Due to its proximity to Niagara Falls, it is no surprise that HTR Niagara Campground (formerly Branches of the Niagara Campground) is a popular camping destination. The campground is located just a few miles from the falls, one of the world's most famous natural wonders. HTR Niagara itself is nestled in a wooded area near the Niagara River, providing a peaceful and secluded setting for camping. Campers can fish in the river, kayak on nearby lakes (not too close to the falls, please), and hike through the surrounding forests. The campground also has a heated swimming pool and plenty of room to throw down a blanket for a picnic or go on a leisurely bike ride.

Unforgettable Niagara Falls is 7 miles away; Grand Island hosts two State Parks, bike paths, fishing in the Niagara River or two of the five Great Lakes, or try your luck at several nearby casinos.

The City of Good Neighbors - Buffalo, New York - is a short drive away and boasts interesting attractions: Albright Knox Art Gallery; Olmsted's Delaware Park; Frank Lloyd Wright's Darwin Martin House; see who's buried in Forest Lawn Cemetery; ride or stroll the bike paths along Niagara River or Great Lakes Seaway Trail. Explore Silo City and the Naval & Military Park on Buffalo's waterfront. Eat chicken wings at the place where it began - the Anchor Bar. Visit Father Baker Museum at Our Lady of Victory Basilica. Sports? Buffalo's got them; lacrosse, football, baseball, and hockey. Back at the KOA, fish at the two catch/release ponds; rent canoes, paddle boats and banana-bikes; enjoy the game room, basketball, playgrounds, pet playground and two pools (one heated). Games and planned activities take place in season (Memorial Day Weekend-Labor Day Weekend).

We look forward to helping you make your camping trip an experience you will never forget. Niagara Falls/Grand Island KOA invites you and your family to our campground.

Camping for more than three nights requires a permit from a Forest Ranger.

Camping is allowed at 14 designated tent sites along Kriedeman Forest Road that are available on a first come first serve basis and which are marked with a yellow camp disk (see picture at right). These sites are numbered and have a primitive fire ring. There are no out house facilities. The Kriedeman Forest Road area receives heavy camping activity during the summer months, so camping is allowed only at designated sites to reduce environmental impact to the area. Parking is allowed at the entrance to each site but not beyond that.

On other parts of the property, individuals may set up camp at any location which is at least 150 feet from water bodies, streams, roads or trails. Camping for more than three nights or in a group of ten or more requires a permit from a Forest Ranger.

Where cool lake breezes, spectacular sunsets and close proximity to County-wide events, places of interest, great food, from both local restaurants and a variety of farm-fresh produce stands make it “the place” to stay this summer!

The Park will be open from May 27, 2021 (Memorial Day weekend) through September 6, 2021 (Labor Day).

Reservations may be made for nightly, weekly, or even seasonal camping visitors. There is a playground for the kids and an easy-living attitude for the adults. Small boat access to Lake Erie and a pavilion for lakeside parties make your stay one to remember. You might even catch a glimpse of the eagles that nest nearby!
