Oakzanita is 4000 ft elevation up in the San Diego Mountains. Sites are mainly off roads that are narrow and may be hard to maneuver. Many sites are without sewer however on certain days a honey wagon may be available for $25.00. Park is about 40 minutes from Jillian. Park is okay but nothing…
There has never been tent camping allowed here. There is RV or trailer camping but no tent and no bathrooms here. Make sure you check the water quality since it can be an issue at times since it is near the Mexico border.
Beautiful Lake view. Site is well maintained with full facilities. Highly recommend.
Beach views possible on West row, semi private with greenery around spots, staff was friendly and helpful, beach access is a long staircase. Very affordable but no Wi-Fi and Verizon signal was bad for us at least. Quite a bit of noise from the road and train if you are on the east row.
This campground sits adjacent to the Pacific in Cardiff. Amazing sunsets and very popular with the surfers. Try to get an ocean view site further from Highway 101 so you don’t hear the traffic as much. This was a challenge for us because many of the ocean view sites were empty during our stay but…

Military affiliated member campground. Perfect for what I needed. A home with a view. Laundry is $1.00 each, Perfect
Nice little county campground. Clean and well maintained. Some excellent hikes nearby.
This is my fourth snowbird winter season in San Diego, with clean restrooms, laundry, jacuzzi and a pool to relax in the warm winter weather. Kid and pet friendly with plenty of playgrounds for the kids and Hiking nearby, with all the beach scenery within a 20 minute drive. Fresh water fishing…
Fabulous campground. Well tAken care of by county rangers. 25 minutes to everywhere in SD.
Limited 30/50 amp full-hookups. Large rigs, beware. access roads are narrow, hilly, AND curvy. But, it CAN be done. Coming in from the south on Hwy 79 (the only road in) warns that 40' vehicles and longer, are prohibited. But, you can make it to the camp. The entrance is a hair-pin turn (from…
It seemed a little tight, but it’s very convenient right off the freeway and the grounds are well-maintained and very beautiful.
This is our second trip here. We have thoroughly enjoyed both trips. It is quiet and clean. The vast majority of people here are friendly and respectful. We have only stayed in the sites with hookups. There seems to be a bit more noise and hustle n bustle in the tent only areas.
There is good…
Recommend site 26! Beautiful, quiet, and a nice view of the lake.
This campground has clean bathrooms and good spaces with great distance between sites. Nice facilities. Beautiful drive to get to it. Reservation is a must and it's well worth it. Pay shower though, but the water got very hot (on a cold night it was perfection)
I was backpacking the PCT and needed to stop for water. This is great little gem hidden in the mountains. Clean and well maintained with large shady oaks.
