    Cannon Beach RV Resort

    Walk to Haystack Rock

Just east of Hwy 101 in Cannon Beach, this RV resort is an easy (really!) 10 minute walk to the beach, just north of Haystack Rock. A sidewalk underpass under 101 and a path through a small city park makes it a family-friendly, dog-friendly walk to the outstanding beach sunsets. A bit longer walk (or easy bike ride) takes you into the heart of Cannon Beach with all the restaurants, ice cream shops, galleries, coffee shops and candy stores. Campground is open year round, has full hook-ups, good wifi, well managed and maintained, has an indoor pool and hot tub (pool facility was closed during covid, check on availability) decent bath houses (also closed during covid), nice sites with lots of tall trees. They also sell propane, firewood and have a gas station. (And they even have an electric car charging station, if you need it) Fun fact: In the winter months you will likely see the local elk herd around town. Note: no tents allowed and our ATT service only has one bar at our site. Would definitely recommend this place for RV camping.

    Premier RV Resort

    Good Base Camp

Our stay at the Lincoln City Premier RV Resort was good.  The space was clean and the utility hookups were well maintained and functional.  And, staff were very nice and accommodating.  We upgraded to a pull through and in hindsight should not have.  It was close to the road, and many of the trailers in the pull through section appeared to be long term occupants, at least a couple left early in the morning for work and returned in the afternoon.  The location although easy to get both north and south from because it is adjacent to the highway, was in a part of town that seemed a little economically depressed.  I would have rated it higher but for the price, I expected more.  UPDATE  We visited this park for a second time in 2023 and selected a back in site near the north east section of the park and loved it.  We are changing our rating to five stars.

Circle Creek RV Park & Campground

Dog friendly open space near Seaside

Large RV campground just south of town. Very quiet. Friendly staff. Dog friendly including a fenced off dog run! The pups were happy to stretch their legs. Clean bathrooms and warm showers. Laundry on site. We stayed on the grass over in boondock side. Level sites. If you need power/water...those sites looked large and had decent amount of space between. We showed up after office hours and we’re still able to snag a spot.

    Cannon Beach RV Resort

Perfect spot to camp with an indoor pool

Close to town biking or walking. Nice well kept grounds. Cable tv hookups WiFi (although not very robust) Ethernet jacks at power posts, so you could make your own WiFi I guess. Great spot for camping and working. Nice friendly staff. It has the only gas station in town also has air and propane stations.

    Cannon Beach RV Resort

    Elk Bugles and Chuckles

Tucked away in the trees of Cannon Beach is this nice little RV Resort. All amenities were top notch for your needs at a park. The Elk greeted us and were eating all the flowers as we entered. Gas station, propane, laundry, showers, convenience store, pool and two shower/restroom facilities. Paved parking spots with fire pit, picnic tables and full hookup.

Circle Creek RV Park & Campground

    Good for one overnight

Campground has a lot of long term residents, parking spots are very narrow and close together, and park is very close to the main road. However there is a large off leash dog run and the bathrooms are nice and clean.

    Olde Stone Village

    Nice RV park with amenities

This was a pleasant surprise for us. The positives outweigh the couple of minor things, so we gave it 5/5.

    Positives:

    • Walkway to Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum. Clearly marked and paved for easy stroll over to the museum.

    - Pool on-site, but no hot tub. I did use the pool, but for someone like me who has extremely fair skin, only in the last hour of pool time, 8-9 p.m.)

    - Spaces are long enough for big rigs, as long as you get the 65 foot sites. They have two sizes: 50 foot and 65 foot. I'd recommend the 65 foot sites for a big rig, so you have enough room to park your vehicle. There were no gravel sites - all sites were concrete pads.

    - More than one laundry location. Main office building has two washers, two dryers. We didn't check out the other laundry building.

    - More than one restroom location throughout park.

    - Wifi was pretty decent, though spotty at times.

    - The picnic table is modular. If you didn't need the table, it was easy to separate the two halves and have bench seating if seating was needed.

    Minor negatives:

    - While they had recycling containers in our section, there was only one trash receptacle clear across the park. And it was a trash compactor, so when you used your key code to open it, the stench was almost overwhelming.

    - The entrance to the concrete pads was a little steep and might result in bottoming out. It was not a gentle slope, but a sharp incline.

Guide to Tillamook

Tillamook camping areas offer access to both coastal and inland recreation throughout the year. Winter temperatures typically range from 36-50°F, while summer averages 52-68°F with moderate rainfall even during dry months. RV camping options near Tillamook extend beyond basic hookups to include amenities like crabbing access, bay views, and proximity to local attractions.

