Bryce Canyon RV Resort by Rjourney

    Come Here Digital Nomads

My wife and I are digital nomads, we run our company where ever we go so it's CRUCIAL that we have comfort items, but most importantly that we have **solid internet. **

We travel with 3 kids (ages 5, 3 & 3), 3 dogs, a cat, and a grandma in our 31' Travel Lite, Evoke Model B with the hopes of a road school education for them. EmpoweringHumansAdventures.com

We booked a deluxe premium site (site 16) and were very pleased with the room, the patio, the fire pit, grill, and nice table.  The parking was gravel and not flat, we had to level up.  Had access to 50 and 30 amp, sewer, and water.  Make sure you use a pressure monitor as the pressure was strong.  They offered firewood for sale and our fire pit was very nice.

We were close to the clubhouse which had coffee daily for a charge. ($1.30)  The store had the basics and all but one of the staff was extremely kind to us. If you need more you could walk to Sinclair and get more items.

They were very specific about dogs being leashed all the time, which we fully agree with.  As a former Marine K9 handler, it's normally not the dog that is the problem, it's the handler.  The dog area is very close to site 16.

The basic internet was blah, we upgraded to the faster speeds for $5.23 a day and it was well worth it.  We were able to stream tv for the kids, work on the laptops and do live video conferencing.  Support was very quick to respond when I asked for speed but they weren't able to give me more, but again it was good enough to get work done, stream and do video conferencing.

Cell coverage was ZERO for Sprint, and have to drive a ½ mile before getting coverage.

Overall the campground was pretty quiet, we are pretty close to the highway so you did have some large/loud trucks that drove by.

There are showers (very small) but the water pressure was great and the water was hot.  Bathrooms are always clean and the laundry was just fine.

We shot a few videos to share our experience and will stay here again.

Mossy Cave was very close and we highly suggest the short hike back to the waterfall.  A little further is the petrefried forest which was also nice.

You can zip over to Bryce Canyon National park ($38 entry fee) for the day.  It's well worth it and there's a ice cream shop just before you go into the park that I recommend.

    Things we loved:

    • The deluxe Premium site is great if you have small kids.

    • Internet was solid and gave us what we needed

    • This campground was extremely clean

    No so much:

    • No cell service

    • Feels very old

    • Road noise

Hope this review helps, we hope to see you on the road!

    Panguitch KOA

    Panguitch, UT KOA

This is a super family-friendly campground and with so many "camping" options! There are full hook-up RV sites, cabins, and pre-assembled tent structures in various sizes. Amenities include: Swimming pool, playground, dog park, laundry, restrooms with showers, and Wi-Fi. It's a little close to the main street of the town, but that makes it easy to find!

    Pine Lake Campground

    Pine Lake Campground

We stayed 4 nights at this place. There are no showers and the restrooms are non flushable. There is water located in designated areas. No hookups or dump stations. You have to head towards Bryce Canyon to dump. Garbage is also disposed of off the main road before heading on the road where the campsites located. The hosts were very nice and answered any questions we had. Bugs weren’t bad, but it is a campground mainly used for fishing and people that have side by sides so it can get noisy. If I had a side by side id definitely bring it here to tear up some trails and do disperse camping. Do not I repeat do not take your big rig up Powell Point it will take you awhile to find a spot to turn around and come back down. My grandparents did this with their travel trailer which is 27 in length and they tore up their stairs underneath. All in all I’d stay again.

    Thousand Lakes RV Park

    OMG what views

First of all staff is amazing, so friendly and consistent maintenance routines (not annoying though).

Sites are all gravel with a little grass patch, pull through sites could fit two side by side. All sites seemed to have a table and fire ring. The views on the north and east were stunning, North was all back in and East had some pull through spots, aim for these if you can. They also have tent and cabin sites available.

Facilities were very clean. Office/general store was nice, all the basics; food, ice, wood and souvenirs. Pool is small but well kept. There is a large park area in the center with a playground and volleyball court. Super kid friendly. Bathroom/shower were very clean, a little reminiscent of my scouting days though having plywood doors and gate hinges, does the job though.

Only bad things I can say is that it’s not walking distance to town and no adult beverages sold. Plan ahead and that should not be a problem.

I will definitely stay here again given the chance.

    FR3623 Dispersed

Close to Bryce and Red Canyon!

Excellent camping spots. Good road. Plenty of spaces for big rigs. Shade if you want it, open fields for solar if needed. Verizon cell service was excellent. We found a spot a mile up the road that we liked. Quiet. Only saw a handful of other campers for the 2 days we were here. 15 minutes from Bryce NP.

    Hitch-N-Post RV Campground

Excellent for my 60 feet without unhooking cargo trailer

Best grounds for my big rig around. Rode my Goldwing to Bryce Canyon and explored every park around and this is #1 for big rigs. Grounds are well kept. Bathrooms and Laundry are clean. Management is superior and I paid $45 a night. Would stay here anytime. Lots of 40+ foot nice rigs here.

    Canyons of Escalante RV Park

    Quiet location in Escalante

This is an older, smaller RV Park that has several cabins and a few tent sites. The RV sites are typically pull through and both 30 AMP and 50 AMP are available. Nothing hyper here, but a well maintained park with nice restrooms and showers and a laundry. Located next door to a recommended restaurant and within a half mile of Escalante Outfitters - Espresso, Pizza, Salads and books and gear for your Utah Canyons adventures. Also a half mile to the Official Visitor Center: BLM, NPS and USFS - to answer all your wandering questions.

