Best RV Parks & Resorts near Boynton Beach, FL

Several RV parks surround Boynton Beach, Florida, offering year-round accommodations for motorhome travelers. Del Raton RV Park in nearby Delray Beach provides full hookup sites with 50 amp service and concrete patios, though spaces run tight with limited room for awnings. Juno Ocean Walk RV Resort features big-rig friendly sites with 30/50 amp electrical connections, water, and sewer hookups on level cement pads. South Bay RV Campground, located west of Boynton Beach, maintains spacious sites with full hookups and both 30 and 50 amp service options. Aztec RV Resort in Margate caters exclusively to Class A motorhomes with meticulously maintained sites. "The sites are laid out perfect. Easy to backend. Concrete pads, gravel fire pit and covered picnic tables," noted one RV camper about the well-designed infrastructure at nearby St. Lucie South.

Most RV parks in the region require reservations, particularly during winter months when snowbirds flock to South Florida. Cell service is generally strong throughout the area, with reviewers reporting 3-5 bars on major carriers. Pet policies vary between properties - Encore Highland Woods Travel Park and Paradise Island RV Resort welcome pets, while others maintain restrictions. Dump stations are available at most parks, though John Prince Park Campground allows long-term stays with full hookups at reasonable rates. RV travelers should note that some parks have tight interior roads that can challenge larger rigs. One camper cautioned about Yacht Haven Park: "The park is too tight, and the staff too poorly trained to be tolerable. Even though it's literally 10 minutes west of our house, and by far the most convenient location for us to stay." Traffic noise affects several campgrounds near major highways, particularly those close to I-95.

West Palm Beach-Lion Country Safari KOA

    5 summer months

So, we were here a bit long term in the summer. Staying here in the summer is as bad as being in Vermont in winter. You need a reason to be there and sadly we did.
First off, waking up to lions roaring and bonobos scream in the morning was freaking amazing! I will treasure this memory for the rest of my life. The facilities are aging but are clean. The ladies in the front office were awesome and accommodating. We purchased a new RV while there and they had no issues moving us and making sure we were good with moving up from a 30 Amp to a 50 Amp site. At $99/night it is expensive and by not having the facilities of a KOA Holiday and being so far away from the Highway as a KOA Journey I can't give it 5 stars but, it is damn close.

    Beautiful getaway

The staff at check-in was the best. I talk with several over my 5 day stay sharing ideas and stories. Very helpful. The spots are laid out perfect. Easy to backend. Concert pads, gravel fire pit and covered picnic tables. No bad views i was in 3 different sites during my stay. Grounds are kept clean, cut, trim and edged. Reception good on t.v. Antenna and dish satellite. No wifi on sites but free wifi at reception area. Great river views. 3 bars on T-mobile. Your right at the locks so watch the boats pass from the gulf to the Ocean. Horseshoe pits. Clean showerhouse. Tent camping is primitive m. All RV sites have water 30 and 50 amp service. Sites on river will hold 45’ class A. Close to shopping. All sites have 30/50 amp service and water. Sewer is not available. Dump station near exit on way out,  Because of the cleanest of the campground and the friendly staff I rate this a five. they make up for the only downfall of being allowed to dump once per week or there is a fee of $20.00.  there is no charge for a honey wagon dump.  I would assume the extra fee is to encourage water management since there has been issues with algae growth in the waterways.

Pine Grove Campground — Jonathan Dickinson State Park

Pleasant area. Book far in advance!

There are limited options for affordable camping in this part of Florida, so plan to book your stay here a while in advance as it fills up. We are lucky to snag two nights here on our way to Miami. Lots of hiking options and some really nice views. The RV park has full hookups and is almost completely filled with older adult campers high end big rigs. Clean facilities and level sites though.

    John Prince Park Campground

County Park Campground you will want to visit

This Palm Beach County campground and park offers you a lot of things to do. Miles of biking paths, fishing and paddling on Lake Osborne, some hiking trails, fitness pavilion and walking trail... all this with short and long term rv/tent camping spots ONLY 5 miles from the beach. The campground is well maintained, with paved sites for any size vehicle. Short term camping spots have the best views and most are situated on the lake. It is an older campground so the bathrooms are not state of the art but they are clean and functional. This location is also close to 1-95. Our video gives you more info and you can always go to our website to connect with our Facebook/instagram and YouTube platforms. www.travylcouple.com

Pine Grove Campground — Jonathan Dickinson State Park

    RV Tent and Cabin Camping

This park is a haven for bikers and beach going snorkelers! There are 9 miles of mountain biking with trail skill levels ranging from green to black diamond, rated like ski slopes. They are lined with crushed shell and gravel which makes them flowing and fast! There’s also a pump track and skills practice area. There are 2 miles of paved bike trails as well.

Blowing Rocks Preserve beach is about 10 min away on the other side of the intercostal. It is a spectacular site! Limestone cliffs line the beach, and a hard bottom reef lines the shores making for incredible snorkeling! The waters are generally a deep turquoise and crystal clear!

