Santee State Park--Cypress View Campground

Camping Information: The 50-site Cypress View Campground sits on the west side of the park. The Lakeshore Campground, with 108 sites, is located on the east side of the park. Each site is packed sand and has individual water and electrical hookups and a picnic table. Both campgrounds are convenient to restroom facilities with hot showers. Many sites accommodate RVs up to 40 feet.

Primitive Group Area: A primitive group camping area is ideal for organized groups up to 100 people. (An organized group is defined as a group that holds regular meetings and has a lead officer or elected/appointed officials.) The area includes central water and is located near restoom facilities. Reservations are accepted.

Pets: Pets are allowed in cabins 11 and 12 and cabins 13-20 at Santee State Park. Pets are not allowed in any other cabins or the cabin areas. Pets are allowed in most other outdoor areas provided they are kept under physical restraint or on a leash not longer than six feet. Owners will be asked to remove noisy or dangerous pets or pets that threaten or harass wildlife.

This barrier island is accessible only by boat. Bring your tent and lantern for your stay. No running water, no electricity. The only inhabitants here are the wild Osprey, Heron, Egrets, Goats, Turtles, Mallards, and an abundance of other birds and animals always around the island.
