Spacious sites: Campers appreciate the roominess at several campgrounds. "The sites are fairly large and spaced out. They were working on extending the campgrounds to make more campsites when I stayed," mentions T K. about Big Bend of the Colorado, highlighting the ongoing improvements to accommodate more visitors.

Winter is prime season: November through March offers the most comfortable camping conditions with temperatures between 65-85°F. According to GA from Katherine Landing South Campground, "My trailer is a 31 ft tt somewhat windy but trees break up the wind. 24 a night, 12 with senior access. People stay up to 30 days."
Nocturnal wildlife: Local wildlife may visit campsites after dark. "Keep your food in containers because they have skunks and raccoons. I know crazy. Little fact the entire Laughlin area has them near the water and hotels because they want a quick meal," warns Brittney C.