There are two Campground loops. One in the front of the park, mainly for RV as there’s no trees or shade between sites. Because of the lack of trees and the location, these sites get the daily sea breezes! Bath houses and really clean and plenty of them. These lots are huge, with gravel pads.

Water, electric and sewer at every site. Fire rings, picnic tables and posts to hang trash or clothes lines also at each site.

the River Loop is in the back of the park. It has trees and shade but thecsites are a bit more like keyhole lots, very close together and smaller in size. These sites do not get the breezes as they are quite far into the park.

There is river access in the back of the park, with a swimming area, river cruises and canoe rentals. There are hiking trails through the park, and a tower perched atop of the tallest sand dune in the area allows for awesome 360 views. Horse trails and guides horse rides are offered. A playground and historical areas are also there to keep you busy.

We generally stay in the months of May and June as the ocean is quite cold in the spring months.

It gets hot, it’s Florida. There are bugs, it’s camping in nature. Bug spray is a plus, but strong fans seem to be the best way to keep your site cool, and big free.

Guide to Boynton Beach

RV sites near Boynton Beach, Florida provide convenient access to South Florida attractions while offering varying levels of privacy and amenities. The region experiences average winter temperatures in the 70s°F, making it particularly popular from November through March when northern snowbirds seek warmer conditions. Traffic noise levels vary significantly between parks, with those farther west generally providing quieter surroundings than properties adjacent to major highways.

What to do

Beach access: Juno Ocean Walk RV Resort is located just across from the fishing pier with convenient beach access. "Great location and just across the street from the fishing pier. Our site was all pavers and had ample space for our 34ft travel trailer," noted one visitor.

Hiking trails: Sites near Lake Okeechobee's levee system offer walking opportunities with scenic views. A camper at South Bay RV Campground mentioned, "Site up against levee to Lake Ocochobee. Nice place to walk and enjoy sights."

Local dining: Many campgrounds are within reach of local restaurants. A South Bay visitor recommended, "Make sure and eat at the Airport Diner...best food in town."

What campers like

Clean facilities: Campgrounds in the region generally maintain high cleanliness standards. A camper at South Bay noted the park was "Super quiet. Impeccably clean!"

Convenient shopping: The proximity to stores and services ranks high with visitors at Del Raton RV Park, where one guest appreciated "Good location. Lots around for anything you might need."

Strong internet connectivity: Many parks offer reliable WiFi for remote work. A camper at Juno Ocean Walk mentioned: "Our spot had over 90 digital channels of TV service and private (super fast) WIFI... ATT and Tmobile service 5 bars."

Pool access: Swimming facilities add value during hot weather. A visitor to Juno Ocean Walk appreciated their "pool, hot tub, laundry, tennis, bocce, playgrounds."

What you should know

Space limitations: Sites at some parks can be tight, particularly for larger rigs. A visitor at Paradise Island RV Resort cautioned, "3 campers and two RVs crammed into overflow. NO full hookups as indicated over the phone."

Lighting issues: Some campgrounds have bright overnight lighting. A South Bay camper noted, "Had to sleep with pillow on face as there are bright lights that stay on all night."

Traffic noise: Road noise affects several parks. A recent reviewer at Grice's RV Park reported, "Not worth staying here very close to very noisy road."

Seasonal availability: The winter high season significantly limits availability. Plan to book several months in advance for stays between December and March.

Tips for camping with families

Pool amenities: Look for parks with recreational facilities. A camper at Paradise Island mentioned: "The pool is nice! Great time! Recommend."

Playground access: Several parks feature play areas for children. A visitor to Juno Ocean Walk RV Resort highlighted their "playgrounds, and it's walking distance to the pier, the beach, a large Publix grocery store and drug store, restaurants, and more."

Pet policies: Restrictions vary between properties. A traveler to Breezy Hill RV Resort learned this the hard way: "This park was rated as pet friendly in the TT system, turns out it isn't. Now with under 2 weeks to go, we need to make new reservations."

Cultural considerations: Some parks have distinct cultural groups. At Breezy Hill RV Resort, a visitor observed: "Very large population of french speaking Canadians. Most don't/won't speak english. Hard to make any friends if you don't speak french."

Tips from RVers

Dump station access: Limited dump facilities make park planning crucial. A Paradise Island camper noted, "The dumpsite is between the office and the fence. This requires you to back into position or drive down a narrow path and make 3 tight turns."

Security features: Gated access increases safety at certain properties. One Del Raton visitor appreciated that staff are "very kind, answer all your questions etc. the facilities are clean, the guests are nice and quiet."

Site surfaces: Concrete pads provide stability advantages. At Juno Ocean Walk, a camper found "Nice paved roads with meticulously kept grounds and flat cement pads."

Neighborhood conditions: The surrounding area affects camping experience. A guest at Breezy Hill RV Resort cautioned, "It was not located in the best neighborhood."
