GuideBelton Lakeview Park has beautiful views of Belton Lake. It is very close to the Belton Dam. The area is not secluded, less than 10 minutes to stores and gas.

ScoutI stayed there for 3 months in my 24 foot motorhome. They usually have a waiting list. Very nice park with mostly permanent residents. Lots of trees. River access. Bathrooms with showers, laundry room, fenced dog park, common areas with rec room, huge grassy area.

Oh yeah, breakfast is AWESOME! We payed more than if we woulda gone out because we were so impressed. But, it was technically free breakfast.
GuideWe are headed south. I look for spots close to interstate. The park is clean, well kept and no appearance of lost long timers. The attendant put us in spot 59 across the street from the dog park. But more importantly a big open field with a walking path around it. Made our fur babies happy. I get in a hurry when we are moving again so we did not try the breakfast. I'm sure it was great. Definitely, a place to stop along Texas I-35 south of Dallas.
TravelerLive Oak is a nice Corps of Engineers park on Belton Lake. The campsites are well maintained with asphalt parking, a covered picnic table, and nice gravel area. We stayed in Site 3 which was waterfront, but no water access, however was shaded and spacious. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will stay again. I only gave it 4 stars because there is no swimming area. There is a boat launch.
ScoutBeautiful flat paved resort with tiny home community, convenience store in the office, heated pool, large clean newly renovated shower rooms, laundry, beautiful fitness center with modern equipment. They also just opened up a lazy river with water Park features like a water slide and splash machines, and just last week they started putting up a giant stone tumbler for kids. Multiple dog parks and a nice large playground. I've been to RV parks and resorts all across the country this reminds me of the expensive resorts in Vegas for literally a third the cost. The wind in Texas is brutal but you'll probably find that anywhere. Great place, great people.
