      Indianhead Resort

      Older, run down campground

      We stayed a couple nights at the beginning of the season to open up the camper and while there was still obvious cleaning and grounds work to be done before peak season, the age and condition of the facilities was worn, tired, and needing a deep clean. Roads were pretty rutted in places, and it appears that most of the sites are seasonal occupants rather than transient visitors. Rates are cheaper for full hookups than many other places, but you get what you pay for.

      Gibson Hill RV Park

      Like Our Summer Home Base

      This is our first season keeping our camper here, and we’ve really enjoyed settling into the campground. Our site has plenty of trees around it, and it feels like we’re actually getting away even though we can easily come and go throughout the summer. We’ve met a lot of friendly people, enjoyed the live entertainment, and spent plenty of evenings just sitting around the fire. It has been a really comfortable place to make our summer home base.

      USCG Cape Cod RV

      As expected except…

      This was camping in a meadow with 4 other campers. The sites are wide open but well- spaced. FHU were fine. Unfortunately, the field hadn’t been mowed in quite a while so it was truly a meadow. Free laundry at Wings Inn was busy but convenient. It was nice to access the pool at the rec center.

      Marthas Vineyard Family Campground

      Just like we remembered

      Great family campground.  The place is very clean.  NIce to have both indoor and outdoor showers.  The store has plenty of useful items. Staff is friendly and helpful.  They have lots of activities and concerts for families.  The drive around in a golf cart in the evenings checking on campers and making sure everyone is abiding by the quiet hours. We stayed in a one room cabin with confortable beds.

      Strawberry Park Resort Campground

      They will steal your money!

      Do not go here! Worst customer service i have ever experienced. I booked online through expedia. Paid in full for a cabin. They took my money no problem. Then emailed me the cabin was not available and to contact them, off site, to get a different camp site. One i didn't want or even ask for. It all sounded sketchy to me so I told them to just refund the money to me and I'll go somewhere else. The person emailing me instead of refunding the money told me to contact the office to get a new site. I responded with I would just like a refund please. They ghosted me. So I call the site to get my money, which is not a small amount remind you close to$500, and the first person I talk to hangs up on me before I can say anything. The second person starts blaming me for booking through expedia and not them. Because there inability to use third party websites is my fault? After all that the apparently only person able to give refunds conveniently isn't there but would call me back. Was told I would definitely get my money back... suprise they never called. Luckily expedia has protection and I can get my money back through them. Save yourself a headache and stay away! If the whole place is run by the people booking I would fear for my children going there

      Burlingame State Park Campground

      Overall good place for family

      Good family park. Many new amenities. Bathhouse parks. The arcade is horrible. Dumping stations nicely set up. Campsites are ok. Ours was uneven with really large routes.

      River Bend Campground

      Too close too old

      We arrived on a Saturday afternoon and they did seem have alot going on. It was Christmas in July. There was a live band and a few food trucks. The campsites are onto of each. Way too close for us. The roads that lead to the sites are way to narrow. I tow a 27ft travel trailer and my tires were off the road on both sides. The campsite itself was nice. No complaints there. Pool was gross. Mini golf was horrible. All the wood was rotted. We won't be back.

      Fort Getty Campground

      Great location!

      Fort Getty campground was in an incredible location to Jamestown and with many things to do in the park itself. The tent sites are open field style and some groups can get big so be ready for that. We had tent site 6 and it was tucked back in its own little area which was an awesome surprise. Overall we had a quick stay and everyone we encountered was friendly, bathrooms are older but a short walk from tent area. The access the Jamestown and the surrounding areas and views is what makes this place totally worth it!

      Mashamoquet Brook Campground — Mashamoquet Brook State Park

      Cozy Rustic Campground

      Due to the heat wave, I opted not to spend the night, but we did roll through and check out the area. First thing we noticed is how close and open the sites were, with a few exceptions. I attached photos of the more secluded sites I plan to choose next time. Site 49 is what I had reserved and it was large and partially secluded. The bathroom buildings are boarded up across the campground and state park with port o potties in front. I was not eager to check those out… a bucket started feeling like the safer option lol It was quiet but on the more secluded sites, there was ample road noise and you could see the road from some sites. I didn’t get a chance to look for the walkway to the park and river, but I plan to next time. The state park and river nearby was beautiful and quiet and serene with smattering Fourth of July picnics. Overall, I plan to return here when the weather is more cooperative and my car camper is better equipped :)