    Beas Lewis Flat Dispersed

    Capitol Reef Boondocking

Just off of the main Hwy (24), road is in good shape. No clearance or 4WD needed. Plenty of open spaces for big rigs, we pull a 39ft fifth wheel and had lots of places to choose from. Spectacular views of the backside of Capital Reef Ntl Park. Stayed for a weekend and only saw 2-3 other campers. Perfect place to view the stars and the Milky Way! Great Dark Sky area for photography. Also had great cell service!

Bryce Canyon RV Resort by Rjourney

    Great Location

Great location. Nice mountain views. Horses across the road. Mule deer out back occasionally. Small RV park with a lot of small cabins. RV spots are small, gravel, and pretty tight. Some sites are not very level. Fire pits and picnic tables. A few sites had a nice brick patio with table & chairs. 2 bars Verizon. Terrible WiFi that is provided by 3d party. Need to register. Keeps quitting.

Private showers and shared bathrooms. All very clean. Laundry: washers are $6.50!

A nice little playground, used pretty regularly by little ones. Lots of space to walk dogs out back. It’s right on main road but not too noisy.

We would stay there again if back in that area.

Guide to Junction

The Junction area sits at approximately 6,000 feet elevation in central Utah, where the Sevier River flows through high desert terrain. Seasonal temperatures fluctuate dramatically, with summer days reaching 90°F and winter nighttime temperatures often dropping below freezing. RV camping near Junction offers access to multiple ATV trail systems while providing full-hookup services for travelers.

What to do

ATV trail access: South Forty RV Park provides direct access to the popular Paiute Trail system. "Great RV park with full hookups... There are access to the trails right from the campground and the owners are very knowledgeable about the trails that you should ride given the amount of time you are staying," notes one visitor who appreciated not having to trailer their side-by-side to trailheads.

Fishing opportunities: The Sevier River offers brown trout fishing throughout the area, with some campgrounds situated directly on the riverbank. A camper at Sevier River RV Park reported catching "5 brown trout all 10-12 inches" during a brief stay, making this location productive for anglers without requiring specialized equipment.

Mountain biking: Several paved paths run alongside river corridors near camping areas. One reviewer at South Forty RV Park mentioned "a gorgeous paved bike path that runs along the river" perfect for casual rides or family outings without having to navigate difficult terrain.

What campers like

Clean facilities: Campground cleanliness consistently appears in positive reviews. At Monroe Canyon RV Park, visitors appreciate the "clean and renovated bathrooms and showers" that exceed expectations for rural camping facilities. Another camper called their facilities "immaculate" with "excellent laundry" options.

Spacious sites: Unlike many cramped RV parks, several Junction-area campgrounds offer generous spacing. According to a reviewer at Monroe Canyon RV Park, "The spaces are wide and long and can accommodate some pretty lengthy rigs," making it easier for larger motorhomes to maneuver without difficulty.

Friendly management: Personal interactions with staff frequently appear in reviews. A camper at Bear Valley RV and Campground wrote, "The staff was amazing and the store was soooo cute! We booked a night and now decided to extend. HIGHLY recommend!!" This sentiment appears repeatedly across multiple facilities.

What you should know

Seasonal operations: Most RV parks around Junction operate seasonally, typically closing between October and April due to winter conditions. South Forty RV Park specifically operates from "April 1 to October 15" according to their listing information.

Limited tent camping: While many locations allow tents, the facilities primarily cater to RVs with gravel pads. An overnight visitor to Lizzie & Charlies RV-ATV Park noted "I spent a night at a tent site here. There were all 5 Sites available. Toilets and showers are just next to the tent sites."

Variable cell service: Connectivity differs dramatically between locations. One camper reported "My Visible and my Verizon worked great for data also. Cricket was great for phone calls. T-Mobile had good download but miserable upload speeds- hardly conducive to Teams calls." This information helps remote workers plan accordingly.

Tips for camping with families

Wildlife viewing opportunities: Several campgrounds incorporate farm animals or attract waterfowl. A visitor to Wonderland RV Park described "Pasture adjoining sites with bison, cows, and horses just feet from us," creating natural entertainment for children without requiring organized activities.

Playground availability: Limited playground facilities exist in the immediate Junction area. Parents should pack portable recreation equipment as one camper noted that Bear Valley RV "has a playground," but most other facilities don't mention similar amenities in their listings.

Educational opportunities: Nearby Fremont Indian State Park provides cultural learning experiences. A family noted, "Fremont Indian State Park is nearby. We found this to be a very interesting park to see petroglyphs and rock art, along with some examination of cultures and explorers."

Tips from RVers

Site assignment considerations: Some parks assign spaces upon arrival rather than at booking. A camper at South Forty RV Park cautioned, "The only thing I didn't love is that you don't get to reserve a specific site. They assign one to you when you arrive."

Hookup placement: Utility connection locations vary between campgrounds. At Wonderland RV Park, a camper observed "The hookups on our sites were more to one end of the site and not so much in the middle of the site," potentially requiring extended hoses or cables depending on your rig configuration.

Winter weather preparedness: For late season camping, temperatures drop dramatically at night. One tent camper warned, "We stayed in September and by the middle of the night it was about 20 degrees so bundle up!!"
