Great little park

This was a great stay other campers around us were very nice and super friendly as well. I think the only thing I would have a complaint about would be the bath house. The toilets can use alittle cleaning but the showers stunk so bad I wasn't sure I wanted to shower in them.

Great County park, preserve, campground

Campground is well maintained, restrooms, showers, recycling station, fire wood available, campground host onsite, resident park ranger, standard RV sites, some electric tent sites otherwise primitive with fire rings and tables. Trout stream (Catfish Creek) runs through campground and park and is…

Pretty spot, but one big issue

Miller River is a good urban campground, as it is tucked away from the city but still within 5 minutes of downtown. Its location on the river is very nice, and the tent sites are set apart from the RV area, which I appreciated. Upon check-in, the workers were friendly and helpful. The bathrooms are…

Ok for first outing

The staff were super friendly. This was our first outing with our new camper and it was fine. The 30 Amp outlet didn't work on our site but thankfully we had out 20 Amp adapter with us. Our site was also kind of small for our trailer. This campground has a ton of potential and could use some…

Good/quiet go to campground

This campground is like your ma and pa place. Staff was super friendly and so was the other campers staying there, kids and adults waved to us. A few activities every weekend and really enjoyed the charity bingo, it brought everyone together..... Now for the disappointment, we went when it was…

Their Passion is Unmistakable!

It’s clear that the owners really care about their campground and their guests. Our site was level, and there was plenty of grass all around the campsite.

The owners would frequently drive the campground in their ATV and were quick with a wave and a “Hello!”.

We only stayed one night as this…

Good spot to sleep over on the road

We stopped here to sleep on our way home from a long road trip. The electric sites are like a typical RV park, not much space or privace. We had site 40west and it was larger, but too close to the smelly pit toilets. Showers nice, hot and clean. The tent sites looked spacious, but not very private.…

Excellent Park

This is one of the best RV parks we have stayed in awhile. Meticulously maintain with good size, level sites. We had a 50amp water site and the dump station was nearby. This county park is very nice and sits in a very quiet valley. A true gem….

I love sidie hollow!

Beautiful campground right by a stream that empties into a huge lake. You can trout fish, kayak, and hike. Not too far from town

Nice, quiet, well-kept campground!

We stayed in Spot #1, which is by the water. We were in a tent, so it was warm, but overall it was a great stay. Very well maintained and a couple nice trails. Dog friendly.

Endless trails, cool cliffs, quiet atmosphere

I have been to Backbone a few times, this spot is one of my friends and I’d favorite. There is no through traffic so it’s quiet. Tons of trails, specifically the spot we camped at was right by the trail so we had easy access. The sites are big so you can camp far back and keep the vehicles at the…

Scouting Trip

We only spent a night at the resort (actually slept in the cave). One thing to know for sure, bring a tarp or tent to cover yourself. We went in March, so with all the runoff from the snow ir was a very wet experience.

I’ve been here twice as a scout so it was a lot of fun to return as an adult…

Nice park

Went there last weekend had to do a walk up everything else was reserved. Clean park area, bathrooms were disgusting though. Talked to the DNR he was very friendly and knowledgeable. Plenty of places to walk around and hike. Overall a good place to stay for a few days but not much to do after that
