Family friendly with beach

We spent three nights in myrtle beach state park with full hook up. The Campground is big and maximized for renters and RVs. Space between sites is a bit tight but there is plenty of trees and coverage that provides good privacy between sites. The beach was very nice, a lot of people at the beach but plenty of space for everyone to enjoy. It’s super family friendly and the kids had a great time!

Nice good sized campground right on the outskirts of Myrtle Beach

This is a pretty big campground. RV's rule the roost here. Most of the tent sites are on the rightmost section of the park (with the exeption of the tent only site on a separate far left section of the park). There are also cabins available at this park There was a good cross section of people. Many different age groups, and walks of life. Really friendly and chill park. Some very nice decorated tents and one really cool old 'skoolie' (actually a retired Air Force transport bus) which was my favorite of the lot. The beach is only 200 meters away, and there are some nature trails and a nature center as well. The camp store stays open till 9pm and they have plenty of wood and most of the things you will need. And they dont charge you up on items either!

The campsites are clean and feature a water spigot AND a power outlet, even for the tent sites! Tent sites usually do not get power outlets. There is also wifi included, which is another plus.

Now. This is a cool place, but the sites are really close to each other. You WILL get to know your neighbors. Also, you are on the approach/departure pattern for Myrtle Beach International, so planes will be 500 feet above you. Makes for nice photography, but just an fyi.

This is a great option for staying at Myrtle Beach, and if you are with a group and/or really social, you will enjoy this park.

Quiet wooded park on the beach, but so close to Myrtle Beach!

This State Park is in one of the best locations we’ve seen. Nestled in a huge wooded setting, set back from the beach. It doesn’t feel like you are just 15min from the hustle and bustle of Myrtle beach. There is a bike track for easy access to the shopping complex across from the entrance to the State Park. Its 15min from Murrels Inlet(great seafood places!)

The State Park has its own fishing pier and you can walk to Mtryle using the beach! There is an entrance fee for visitors to the Park which keeps traffic down (fee not payable if camping). It is also gated from 10pm to 6am.

Most sites have some privacy between them. Half the sites are full hookup, the other having electric and water. Most sites can fit a travel trailer or larger, with a few sites towards the front of the park reserved for tents (or tiny trailers only). The amenities although older, are clean. Decent size laundry which takes $2 of quarters. Cell service (Sprint) was ok, however the parks WIFI is poor, especially toward the back of the park, do not rely on it. Even in the off season(December) they said it was also due to so many people using it.

Fire rings and picnic tables at each site. Firewood for sale at the camp store for $15 a bundle. Summer it wouldn't work at all. Will definitely stay again.

Very nice

The campground is very clean and the beach is one is the best in Myrtle.

Cleanest part of Myrtle Beach

A refuge from the commercial feel of Myrtle Beach, but only minutes away from major attractions, shopping, and event venues. Very close to Myrtle Beach international airport- watch planes fly out over the beach! Excellent pier for fishing and crabbing (for a fee). Equestrian friendly (seasonally). Great place to bring a bike and explore. There is a park office near the entrance, store at the pier, and a campground store. If RV/ Tent camping is not your vibe, they also have cabin rentals available. Only a short walk from the campground to the Beach and pier with plenty of parking. Showers located in the parking lot right off the beach for easy clean up. ADA accessible beach accesses. Dog friendly. Watch out for Sea Turtles!

Deafening!

We went at the end of October in our Rv. It’s beautiful and close to the beach. However, the loudest campground that I have ever been too. I will NEVER return here! There was music thumping from nearby bar or resort until midnight. It thumped all day long for 3 days! There was also CONSTANT screaming from guests in nearby cabin. Oh ya, there is also a nearby airport so the planes were loud too! So much for a peaceful weekend at the beach.

Packed but pretty

I recently spent 3 days at this park and had a a great experience.

This location boasts 300+ campsites but are rather packed on top of one another. Once it hits about 10 pm you almost feel like whispering is loud as your neighbors are almost at arms length.

The camp store was stocked and had most of what I needed however, a quick trip out of the park and you will have all the stores you need, this is Myrtle beach after all.

The pier is a huge bonus as we fished for 3 days but it is $8 per person to use the pier. Tent sites ran about $40 per night, I would have hoped for a bit more privacy at that price point but overall it was not bad.

The bathrooms and showers were clean and the park was well kept. They offer hiking trials and a nature center.

If you have a camper or RV this is a great place for you. If you are looking for something more primitive… good luck

I still enjoyed myself and the views and beach were great.

Nice love and would camp there again but just expect it to be a bit cramped.

Family friendly beach camping

Family friendly campground with its own private beach.  Ice cream shop, mini golf, water park, bball courts, arcade all included.

Loved it

This park is a peace in the middle of chaotic Myrtle Beach. We would drive to the beach with our wagon since our site was in the back of the campground. I would walk to the beach in the evenings though. Clean sites, clean beach and spacious!

Quite Surprised

COVID ruined summer plans as it did for many, so we ended up here against my wishes. I'm not a Myrtle Beach fan, so heading to this campground wasn't something I was looking forward to.

Thankfully, this turned out to be quite a nice spot. The beach was not overly crowded and the spots were spacious. There's a nice shop and boardwalk nearby and it was well kept. A nice surprise!
