We really enjoyed our stay. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. Delivered our firewood right to our site. Lots of shade trees, beautiful well groomed trails for walking. Even a dog park, which our Golden Retriever really enjoyed.
Very private sites. I was surprised at how well each site was hidden from the others. Restrooms can be a bit far from some sites. Nice little dog park by the beach too.
Nice Park Nice park for full timers. Large spots to accommodate big rigs and kids. Full hook ups. Cell service great with Verizon hotspot(22u, 20d, 38ms and AT&T cell(27d, 20u, 27ms). Playgrounds everywhere for the kids. Giant dog park and ponds. Pool was closed. Just needs more grass. Our spot was really patchy and resulted in a lot of mud. Great campground with polite and helpful staff. Don’t pass this one up.

We have been here a few times. Really enjoy the secluded sites and the lake. It’s a small campground but it’s clean and quiet. Most sites don’t have water hookups but they do have electric. There isn’t much to do outside of the campground but there is a nice lake with canoe and kayak rentals. Very pet friendly and even has a dog beach.

Bathrooms were dated and we arrived Monday after Labor Day so I can't judge them. They had a FULL HOUSE on Labor Day per the front gate. I was very impressed there was no garbage at campsites and picked up very well.

Nice lakes for swimming and can take your pet as well! Big playground and nice bathrooms

Kayaking on River Raisin: River Raisin Canoe Livery & Campground provides on-site boat rentals for riverside camping. Noise levels: Many campgrounds in the area experience traffic or train noise due to proximity to transportation routes. At Detroit/Ann Arbor KOA, campers note varied experiences: "Pretty views of the lake from the lake sites. We have camped here for years. Love the trail around the lake. You have a up north feel in the middle of Ypsilanti," reports Debra B., though she cautions about drainage issues.

Bathroom accessibility: When camping with children, consider proximity to facilities. "The tent area has to walk thru all the rv area to reach the bathrooms...a hike," notes Susan J. at Wayne County Fairgrounds RV Park, highlighting a common concern for families with young children.
Budget considerations: Most campgrounds charge extra for activities beyond basic camping. At Indian Creek, Kourtney D. observed, "you have to pay extra for everything including putt putt. You have to buy your golf balls," though she still rated the overall experience positively due to the "family owned and operated" atmosphere.
Site spacing: KC Campground provides full hookup sites with adequate spacing for larger rigs. "Nice quite camping. Something to do with kids dairy. Bathroom ok," notes David V., indicating the peaceful atmosphere despite family-friendly activities.
Seasonal considerations: Wayne County Fairgrounds RV Park closes seasonally. "I arrived for a 2 week stay in the area on 11/12. I discovered this campground was closed for the season," reports Mike M., reminding travelers that most facilities in the area shut down between November and April.
