GuideA beautiful little campground with many of the sites on the river bank. Fishing is near by, your surrounded on all sides by the beautiful Ashley National Forest. Far away from the main roads and the bulk of campers. This little campground is a great place to snuggle up close with your loved ones.

GuideWindy Park, like a lot of camp areas in Ashley National Forest is free, dispersed camping. The only rule is that you have to camp within 150 feet of a developed road. There is a 16 day camp limit for leaving your camper in the same camp spot like most of the locals from Vernal do (leave it on the mountain, and come up on the weekends, or for the hunt, etc.). There are many ATV roads, and hiking trails in the area. It's a quick drive to Flaming Gorge Reservoir. Enjoy the aspen and pine groves located throughout Ashley National Forest. Weather can be unpredictable in the Uintahs, so prepare for anything! We've had hail and snow in July!

RangerThis was the first time we got a yurt and it set an awesome atmosphere. Drive up to the site and then XC ski/snowshoe around beautiful Ashley National Forest. Make sure to bring everything you need (bedding, lights, water, etc.), though some cookware is provided. There’s a vault toilet, an awesome gas stove for easy cooking, and wood stove for cozy heat. Really can’t wait to go back. No grizzlies---both a good and disappointing thing :)
LegendThis it the KOA near Dinosaur Np on the Utah/Colorado border. They had a tough winter and were still recovering in June when we stayed.. the area with the dog park was flooded from snow melt, so it had not been mowed in some time. Mosquitoes were bad. Dog park was unusable. They have a pool. Also rent 3-wheel cycles for kids to ride up and down terrorizing everyone. I is a short drive to Dinosaur Np.
GuideGreat stay here. No real amenities except for a good bar and restaurant. We had lunch there one day. Decent space between sites. No dog park although large grassy area to walk the dogs. RV park is not gated.

GuideEverything you need for a good overnight stay, or launching pad is here. They have full hookups, partial hookups, awesome tent sites, cabins and a sizable area for full timers. There’s a pool, dog park, washers and dryers and a playground.
The staff is VERY nice and accommodating.
RangerNot much of a destination but a great spot to stop for the night. Staff were very friendly and helpful. There’s a large dog park and several other amenities such as a jumping pillow and pool. The view in front of the campground is and oil storage facility but the view to the back is beautiful.
