TravelerThe host were very responsive to questions and communication. We had a day delay due to a mechanical problem. They completely understood and made our funds available for another date of our choice based on availability. We were able to stay there the next evening.
Very concise directions on how to get into the property after the office is closed. We backed right up to the waters edge practically. The people that dock here were so friendly and welcoming. The pool is very clean as are the bathrooms and showers.
We feel very safe & secure staying here. Ice is available; cash only.
We stayed one night on the way to Cape Cod, but we will definitely be back in the near future.
I look forward to seeing what’s in the marina store before we leave.
ScoutWe thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Crockers Boatyard. Very friendly and helpful staff, great location, security gated after hours. Had water and 50 amp hookup. Very convenient to many attractions and restaurants. We ate at Norms Diner, Captain Scott’s and Paul’s Pasta. Easy access from I95. Would highly recommend.
ScoutEasy check in right at front gate, Didn’t even have to get out of the truck. Was handed map and daily activity list. Lots of things for kids to do. We watched a magician and played pickle ball on the courts. Kids had fun on the many play grounds. It was a bit too cold outside but the pools and hot tubs looked nice. Splash pad was clean and used by kids. Lots of roads to bike on and walk dogs. Live band on Saturday night was nice. Site was wide and allowed me to easily back in. Near perfect level. New fence poles show renovations were consistently done. Two easy dump stations with nice clean area.
ScoutLoved watching the boats being moved into the water. Close to everything we wanted to see in New London. Heavy traffic on the street but quieted down at night.
LegendWe stayed at Aces High RV Park for a long holiday weekend to visit with our daughter in Connecticut. We paid$150/night for a‘Premium Waterfront FHU Site’ on the lake. A bit pricey, but really nice site including level concrete pad and patio, clean and well-maintained utilities, and beautiful view.
THINGS I LIKED:

Utility hookups were in great condition and everything worked as it should (other parks should come and take a look at how to do this right).
Beautiful pond and natural setting with lots of ducks, geese, chickens, and wild birds.
20-minutes drive to Mystic and all the touristy stuff to see and do.
The whole park is quiet and nicely-maintained. You might say that it should be for$150 per night, but we all know that not all parks are- even at higher prices.

ScoutWe had an incredible stay at Douglas Forest RV Resort! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how peaceful and well-maintained everything was. The RV sites are spacious and easy to navigate, with full hookups and strong Wi-Fi— a big plus for us since we work remotely on the road. What really sets this place apart is the location. You’re literally steps away from Douglas State Forest, which made morning hikes and evening strolls absolutely magical. It’s pet-friendly too, and our dog loved the wooded trails and open areas. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and the camp store had everything we needed. Even though the recreation area is still being built, the amenities already in place more than made up for it. We’re already planning our next trip for summer when the pool opens! If you’re looking for a relaxing spot that blends nature with convenience, look no further. Douglas Forest RV Resort is a true hidden gem!
