated exercise areas. East Harbor State Park Campground allows pets year-round with specific pet-friendly loops and cabin options. The campground honors quiet hours which helps control barking issues. Many campers appreciate the fenced dog parks at several area campgrounds, including the KOA locations in Perrysburg and Monroe which provide dedicated spaces for off-leash play. Sterling State Park Campground features a designated dog beach where pets can swim and cool off during summer months.

Harbortown RV Resort offers concrete pads with full hookups and maintains a clean dog run area within walking distance of all sites. The dog park at Toledo East-Stony Ridge KOA is small but functional for letting pets stretch their legs after travel. Campers with larger dogs should consider Monroe-Toledo North KOA which charges an additional nightly pet fee but provides more spacious exercise areas. Trails around Sterling State Park provide paved paths ideal for dog walking, with easy access from campsites. Wildlife encounters are common in the area, so keeping dogs leashed on trails is essential for their safety. Most campgrounds require proof of current rabies vaccination, and veterinary services are available in Oregon and surrounding communities for emergency care. We really enjoyed our stay. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. Delivered our firewood right to our site. Lots of shade trees, beautiful well groomed trails for walking. Even a dog park, which our Golden Retriever really enjoyed.

      Wonderfully updated!

This campground has been wonderfully updated! The owners have added in an additional playground, dog park, newly paved roadways, newly redone building, a new pavilion, fire pit, and boat parking! We love camping here every chance we get! It is convenient to the turnpike and Cedar Point is just a few miles away!

      Sandusky-Bayshore KOA

      Nice campground

We have stayed here twice and will definitely be back. Both times at the end of September. Nice campground, friendly staff, store is well stocked for anything you may have forgotten. The playground and jump mat for kids is awesome. They usually have some kind of activity for kids on weekends. We travel with 2 large Labrador retrievers and love being able to let them play off leash in the kamp k9 dog park. The sites are a little close together and the train is loud but other than that, it’s a wonderful place to stay. Very close to Cedar Point.

We stayed at this campground in the group camp area. The sites are tight but do provide water and 30 amp electric.

The campground offers a pond for fishing , swimming pool , bounce pad , inflatable lake fun, dog park and mini golf.

Since we were there as a group event we didn’t use any of the extras but it all looked nice and clean plus lots of fun.

Cell coverage was spotty but you could usually get some kind of signal.

The campground has a lot of seasonal sites as well as primitive tent camping and standard rv sites.

Nice Campground for a Group Event

This is our second time camping here and both times were for a group camping event. For this type of event it’s a great park. We had a whole sector the event with water and electric sites.

If we were going to camp here on our own I am not sure I would like it since it’s mostly set up for seasonal campers. So there are no hiking trail and there is also a lot of golf cart traffic.

They do offer a swimming pool , pond with inflatable slides , dog park , bound pad and miniature golf.

      Harrison Lake State Park Campground

      Quiet place to get away

We have been here a few times. Really enjoy the secluded sites and the lake. It’s a small campground but it’s clean and quiet. Most sites don’t have water hookups but they do have electric. There isn’t much to do outside of the campground but there is a nice lake with canoe and kayak rentals. Very pet friendly and even has a dog beach.
