Great place

We had a great family weekend at this place. So beautiful staff was very friendly

Amazing but not level

This campground was a great unexpected surprise! The kid at the check-in station is just the sweetest! We were told to go look around and pick out a site and just go back and tell them… Well the campground is HUGE and it took a while in the RV to go all the way to the end (Catfish) where they suggested, back to let them know, and then back to set up camp. But after all that we got to sit back and relax and watch the beautiful sunset!

there are a couple oddities here though - for an RV campground there is a ton of ground that is not level. Pretty much only the sites right along the water are level because you're basically on the beach.  We lucked out with one of those and no one else around because of the holiday/covid.

The lake is no-touch, so no dipping your toes in, no letting the dog splash, nothing. But a couple people were fishing.

It was so quiet and peaceful that I couldn't imaging a better last night to our vacation! I would think in normal circumstances, though, this place must be crazy and a site on the water means sharing your beautiful spot with anyone who wants to walk right by. Although you may feel like you get your own beach, you don't.

There are two dump stations but for some reason there is a plastic ring that prevents the hose from going in the ground so its a bit gross.  There's propane at the market where the front entrance is.

It felt like this is a family-run campground and I mean that in the best way!

Kids had a blast

We took my nephews here and they cried when they had to leave. It was a lot of fun for us. The boys fished alllll day long and actually had a few catches. The people who were camping here were really nice! They seemed to love their campsites and highly recommended it.

Nice

This location is very nice however it’s always crowded. If you’re a friendly person who doesn’t mind mingling, you’ll love it here!!

Beautiful

Beautiful view. Clean campground. Extra nice staff. Restrooms clean. Quite. Only problems were bees and no shade. Had a great time.

Great getaway

Camped and fish there for 3 days it was perfect, got away from the fires and smoke of L.A. to a quiet and private camp ground. No one around us and it was perfect. Will be going back real soon for sure, it was 15 of us and no one else. The lake was jumping with fish and again very quiet

Expensive and not the best location

Tried going this weekend with my husband and dog and was amazed on the amount of people camping on this site. Spaces are way to close together, with very little shade from trees. After learning that there is no access to the lake for swimming due to algae and other safety reasons and no spaces were open even after we paid we decided to leave. Site lists that the alega is harmful to humans and dogs, this should be a red flag.

Location did have tables, fire pits and other activities like volleyball, basketball and frisbee golf. It’s a park where you should picnic.

Good site for families

Really enjoyed our time here tons of camping sites to choose from! Bathrooms close not very clean but lots of hot water!! Each site has a fire pit, water and a picnic table(old). People do live there but there are so many sites you don’t need to be near them, met a few “interesting” ones… they have a store and cafe but closed Tuesday and Wednesday.

What sold us was the lake, it’s not clean at all but we caught a TON of fish. It’s catch and release due to an agley problem, no swimming. Every time we put our line in we got a fish it’s crazy. You do have to pay and $8 fee to fish which is across the street from the campground. Definitely drive but you can walk it’s just a painful walk!

Will go back!

Peaceful and family friendly campsite

Beautiful and peaceful place to camp around the lake. We were at the Westshore campsite, which seemed for me the best ( the two others are lone pines for RV and tents and Chambers for tents and cabins) Westshore has a dozen campsites with direct lake view (not allowed to swim in the lake though). Picnic table and barbecue available for each site and additional picnic tables around the lake. The sites are separated by walls for more privacy. Bathrooms available near the parking maybe 100m near the campsites. No showers though. There's a nice restaurant with a lake view. There's also a mini market shop and a bait shop. Boat rental available, but all reserved already in the morning though. I think a lot of people come fishing for the day.

We had campsite #49 which is not the best one, because we only had one wall separating us from the other campers, instead of two walls. So we had the sun directly hitting on us early morning whilst the others were still in the shade. So if you can choose, I wouldn't recommend the #49. The other sites are fine.

Nice Views!!

We were in squirrel camp which is on a peninsula, we were surrounded by water it was nice. Only complaint super close to your neighbors! Your neighbors sewer line is by your front door 😂🤷🏻‍♀️.. coming back for sure!
