## Overview

The Fifteen Mile Creek Campground is located at Mile 140 on the C&O Canal Towpath, in the town of Little Orleans upstream of Hancock and downstream of Paw Paw, WV, on the Maryland side of the of the Potomac River. The campsites are drive-in, large enough to park a small fifth wheel/travel trailer/RV/pop-out with a 20' ft. maximum.

## Recreation

The most popular activity for Fifteen Mile Creek campers is boating and fishing. The campground has a boat ramp for easy access to the Potomac River for kayakers and fisherman alike. Be sure to acquire a Maryland Fishing License for those age 16 or older.

## Facilities

The campground has nine single drive-in campsites. There is one group site available that does not have direct vehicle access. The group site can accommodate 30 people. Each single will accommodate up to eight people. Single campsites have a picnic table, fire ring and grill. Protected pit toilets are located between campsite #3 and campsite #4 along the dead end circle. Potable hand pump water is available from April 15 - October 31. No motor vehicle traffic is allowed on the towpath. Parking is allowed in the drive-in campsites and the adjacent parking lot for vehicles with trailers and support vehicles for the group site.

Fifteen Mile Creek Campground is adjacent to the confluence of Fifteen Mile Creek and the Potomac River on the Maryland side. Tucked in the mountains of Western Maryland and adjacent to Green Ridge State Forest, natural beauty is plentiful all times of the year, but especially during autumn. 

## Nearby Attractions

Greenridge State Forest and Billmeyer Wildlife Management Area are state managed areas available for additional activities. This area is remote.

**Cancellations**

A cancellation is the release of a confirmed reservation prior to the start of the defined late cancellation time frame which results in non-use by the original customer. 

**Camping and Day Use Facilities**

Cancellations up to 2 days before a reservation start date incur a $10.00 cancellation fee.

**Late Cancellations or Cancellations within the Cut-off Window**

• Individual Campsites: A customer who cancels a reservation the day before or on the day of arrival will pay a $10.00 service fee AND forfeit the first night's use fee (not to exceed the total paid for the original reservation). Cancellations for a one-night reservation will forfeit the entire amount paid and will not be subject to an additional service fee.

• Group Facility: Customers who cancel a group overnight facility reservation less than 14 days before the arrival date will pay a $10.00 service fee AND forfeit the first night's use fee.

• Group Day Use Area: Customers who cancel a group day-use facility reservation less than 14 days before the arrival date will forfeit the total day-use fee.

Fifteen Mile Creek Campsite

## Overview

The McCoys Ferry Campground is located at Mile 110.4 on the C&O; Canal Towpath, between the towns of Big Pool and Big Spring on the Maryland side of the Potomac River. The campsites are drive-in, large enough to park a very small fifth wheel/travel trailer/RV/pop-out with a 20' ft. maximum. McCoys Ferry has a tunnel access which limits vehicle height to 10' 3".

## Recreation

The most popular activity for McCoys Ferry campers is boating and fishing. The campground has a boat ramp for easy access to the Potomac River for kayakers and fisherman alike. Be sure to acquire a Maryland Fishing License for those age 16 or older.

## Facilities

The campground has 12 single drive-in campsites. Each single will accommodate up to eight people. Single campsites have a picnic table, fire ring and grill. There is one group site available with space for two vehicles and a small trailer or support vehicle less than 20 ft. The group site can accommodate 30 people and has four picnic tables with grill and fire pit. Protected pit toilets and accessible portable toilets are available. Potable hand pump water is available April 15 - November 1. No motor vehicle traffic is allowed on the towpath. Parking is allowed in the drive-in campsites and the adjacent parking lot for vehicles with trailers.

Tucked in the mountains of Western Maryland and adjacent to Ft. Frederick State Park, experience the history and culture of the area as well as its natural beauty, which is plentiful all times of the year, but especially during autumn.

Fort Frederick State Park is located nearby, a rare pre-Revolution stone fort from the French & Indian War. Living History programming is available weekends in the summer.

Mccoy's Ferry Campground

Welcome to Sullivan's Camp Cacapon.  After retiring from the US Air Force we settled down in Northern Virginia and began our second careers (as so many do).  With the hustle-and-bustle of the DC area (and the dreaded I-95 corridor), we had to find a place to get away from it all.  We absolutely fell in love with the Cacapon Valley and it's crystal clear, slow-moving, waters--as well as nearby Berkeley Springs with it's art scene, antique shops, spas and Apple Butter Festival.  Nothing more relaxing than spending time in the mountains, fishing, kayaking, and just kicking back. 

Sullivan’s Camp Cacapon is more than just a campground, it is a place where families come together and lifelong memories are made! This campground is created by our family for your family. We hope you will enjoy it as much as we do! When we found this beautiful 8-acre property, we truly struck gold. Take exit 16-16A-16B to merge onto I-70 West toward Frederick. Stay on I-70 West and take Exit 52 to merge onto US-15 South/US-340 West. Continue onto WV-51 and turn right onto Hollywood Drive. Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races will be on the right.

Directions from Washington, D.C.: Take I-66 West to VA-267 West, following signs for Dulles Airport/I-495 North/Baltimore. Keep right at the fork to stay on VA-267 West, following signs for I-495. Take Exit 1A to merge onto US-15 South/VA-7 West/Leesburg Bypass toward Leesburg/Warrenton. Take the exit toward Round Hill and merge onto VA-7 Bus W, turn right onto Evening Star Drive, right onto Sate Route 719, left onto State Route 751 and left onto VA-9 West. VA-9 West turns into WV-9 West, follow that to State Highway 9/WV-9. Turn right toward Flowing Springs Road, right at the first cross street, take the 2nd exit in the traffic circle onto East 5th Avenue and turn left onto Hollywood Drive. Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races will be on the right.