What to do

Crabbing and fishing: Jetty Fishery Marina & RV Park provides equipment rentals and on-site preparation for your catch. "You can rent items to go crabbing or just eat some of their fresh clams, oysters and crab. We did a bit both! Staff is friendly and hard working," notes Jaime K. The park includes a stocked store with crabbing supplies and boat rentals.

Bay and wildlife viewing: Walk along Netarts Bay for diverse wildlife observation opportunities. "I enjoyed walking my dogs out to see the birds, crabbers, and seals. I was there in a low season month and it was extremely peaceful," explains Pilar F. from Netarts Bay RV Park & Marina. Early morning hours offer the best viewing conditions.

Beach exploration: Access nearby beaches with minimal driving. "The ocean is a 5 minute walk from the site and you can rent sandboards to ride down the dunes of Cape Kiwanda (it's a serious workout!)," reports Ryan E. from Thousand Trails Pacific City. Many campers recommend bringing water shoes for exploring tidal pools.

What campers like

Water views: Several campgrounds feature sites with direct water views. "We were fortunate enough to land a spot right by the water and it was amazing! The park is clean and very well maintained," shares Julie F. about Netarts Bay RV Park. Sites numbered 52-58 are specifically noted for bay frontage.

Wildlife encounters: Many camping areas feature resident wildlife. "Enjoyed our stay and all of the domesticated bunnies. Counted 35 one evening," says Bonnie A. about Pleasant Valley RV Park. Wildlife viewing is possible year-round but most active at dawn and dusk.

Recreational amenities: Several parks offer indoor facilities for rainy days. "They have a large jacuzzi and an indoor pool! They are doing some maintenance this year but thankfully it hasn't been a bother for us," notes Paige M. regarding Thousand Trails Pacific City. Recreation buildings typically open 8am-8pm with seasonal adjustments.

What you should know

Weather considerations: Coastal weather can change rapidly. "We already have a reservation to come back! The only reason it is not a 5 star is the lack of good Wi-fi," explains Julie F. about Netarts Bay RV Park, highlighting that even perfect locations have weather-related connectivity issues.

Noise levels: Highway proximity affects some rv sites near Tillamook. "Oregon Hwy 6 runs alongside the RV Park. It is a major source of road noise during the day and late night," reports Cande D. about Misty River RV Park. Road noise tends to decrease after 10pm but resumes early morning.

Reservation timing: Many campgrounds fill quickly during summer. "I headed to the coast in search of first come first served spots and after many stops with no vacancy I got a tip that this place had openings. I arrived around 6pm and only a few of their 10 tent sites were occupied," shares Jenn M. about Jetty Fishery Marina & RV Park.

Tips for camping with families

Kid-friendly amenities: Look for campgrounds with specific family features. "We have stayed at Pacific City a few times now and I love the campground! They have a large jacuzzi and an indoor pool!" mentions Paige M. Most family-oriented parks offer activity sheets at check-in.

Animal encounters: Wildlife viewing opportunities enhance family experiences. "Cozy, friendly an an amazing view of the Netarts Bay. Loved it so much that we went back next weekend," shares Taka from Netarts Bay RV Park, where families can watch bay wildlife from their sites.

Meal options: Some campgrounds include food service for easier family meals. "Bonus is RV park comes with nice cafe where you can indulge yourself with nice breakfast," adds Taka about Netarts Bay facilities. Most on-site cafes operate 7am-2pm.

Tips from RVers

Site selection: RV parking areas vary significantly in size and layout. "Sites 1-27 are the tightest I have ever seen, so try to avoid them. 52-58 are right on the Bay, and pretty sizable," advises Josh H. about Tillamook Bay City RV Park. Many RVers recommend calling ahead to confirm actual site dimensions.

Cell service and connectivity: Digital access varies widely between parks. "We are full-timers in a 36 ft Class A with a Cherokee Trailhawk tow. AT&T coverage was fair, ranging from 1-2 bars of LTE with speeds up to 2 MB/s. The CG WiFi was descent, with speeds up to 1.2 MB/s," notes Ray & Terri F., providing specific connectivity details.

Level sites: Parking surface quality affects comfort in larger rigs. "Flat paved rv sites, can see it getting crowded during peak season. Prices are on the higher end but you get what you pay for as they accommodate for fishing and crabbing," explains C.W. about Netarts Bay RV Park & Marina.
