ScoutMyself, my wife and one of my best buddies came here after looking on The Dyrt. It’s a beautiful spot, we are currently here in warmer weather, but surrounded by snow. Theres plenty of woods/dead things to burn meaning the fire never goes out. It is very clean and an overall beautiful area. We are very happy we decided to take a visit here and definitely will be coming back. I highly recommend.

You can rent kayaks, paddle boards or bicycles from local vendors or hike on our paved and unpaved City trail system as you explore the area. You can pick agates, go fishing, or boating or visit one of our local shops and museums. All sites have a picnic table and fire ring. Campground has bathrooms, shower facilities, and Wi-Fi.
A little close to hwy 61 so be prepared for road noise.
GuideVery pretty and secluded! It was pretty buggy and ticks were bad, but that's to be expected. Bog/marsh was beautiful with some wildlife and was generally a very pleasant place to camp. Had a bear box as well which was great! It did rain quite a bit while I was there.

Some sites are going to be difficult for bigger rigs to get into so it may be worth calling ahead for site recommendations from the owner. The campground has an island you can take a wooden bridge over too that offers some fishing spots and a nice little walking trail. Fire ring and picnic table provided.
*I did not make the reservation. The person who did told me they paid extra to select a specific site, otherwise the owner picks. When they showed up they were told to go to a site other than what they had reserved (and paid extra for). This site did not work for the length of the 5th wheel (~32ft) and truck to be able to back in with how the trees were, a large boulder or 2, and a dumpster or outhouse (I forget which). So they told the office about this and they were luckily able to be moved to another site that worked. This was during Grandma's Marathon weekend so finding another place to stay would have been impossible and this was a 3 to 4 hour drive for them. I was camping close by and came for a visit to get me and my dog out of my tent while it rained all day.
Legendsuch a fun backpack site! The hike in was muddy and buggy as there was quite a bit of rain in the weeks prior to our camping trip. Picnic table, fire ring, and bear locker provided. Site offers great vies of a little beaver pond where you may get to see some wildlife! Site was able to fit 4 backpacking tents, most of which were 2 person size tents, so it is good for a small group. Private latrine a short walk into the woods.
LegendAmazing state park; one of my favorites! I try to come here every year, but it is hard to snag a spot. Love the hiking trails and how accessible the waterfall is. Campground has bathrooms and showers as well as potable water. Firewood is available at the state park office as well as any items you may have forgotten to bring such as miscellaneous toiletries and some food items. Highly recommend this park.
ScoutMy boyfriend and I went camping here in October. it was very peaceful the first night, got rained on the second night. We set up at night but our neighbors campers we supper friendly and helped us set up camp. Owners take very great care of the place and stay on site!
