TravelerShowed up around 2:30-3 o’clock on a Sunday afternoon and most of the spots were already called for. Seems you gotta get there early if you want easy water access. Spots are mainly flat for tent camping. Some are able to get a camper as there were a couple spots that looked like full time camper people. I pulled into the first spot after driving all the way to the end, camping in my RoofNest. Was a beautiful place. Serine and quiet. Will be back for sure.
TravelerWe stayed here for our girls getaway(adults and children). We booked the Alice’s Queen Cottage and Alice’s White Bunny Cottage to accommodate all of us. It was the“best weekend ever” according the little girls and big girls alike! Shannon was the best host you could ask for and every detail of our stay was truly magical! I highly recommend booking a stay. Very close to town(10 minute drive) but far enough away to enjoy nature and tranquility. We will be booking all our future getaways here!! I love the attention to detail that makes everything come to life! My favorite activities were coffee by the stream every morning, relaxing in the hammock every evening, exploring the grounds(adventures), being around the 4 legged residents at the fairytale farm and our own tea party.
ScoutThis is a great place to camp, we enjoy staying here they also have some tent sites, wifi is a bit spotty which is to be expected since everyone is trying to use it so either use your hotspot or a mobile internet provider and you will be fine, dog park was well kept, playground has plenty of options for the little ones, the splash pad was a hit for our little ones as they enjoyed it, check in was a breeze as the office folks are very informative as to the surrounding place’s you can visit all really at a relatively short drive…your close to your neighbor but not to close “if that makes since”….will definitely stay here again
ScoutMy dad and I visited in may and had a great time. Lots of bathrooms that were all clean. The grounds were very green and shaded, each site had a flat mulch spot for the tent, a firepit, and a picnic table. Very close to lots of different trails. Only problem is that there are a lot of sites and you’re pretty close to your neighbor (like your tent is 10 feet away and usually no brush between).
GuideSites are big and level. Power hook ups if you need them and plenty of shade. The 3.5 mile trail around the lake is a good little walk for the dogs. Highly recommend this campground.
ScoutWe were recommended to stay at site 25 by the worker at check in. Very steep and unlevel roads; especially when leaving. Our camper came in contact with the side of our bed and tailgate multiple times. In the end we suffered a hole busted in our front cap from it hitting the side of the truck, we damaged the side of our truck bed and broke every support on our rear ladder. Upon check out we advised of damages and were only met with an“I’m sorry.” 10/10 do not recommend if you own a fifth wheel or even a low riding bumper pull.
ScoutStart with, campground has great views of the smokes. Getting to it can be tricky as TN-68 has steep grades and decent curves but is doable for all but the absolute longest if rigs. That said, I was looking for a campground that would be well suited to a motorcyclist and the sites are fairly loose gravel and roads are fairly compacted but still gravel. With the steep grade to get to the lower sites, not the best suited for being on 2 wheels, but it is passable. Because sites are loose gravel, leveling can be a challenge is your rig does not auto level. Cell service with T-Mobile not existent. They have WiFi but not very fast.
TravelerWe stayed in the parking lot in our small rig. (Under 26 ft) we had our super quiet generator running and had no issues. Stayed overnight and then went on the 5 mile hike to see the different water falls. Definitely a cool spot. Have to pay $5 per day. Grab a slip and fill it out. No phone service otherwise you could pay using the app.
