    Riverside City Park

    Good overnight stop location

Free campsite with water and dump station, both located at the restroom. No designated campsites, just find a spot along either side of the driveway fence and parallel park.

    Casper KOA

    All around great place

We enjoyed this spot tremendously. Overlooking the whole city of Casper in Barr nunn, WY. Nice hookups easy in and out, clean laundry, pool and 2 dog parks are well lit and clean. The putt putt was a great addition for the kids. Walking distance to the Hangar Restaurant was really cool and had a little arcade for kids while you eat. It really felt like the break in travel we needed! We had antelope visiting every night. Really neat place to stay.

    Guernsey State Park Campground

    Lake Recreation

Nice for boating and swimming activities. Stayed at Sandy point loop. This loop has about 1/2 mile on gravel road. Sites were nicely spread out for a major CG. Most near water had trees. Ones in middle not much shade.

Esterbrook Campground — Medicine Bow Routt NFS & Thunder Basin Ng

    Peaceful hideaway

Arrived in the dark and awoke to discover a beautiful campground tucked in the pines. Excellent hammocking opportunities. The vault toilet bathroom was seriously the cleanest I have ever seen. Did not get to spend nearly enough time in this amazing place.

Two Moon — Glendo State Park

    Nice spot

Nice shady spots at this campground. Some have views of the reservoir but we are up on a cliff so no water access. The birding here is amazing and hiking is plentiful. It can be noisy if neighbors are running generators but otherwise very nice.

    Riverside City Park

    Good for a Night

Decent option for the night. Basically two gravel parking lots with a small park in the middle. Pretty busy when I was there- some folks camping and others just using the bathrooms/showers. Grateful that this option exists, and conveniently down the street from a laundromat. If you're willing to drive another 30 minutes west - the Glenrock South Recreation Complex is a nicer camping experience.

    Glenrock South Recreation Complex

    Great Creekside Camping

I stayed here for 4 nights while waiting on a package to arrive in Casper. I really enjoyed my stay. It has the vibes of a paid campground - only free. When you get to the complex drive past the vault toilets and initial picnic area. You'll see 5-6 campsites with concrete beds, picnic tables and grills. There is some road noise, but worth it for a convenient location. There is a 5 day limit. I'd definitely return.
